Well, I started yesterday (Friday, 24th) but didn't get any published, although I did some researching and writing.

Now I've published my first four hubs in the on-going challenge!

<no links in this thread, please!>

Well done! I posted my first in the early hours of the morning. I am aiming for one a day and setting my dead line at 12 midnight. I jumped 5 points on my hub just last night. Good luck with yours.

I finished my 1st of 30 close to midnight. Posted it on twitter.I am wondering though, don't you need followers in order to get traffic? I am new to the twitter thing.

If you make sure you add #hubchallenge then people can search that and see who has written on the topic.

Sounds like you're not on twitter so until you are don't worry about #hubchallenge.

But do add the tag "hubchallenge" to your hubchallenge hubs so they get counted.

Hi, well done! I promote my hub on my two websites and my blog, I also get traffic from hubpages and my friends and family have read my hubs. I do not have any fans yet but hopefully people will take to some of my work and the hub challenge will help me accumulate some work.

I asked this question earlier and didn't get an answer.  Are we supposed to tag our hubs with "hubchallenge"?

KCC Big Countryposted 14 years agoin reply to this

It's not required, but yes, many are.  If you do, it will appear in Julie-Ann's RSS feed.  The feed only holds the last 8 though, so if you wait too long to go see her hub, you won't see yours there.  We have lots of people posting Hub Challenge Hubs.

I believe yes to appear in the feed Julie-Ann has set.

I decided to post my actual hub writing schedule for the last hub challenge so that you can see how I paced myself.  I completed 36 hubs in 28 days.  So, if you count the 6 days below with zero and 2 days left in the challenge, that's 8 days I didn't submit anything.  Obviously, on the days I didn't submit anything I was busy researching topics and starting hubs that would be published another day.

Thanks for the cheer KCC Big Country! Thats a reasonable schedule you have. I initially thought that one hub per day could work well...but then you could be inspired and end up with 5 more the next day~so I guess I'm just gonna put 'em up as they come into my head:)

I've already published two. Having completed three more and I am tweaking them up a bit until they're fit for publishing! My personal challenge is to create a logo for each different hub. I guess that's permitted, right? I have already created five cool ones. smile

Archigirl:  I just posted it to show how it COULD be done with lots of zero days and yes, some days you may have more.  Let the fun be your motivator.

Ryan: That is awesome!  You have been doing some intense research!

lol  May I suggest in the middle of the night like I do?  It's about 2:30 a.m. here in Portland, Oregon and I'm working on number 4.  Yawn.

You're off to a great start with your brainstorming, however.  Darkside has some great information on his approach to the challenge.  I've found some useful tips in his blog.

Guys, I have written 12 hubs since the 24th of the 30 hubs in 30 days.  My son said that a challenge would be 30 hubs in seven days so I got my own little challenge going.  I normally average four a day so I am going to set a more reasonable end date between 7 and 10 days.

    1. lindagoffigan profile image57
lindagoffiganposted 14 years agoin reply to this

30 hubs in 30 days completed in 6 days; make that 32 hubs, I overwrote.  I made my son's challenge work for me to make me work harder to reach a personal goal of 30 hubs in 7 days.  I overperformed by two and completed one day before the end of the personal seven days challenge.  Now I have the task of optimizing all five hundred or more hubs using keyword and keywords phrases

Assignment of the 30 hubs in 30 day completed in 6 days on July 30, 2009 at 4:23 pm est.30 hubs in 30 days commenced July 24, 2009.  Now I can sit back and read other hubpages and rest easy.

Guys just transferred hubs I drafted in Atlantis so the total count is 35 hubs in six days at 6:00 PM July 30,2009.

I haven't been coming to Hubpages for a while, but now I'm back to check it out again.

This 30-day Challenge might be a useful way to really get seriously involved with Hubpages and also network with other writers. I would like to see if doing this challenge will build my presence on Hub and also push me to think of topics to write about.

I've done freelance writing for the last few years, but I really need to start making money with it, and I'm thinking Hubpages might one good resource.

I'd say this is a great opportunity to get 30 hubs up and start making some money!  Welcome!
