Just how far will a political party go to be or remain in power?

We have two major political parties that would seem to stop at nothing to get or keep power. This was highlighted to me when my son and I went to see The Campaign.  Who do you feel is the least scrupulous? Please try and be non-partisan here(joke of the day).

Who says one is more than the other? Frankly that dubious trophy has probably switched hands a few times the only time I can think of one side was provably worse than the other was the Nixon scandal otherwise both are willing to do whatever it takes pretty much.

Oh I respect your opinion there. I just stand amazed at how the blinders go on when it's someone's "team". Lot's of that in plain view on HP.

I think the issue is not so much that they don't realize their party has done wrong but that they can't admit it for fear it will become political ammunition against them so they have to pretend it's ok.

There are those who have been taught to view their political party as "the good guys". That mentality exists on both sides.
Both of them have their good points and both of them leave an odor when defecating. Getting them to face that is the challenge, particularly in an election year.

I am so glad that you said that.  The biggest tragedy of our political system is that people now view it like a football game where you root for your team and put down the other team. This hurts any real discourse.
Take for example the "oppose Obama on everything" strategy currently in place by the GOP.  It's a strong political strategy but it has drowned out any legitimate conversations about Obama.  We need to be critical of our leaders and this type of gamesmanship has inadvertently given the President a free pass on objective criticism.

Well I oppose Obama on most things and was glad to see Romney didn't pick some stuffed shirt talking head as a VP pick. That's been his only saving grace. Ron Paul ain't happening here.

It's perfectly fine to disagree with Obama.  Obama wasn't perfect. I myself have things that I disagree with him on.  I just think that we should disagree with things that he has actually done.  There is enough to critique without making things up.  We don't need to make up that he is born in Kenya or a socialist, secret muslim.  One of the first things that Obama did when he got into office was give a $400 per person tax cut yet one of the first things that the GOP did was hold protests of Obamas tax hikes(while there was tax cuts.. If we are making up things to be upset about, it gives the President the ability to do whatever he wants.  That is dangerous.
If Romney becomes president and the Democrats on day one decide what they are going to complain about for the next 4 years it would give Romney a free ride to do whateve he wants.
The point of my comment is that we need to be having discussions on what is really happening and not making up a reality that best suits us politically.

The politicians love this polarizing climate of class and economic warfare. It supposes that there are winners and losers through the very nature of the battle. All or nothing issues become the motivation and whatever means are necessary the vehicle. The facts are blurred and the lines are drawn through this with a mere hint of core factors as a guideline. If you have faith in a system that rewards opinion with money and truth with distain then welcome to the seedy underbelly of our political prrocess. Money is the purpose, money is the means and money is the reward. What else could you expect from the capitalization of the political system we operate. The old saying divide and conquer has been taken to great heights in this democratic experiment called America.

        This.

They are shameless liars on both sides, and there is not one ounce of decency in any of it. People go into them with good intentions (not all but many) but being steeped in institutionalized deception and greed ruins them and they then become just another twisted creature in the horde of their particular legion.

You bring up a good point. In our current political system, a person with good intentions and no corporate backers doesn't get elected.  There are some who still manage to keep their intentions and souls but if we want our reps to be accountable to us we need to eliminate the fundraising needs all together.

It is not the political parties but the "Industrial-Military-Compelx" with the CIA in control of the entire government. All elected Officials are nothing more than puppets in their hands.

Knowing that, the CIA will stop at nothing - except the son of man who they have not been able to kill yet, see revelation 5:12 - to maintain control of the world, not just the United States. The CIA is founded by White Supremest whose job require lying with a straight face. Almost every congressman who attempts to make waves end up discarnating in some plane crash, some other "accidental" or unexplained killing like JF and Robert Kennedy.

