We only have to see the poverty, the misery, the hunger, the wounde, etc. not to mention all the handycuped children that are born, to realize tha God doesn't exist. How a creator could so mean as to destroy its creation this way ?

Faith is what it's about when you think about it.  Do we see the air we breathe? No but we know it's there.  Do we see the wind? No, we see the effects of the wind.  Do we see the person who made the watch we wear?  No, people can choose to believe what they want yet eventually they will find out the truth.

I do not wear a watch and if I did I would not spend much time wondering who made it.  The wind and air?  I do not need an imaginary being to understand where it comes from.

I do not care what you attribute natural phenomena to, whether it be God or Satan.  Myself, I depend on science and common sense, God given talents, if you happen to believe in a God.

I'll ask you the same question, "did you inherit your religion or did you check to see which was the best?"

Well said and yet another reason why I believe in THE TRUTH.

Sadly, some will come to know it after they die and they will scratch they're wooden heads and ask "why did I NOT listen?"

Neither - experience.  However, we'll both find out one day what the truth is.

Randy Godwinposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Perhaps, perhaps not.  I have seen no proof of your statement.  One has to die first to find out and if there is no God we still don't know.

  6. BJC profile image67
    BJCposted 14 years ago

We will indeed find out.  At this juncture, we will have to agree to disagree.

That is fine with me, at least you had the courtesy to answer my question, unlike others who are afraid to.

I wish each person to believe as they will, but do not use illogical reasoning to try to convince others you are right.

If the beginning of wisdom is to fear a lord, that's superlative ignorance !

This is a warning to all unbelievers. Earlier, your superior, Boss Shrub, ordered all unbelievers off this thread (around post #732). You had better listen; the other minions have vacated.

The non-spiritual self, just as it is by nature, can't receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit—God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by non-spiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ's Mind and Spirit.

By my Holy bucket of Boiling Pasta.

There's so much hate here from people who are pretending to be representatives of their respective religions.

There's room for you all to unite and be happy under the comforting noodly appendages of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

    Be nice to each other.
Try to treat each other with respect.

Pasta, Meatballs, and sauce to everyone is the rallying cry of the FSM. Try Pastafarianism. You'll love it. Burrrp.

From what I can see, most of the hatred is generated by you in the multitude of these threads that you are always creating.

I hope that you feel better in the morning, and that you do not feel the need to attack people so much when you awake.

        RAmen.

FSM, you're letting your noodle down. Completely out of character. Remember "pasta, RAmen, pastafarian...." Don't let me down; you were doing so well. Now, go limp like a good noodle should and resume reading your copy of Elmer Gantry. This should get you back in the proper frame of mind.

(I'm just curious...I don't mean any disrespect, and you don't have to answer, but if we fling you up on the ceiling, will you stick?)
