16 Hubs, average of 900ish words, still denied AdSense. Help?

Sorry to bother everyone, but how many hubs do I need to write in order to be accepted into AdSense?  HubPages suggests just 10 although I've read around that suggested 15 yet I'm still denied. I've passed the 6 months holding period now too.

Also, would it be a good idea to apply after every Hub I submit gets featured?

Hey Pazthelobster! From what I can see your application is still pending. Did you receive a rejection email? If so, please:

      - email team@hubpages.com and forward the email you received
      - post a link to this thread
      - hang tight while a member of the team investigates the status of your application

Please do not apply repeatedly as that will decrease your chances of getting approved.

From what I understand, 10 is an old suggestion. These days, it seems like more people get accepted between 20 and 35 hubs. I didn't get accepted until, I think, 28 hubs. Maybe just keep getting content out there? I heard you're not supposed to apply repeatedly, too, though I don't know what the cutoff is - maybe wait a few weeks in between and try to pop out a couple more hubs in the meantime? Good luck.

First of all, 10 Hubs is old advice (as aliasis says).  I do wish HubPages would update that.  I haven't seen anyone get approved with fewer than 20 Hubs in a long, long, long time.   So 16 Hubs is not enough.  I'd wait and apply again when you get to 30 Featured Hubs.

Second, you're in the Phillipines. You must have 6 months' writing history before you apply.  I can see you've been a member for 6 months, but when did you publish your first Hub?

Waiting until you more than ten Hubs might increase your chances at getting approved, but the reason we have ten listed in the FAQ is because that number comes directly from Google. And yes, we asked them recently! smile

Marisa, it looks like I've published my first hub on the 28th of May! Although no one really said anything about the embargo meaning your first Hub. I just hate that my goals keep on increasing. First it was 10, now it's 20 and by the time I get to 30, it'll probably be 50! Sorry, just venting. It's just so frustrating to be excited for nothing.

    Anyway, thanks everyone.

Once I got to fifteen, I think I applied to Adsense again every couple hubs (and at that time, I was writing at least one a day almost every day). Some people do get accepted at 20, so don't feel too discouraged. I think it's partly about luck, to be honest! Anyway, I don't know if because I applied so often I decreased my chances, but yeah, pretty sure it was about 27 or 28 when I got accepted.

I don't know anything about if "first hub" or "join date" is the six month rule, but wouldn't your e-mail indicate that? I'm not sure, but a normal reject would say "insufficient content", I don't know if they'd use the same message for not having an account open long enough.

Anyway, just keep at it, pump out some easy topics to get the words out there. smile

That's the thing! The embargo is included in the rules when applying for AdSense but they make no mention of it in the rejection emails! Ah, well. I guess I keep writing and trying.

Thanks for the encouragement aliasis, really means a lot. smile
