You forgot the most enduring love of all. The love of chocolate.

Yes oh yes! Chocolate!  Never lets you down, never grows old, well not in my house anyway, makes any day sweet and sooooooooo many varieties to choose from.  Sorry, I'm going to have to leave now and locate my stash.

I love Ice cream, but in the long run it dose not love me back

I love oranges , after I suck out all the juices out of it and threw it away . What I'm really saying is, I love what the orange dose for me, not the orange itself.

What leads you to believe the orange doesn't garner a level of satisfaction from the experience? The fruit from the tree may simply find satisfaction in the knowledge that it was enjoyed. Maybe it dreams of  where its little seeds will end up. Joyful of the prospect of them finding fertile ground in parts far away from the mother orchard.

Yep. I suspect the orange gains more from the experience than you do. That moment of consumption is its swan song. You, on the other hand, forget about the experience as soon as the last of the juice hits your gullet.

Maybe you are right in a cosmic sense, could apply to the Cougar who eats the Coyote  and the Coyote who eats the  rabbit.

Maybe I'm too sensitive and sometime hear the cries of the screaming lettuces too

They don't cry Castle. They end up exactly where they wanted to. Just lean over to your salad and say something like 'I see you' before you eat it. The radishes, at least, will be appreciative. I think lettuce likes to be sung to, but you do whatever works for you.

Most organic's like music. Does wonders for my indoor plants. Not sure it will work for frozen food though?

Scientist have actually recorded lettuce screaming

Like most often Emile, your are right, it's better to sing while eating lettuce than to cry, besides, I must love myself first

Love is a feeling or inner sense that is felt to a greater or lesser degree depending on the person and usually is not limited to the examples you have provided. There are many definitions in the world as there are people.

There is that love where men and women accept the reality that they may very well lose their lives in an effort to protect those in their homeland, people whom they have never met. A love that demonstrates the respect they have for the young, old, disabled, the weak, the proud etc. as they are willing to be shot at, risking their lives where they may come into contact with landmines.

There is a love that fills the Arlington Cemetery with those brave young men and women who have given their all even more people whom they may or may not agree with.

I salute those forever gone, because of our ignorance now has to pay the price with their lives since we couldn't find a better way to our disputes. May we stopped taking for granted the heavy price of our lifestyle!
