In recent news, it turns out that Apple is under a lot of scrutiny for it's controversial Application for their new I-Phones.  Now, this app is being dubbed as the "Gay Cure."  What this new app allegedly does is turn gay and/or bisexuals into straight people.  Now, I don't know how something like that would work, but they claim this is exactly what the app does....  Anyways, it's under a lot of heat right now too from obviously the gay community, and many other folks as well that support equal rights.

To be honest, I think this app called the "Gay Cure" has got to be the stupidest idea ever conceived.  Seriously, this is just straight up offensive and racist.  Hell, I haven't been this pissed off since I saw the film, "Birth of a Nation."  I'm not even black but even I was downright offended by that film.  Granted, I'm not gay either, but I'm definitely offended that Apple would even want to release an app like this.  Seriously, it's just fucking ridiculous.  I have half a mind right now to boycott any and all Apple products just because of this news alone!  Anyways, what are your thoughts on this?  You agree with me that Apple lost their freaking minds?  Or do you think they're justified in doing this?

By the way, here's the video for those wanting to know more:

That sounds like an April fools day joke, one in bad taste of course. Thing is, is it apple that created this? I ask because creating iPhone apps is all the rage these days and it seems like something a christian extremest would come up with hmm

Stevennix2001, Apple does not approve apps of this nature. I believe you are seeing misinformation. Don't believe everything you see and hear until you get all the facts. The app was removed from the App store.

Melpor, I can assure that I never jump to any conclusions without knowing all the facts, but I thank you for the warning anyways.  You really ought to warn a guy when you change your post, as I just found out that you changed yours, so i had to change mine to respond to you.  lol lol  Anyways, I think the simple fact that they even carried an app like this in the first place is what bugs me, as this never should've been available in any of the stores to begin with.  that's the real issue here.

What I would really like to see is Apple come up with a "Stupidity Cure"!

As far as I understand, sexual orientation has nothing to do with race?

        Fruit Cake!

umm...who's the fruitcake?  are you referring to me?  if so, I don't see how that's called for, as I thought forums is supposed to be friendly place to openly discuss any and all topics, is it not? hmm

Stevennix, is a clip from  one of your links you posted.

Exodus International claims to “provide support for individuals who want to recover from homosexuality,” launched the Exodus app on February 15th.

“There is a lot of misinformation and propaganda floating around about the Intent and the purpose of the app,” says Jeff Buchanan of Exodus International.

The app is being dubbed by some as the “gay cure” but the company who created it says they are simply misunderstood.

“I want to provide the information and education for people who are looking for an alternative to unwanted same sex attractions,” Buchanan says.

This is why Apple waited so long to remove the App from the App store.