Both parties are flawed yet represent the only viable alternative in terms of our vote counting for anything.  The progressives have so taken over the Democrat Party that a good old southern democrat of yesteryear would wonder where his party has gone.  The Republicans are mired in tradition, history, name recognition, and still very influenced by the traditional old school crowd of yesteryear.  They could not pick a winning pony in a horse race on their best day. There was a time in America when the philosphy of conservatism and liberalism seemed to co-exist under an umbrella of reasoning that, first and foremost, we were all Americans who believed in the Constitution and the Rule of Law.  After WWII, the NSA turned a significant number of devout socialist and communist loose within our government agencies and that cockroach infestation has grown and spread with time defying even the efforts of McCarthy in its march forward.  By 1963 they had publicly published their goals and those goals are either still very fresh today or have shown significant progress being made through further infiltration of our government functions and bringing control of certain aspects of our society under one roof...the federal government.  Education stands as only one example.  Yet the American people seem to not notice in their apathy and continue to elect people of this ilk to high office assuring that goals will be reached and maybe even attained faster than expected.  Shame on the Democrats for letting their party be taken over by such philosophy and shame of the Republicans for having such a weak spine and the inability to come together and move forward. ~ WB

Good points, @Wayne Brown, but I think the tyranny runs far deeper than this.

Public apathy is by design, through the Corporate Party media kool-aid. The super-elite behind the major corporations (especially banks and military-industrial complex) don't give a hoot about America or the Constitution. They want world domination and will murder, steal, cheat and lie to get it.

9/11 was only one example of what they'll do. Poor Osama bin Laden declared he was innocent of 9/11, though he admitted to other crimes of terrorism. He became the boogie man, like the Nazi lies about communists burning the Reichstag in 1933.

If you don't believe our government could do it, then look no further than the documentation of Operation Northwoods. That operation to murder American citizens for political gain was never carried out, but it shows that the government can and does think up this stuff.

We have proof that 9/11 was an inside job. Tons of iron microspheres in the WTC concrete dust prove that controlled demolition was used. Controlled demolition proves either government complicity or extreme incompetence. Somehow, I think folksy, bumbling Bush was elected just for that reason -- to make the government seem incapable of doing such a thing. But look at Dick Cheney shooting Whittington; he lied about it and tried to cover it up. And look at what Norman Mineta said about Cheney ordering the military to stand down when the plane approached the Pentagon; he was dumbfounded.

The Corporate Party is in control and they don't care if they use the Democrat flag or the Republican flag, so long as they pick the candidates.

Both Bush and Obama have trashed the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Both have skyrocketed the national debt to insane levels. And when that Bubble pops, the bankers will get what they've always wanted -- an empty shell of America ripe for the picking and citizens as debt slaves with a worthless dollar.

Or we could reveal their plot. Elect Ron Paul for president and stop their evil plans. I don't cherish the idea of another Hitler or Stalin running the world behind silver-tongued Obamas or Hollywood handsome Romneys.

I agree with you on most of what you wrote but I have yet to see proof of the 911 conspiracy in factful evidence than what the crackpot media has presented but I do believe that the government was complicit when it has been ignoring the Islamic radical rise to extremism. What can anyone expect from constant delay and demands and out and out thievery when it comes to the middle east and the Israeli dominance of the region. We through our ignorance and arrogance set up an explosive situation and have allowed it to be fed by an elitist Israel lobby for over sixty years. How long do you steal from and oppress a people and not expect some drastic repercussions to ensue? The situation is met by more and more apathetic attitudes as long as we can get the oil out uninterrupted. As far as I can see I would not be trying to attack us over here but moreover if I were them I would atack us where we live. Take our precious oil away for a few weeks or even a few days on a regular basis and you will see a different attitude towards Israel rise in this country. Hey the game is okay as long as we are not affected but make a change in our lifestyle. Why do you think these dirty lying wars are allowed to continue. Freedom, hardly more like control.

Howdy LoneStar. Thanks for contributing your opinion. With your permission, I would like to point out several flaws in your statements and with your conclusions.

“We have proof that 9/11 was an inside job.”
This statement is a huge misrepresentation of facts. First of all, “we” is a loose band of conspiracy minded individuals desperately seeking to justify their inner distrust of government and trying to challenge scientific explanations and hard evidence that goes beyond their understanding. Secondly, no such proof exists.

