I have loved HubPages, so it's difficult to say goodbye to something one loves, even if it's possibly a temporary one until things change. I'm sure that they will change because HP has excellent leadership and they're not only wonderful people, but savvy. It's a winning combination.

To each of you who have crossed swords with me on these pages, thank you for allowing me the privilege of clarifying my own thoughts while I took apart yours! To those who agreed with me, thank you for making me feel good. To those who so patiently helped me understand SEO, tracking, and the numerous aspects that go into making a great hub, thank you six times over.

My last hub is a swan song for HP. You might like to read it, or not.

Wherever you write, may your writing be overflowing with readers and your pockets with gold...

Sophia, I hope you find your way, because I think you are a great writer with so much potential. You have contributed much to hubpages in the short time you have been here and I hope you have learned a few new ideas about internet writing.

When I first joined 8 months ago I felt very happy that I had found such a great community of writers. Unfortunately the times changed and the frustration of hubbers was evident with lashing out at each other and the down talk of the community, Google, hp and more.I have had small rants myself due to the changes.

Let your hubs stay if you decide to depart and let them season for a few months and see where you are then. I too have been searching for that next hubpages community that I will love to write with and make decent income.

Hope you find that next HP, you are among hundreds that are in search of the same goals and a place to call home. Farwell, read the forums from time to time and stay out of the debates and see if we (the community) can turn this site around with some help from our organizers. smile

PS Read your latest Hub smile

Woodmens Post. Thank you. Yes, of course, I will come back from time to time, and I am most definitely leaving my hubs up. Spent far too much time writing them not to want them to earn something back in the long run. Besides, as a writer, I believe that there is something of a responsibility to the community...  smile

It seems to be much worse since the European rollout.

I'm still for giving it more time, but if it doesn't recover, yes, I'll be pulling my hubs.  I think a few more months should tell the story one way or another.

        Yup... Why pull your hubs?

Because I have better places for them.

Okay, makes sense. I tend to write new stuff for new places and leave stuff where I originally put it up.Truthfully, the few times I pulled stuff off some sites, I lived to regret it. Only twice has it been a good decision. However, you write technical stuff so it makes sense to me. smile

Well, as I said, it depends on the next few months.  HP may very well recover. If they do, I'll leave them here.  If it stays stagnant or gets worse (hard to imagine), I'll pull them.

I guess I won't be bothering with that Hub Camp I signed up for - though I do not see any way to dis-engage at the sign up page.

RebekathELLE, Yes, I am leaving the hubs. I am sure that in time HP will once more be the powerhouse it has been. It's just not working for me right now. Thank you so much for all your very positive contributions you made to me during your time here. smile

You just made me laugh out loud! It's like i was typing yesterday that my ears didn't always 'here' what I thought they did and that there are times in my life when I have selective attention! I went back afterwards and wondered how that got there!!!

one more thought, if you're not opted in with the HP ad program yet, keep an eye open once more invites go out, or when it opens to everyone.

..you're welcome, I try to help even though I've still so much to learn!

    au revoir. smile keep smiling!

Best wishes in all your endeavors.  You will definitely be missed!  Your discussions have added even more liveliness to the forums, and your Hubs have provided plenty of food for thought.

I had hoped to send you a private message about one of your Hubs, but I did not see a contact button on your profile.  Is there some other way I can send you some information privately?

Hi Aficionada, I have absolutely no idea where my 'contact' button disappeared to.  It was there! I've looked at the settings and it says it should be there....

I've emailed you, however, with my email...
