Dang. We need to buy stock in our local hospital. Hubby got out of CCU just a couple of weeks ago, my son-in-law had to have an appendectomy last week, and two of my daughters are there now. One has been admitted for pyelonephritis, and the other has been in the ER for seven hours with severe abdominal pain and CONSTANT vomiting. They're waiting for tests to come back on her. On top of all that, I'm having knee surgery on Wednesday. I think they should at least name a wing after us. lol. If you have time, send up a prayer or throw some positive thoughts our way. Thanks!

Tough situation for all of you. (Ask if they have something like 'frequent flyer miles.) Wish all of you the best with positive thoughts. Spring is just around the corner-- hopefully everyone will feel better, soon.

Lol. Frequent "lier" (in the bed) miles? Thanks, Rochelle.

BTW, they kept the second daughter, too.

You're not alone habee.  Last Oct. I got a new niece, marrying my nephew.  The moved to a small town about 50 miles from me and after a long, long labor she gave birth to a little boy yesterday by C-section.

They couldn't stop the bleeding and gave her an emergency hysterectomy, stuffed her with absorbant and life flighted her to the big hospital near me.  Today was another surgery to fix the last of the bleeders and they finally sewed her up. She's had 16 pints of blood pumped into her as of this morning!  We're hoping she'll be out of ICU tomorrow, into her own room where her new baby has been brought to.

She's not home free yet, but yes, positive thoughts coming your way now that some of the tension is over here.

Wishing you the best, too, Wilderness,,,,, We humans are actually quite fragile, though we tend to deny it. Stay stong  for each other.

Thank you, Rochelle.  It's been a tough couple of days and I just feel so badly for this beautiful young girl.  A hysterectomy at 20 with her first child is not good.

Thanks, habee.  It does indeed put writing that next hub into perspective.  I'm itching this morning to get to the hospital, but will have to wait until she comes out of ICU.

Sure hoping the news at your end is as good as ours.

    Holle,

I am not religious yet defo sending some positive vibes to you and your family. Can I make a suggestion? Have one helleva banquet and get together with your family (like a Thanksgiving type) at your house post hospital visit just simply to celebrate life and show that with the school of hard knocks, you still can celebrate life and positively.

Families and get togethers seem to just help with being positive and celebrating major events.

    Hi Habee,

Many a times we have to face  difficulties from all the sides. Its the same situation for you now. I believe that  God is testing us. He wants to know  that how much we trust Him, and what is  our patience level.

So have patience and trust the Supreme Being. He will never do any bad to us smile

Isn't that a contradiction? If your Supreme Being is putting people into the hospital because He's "testing us" that IS pretty bad. What kind of loving entity would do such things?