“Tons of iron microspheres in the WTC concrete dust prove that controlled demolition was used” is false statement #2. The microsheres found in WTC dust samples are described as “iron-rich,” not “iron.” Dr. Steven E. Jones said, “I collected iron-rich particles in the dust by pulling a magnet across the outside of a plastic bag containing the dust.” {1} This means the microspheres could be compounds of iron, which melt at much lower temperatures, such as iron-sulfur eutectic found in corrosion of the steel from WTC7. Your calling them “iron microspheres” exposes you to accusations you are attempting to advance conspiracy interpretations, which are not supported by any evidence.

The same statement, “Tons of iron microspheres in the WTC concrete dust prove that controlled demolition was used” also contains false statement #3. Some independent research on your own would reveal to you that the same type of iron-rich microspheres could be found in 1. Brake pads on heavy equipment, especially cranes, and excavators, 2. Concrete cut off saws with Aluminum oxide and silicon binder, 3. Clutches and big truck brakes, 4. Some sandpapers using silicon binders with aluminum oxide, and 5. Iron fibers and Diatomaceous Earth as used in brake pads, on equipment and vehicles. {2} Again, this is drawing conclusions without having adequate evidence.

Believe anything you wish, LoneStar, but passing along false statements tends to reflect poorly on your credibility, particularly when you fail to investigate claims that are obviously garbage science. However, do not give up. I encourage you come back with real supported evidence, and not theories hatched from unanswered questions and paranoia.

Until then, do take good care of yourself and stay well.

@JSChams, could it be there is only one party -- the Corporate Party?

Both Obama and Romney have major campaign contributions from Wall Street. Goldman-Sachs picked Obama last time and Romney this time.

Both parties have candidates that are picked by the CFR and Bilderberg Group. The Corporations ensure their media arms ignore or demonize any real competition. Look what happened to Ron Paul, our best hope for restoring constitutional liberties and fiscal sanity.

This is no longer a nation of the people, but of the Corporation.

Both Obama and Bush were exactly the same on everything important to the Corporate Party and important to the American citizens. They served the Corporations -- the BIG voters. The little voters don't count.

During the GOP primary season, Romney and the party elite did everything they could to cheat, steal, ignore or change votes. Check out the many YouTube videos by WXIX Fox19's Ben Swann on the GOP election cycle. Some of the video evidence of cheating and changing votes will singe your eyebrows. Videos of ballot stuffing by Romney supporters will make you weep!

George HW Bush's "New World Order" speech of September 11, 1990 was highly prophetic, being exactly 11 years to the day before the grand kick-off event for the NWO -- Operation 9/11. We now know that 9/11 was an inside job; we just don't know who all was involved. Tons of iron microspheres found in the WTC concrete dust is a dead giveaway that controlled demolition was used. Controlled demolition takes weeks or months to set-up in all 3 of the WTC buildings that collapsed that day. Either the Bush family security company in charge of the WTC was extremely incompetent or they were complicit. Heck, the CIA was one of the tenants of WTC7. Certainly they would've noticed something in the months preceding 9/11. But Bush stopped all efforts by the FBI to arrest or detain the Al Qaeda suspects. The patsies were needed for their upcoming roles.

Every effort is not being used to trash the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Every effort is being used to push through legislation that will make the Internet to government shut down, stopping our free speech. Every effort is being made to push through unconstitutional legislation without Congress having a chance to read it!!!

Here are 2 videos. If you watch anything this year, you need to watch these 2. The Corporate Party media kool-aid is poison. Take it from someone who has been off of that poison for 5 years. It's easier to recognize that fact if you live outside of the States.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VebOTc-7shU

And Obama is becoming increasingly criminal:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZjXHjkzMD4

It's the Corporate Party that's is cheating, stealing, lying and murdering to stay in power. They don't care if it's called Democrats or Republicans. They only care about choosing their own man for each party. They only care to keep us quiet long enough while they steal the country. If we think there's a choice, we'll be docile. Normalcy bias does that. And look what normalcy bias did to the German Jews 79 years ago.

Incite them and create a uproar, to make oneself look fabulous at expense of the other. A method used by many for generations.

It is amazing how similar Obama and Romney are in their philosophies and records. A coincidence perhaps? One lie after another as each speak with forked tongue.

Neither is for liberty or prosperity so long as they prosper.

It will make no difference who you vote for because things will remain the same.
