What do you think the first scandal of the Trump presidency will be?

Full disclosure: my personal view is that Trump is sexist, racist, maniacally self-centered, dangerously attracted to authoritarianism, and averse to anything resembling the truth. The outcome of the election does not change that view.

Now that's out of the way, what do you think the first major scandal of the Trump presidency will be? I suspect it will be related to conflict of interest. As of January, Trump will be CEO of Trump Inc. and President of the country. Unless he severs that link completely, a conflict of interest is almost inevitable and it's just a matter of time before it manifests itself in some way. I also suspect Russia (or Russian "businessmen") will feature in the controversy somehow.

Also, impeachment at some point in the future is a higher possibility than usual thanks to a combination of high unpopularity from the start (more people voted for Clinton) and the enmity between him and the GOP establishment (how much crap will Ryan etc. be able to take?) Not sure enough Republicans would have the stomach for that though. Depends on how dreadful the Trump presidency turns out to be. If it's really bad (more likely than not) I don't think Republicans would hesitate to throw him under the bus.

Either way, scandal is inevitable. What do you think will be the first significant one?

So you think the first major scandal will be that Trump comes out of the closet, then reveals he has a (very cute) adopted baby son with his secret long-term partner, Bob. Interesting, but unlikely.

I guess that the Trump U scandal will be put on ice for a while. Have to see if his missus has anymore great pics in any of the girly magazines, a first for a First Lady. I think of the tightrope Obama's opponents made Michelle walk, now to only look the other way when a 'centerfold' is First Lady of the Land, amazing.....

Anyone of several land mines can go at a moment's notice. He has been working hard to gag the press. But, rest assured, I will be watching him.

A certain horse that I know has a dire case of hoof-in-mouth disease.

You know ;  Those like you simply didn't do your homework with Hilary and decided that , what the hell ,  I know I can get away without vetting properly !
For instance if you had  checked with he people who knew the Clintons the most ,the people of  Arkansas.   You would see that in the election   a two - one margin voted  and polled for Trump !  But NOOOoooooo,........... you believed your biased media anyway , "How can we lose , we are politically correct " after all.?

Time for you to go through what conservatives suffered with for eight years BUT , didn't actually whine about it in the streets .

O Prescient One, hindsight is always 20/20, eh Horse?

Every poll including the right wing ones predicted a Clinton win, and somehow your crystal ball revealed something that all the experts missed?

We should  also give Trumpno quarter, just as the conservatives gave Obama no quarter during the last 8 years.  Your man can expect to be endlessly hounded by the press, so he had better watch his caboose. Slip ups will be broadcast to the world for comment.

Whining? That is all conservatives did with their stupid conspiracy theories, out right lies, fabrications and obstruction.

          As I said, no quarter.....

Politics is .....INDEED FUNNY.   Conservatives ranted when Obama was in office.   Some of the issues were spot on while others were purely hyperbolic.  Now the Liberals are ranting as a result of Trump win.  We will now see the Liberal hyperbole.   Politics changes colors.  Conservative -Liberal.................. The wheels are turning.......turning.........I will sit back & have my sushi & wine.   American politics is a psychological drama of sorts.  As the politics turn, stay turned for tomorrow's episode.

I forgot about the Trump U case. Not sure how politically significant it would be if it remains a civil case though. At most Trump Inc. would be found liable and have to pay damages. Don't think there's any political capital in it.

Likewise Melania's previous role as a model. I'm actually glad she isn't being shamed for being a nude model. She's a grown woman and has the right to choose what she does with her own body, but I see the hypocrisy in the fact that those who would typically be outraged by such a background, are silent now.

And yeah, an ass that thinks it's a horse, is still just an ass.

Yes, scandal is inevitable at the top of the political dung heap. So, I suppose the first scandal will involve us finding out he has a secret illegal alien mistress. And kids. Lots of them. On food stamps.

I think you're right - the first scandal will be over perception of conflict of interest.  They won't find any actual results from that perceived action, but it won't stop the scandal.

I think the first scandal will be Trump firing the White House wait staff who don't meet his standards of physical beauty and replacing them with tall, gorgeous blonds.  When word gets out what happened, he will sneak out of bed at 3 AM and create a new Twitter account so he can trash the people he fired with insulting tweets (look at that ugly schnozz!  Who can blame me!  Her legs were stumpy and fat.  I couldn't look at that every day!).  This won't last very long because Kellyanne will get wind of it and send in the SS to wrest the phone from Donald's tiny little hands.  From that day forward, wi-fi will be blocked in the presidential suite.  Hubpages Trumpeters will marvel at the restraint of their god-like president (Thor!) and will join in the trashing of the women who were fired, insisting that it was their inability to properly place Donnie's silver spoon that justified their firing.  You just can't get good help these days.

    :As the STOMACH TURNS:

Man, never seen so many scandals in my life so early in the game. Take your pick.

    .Racial and civil unrest
.Market jitters and collapse of the US dollar
.100℅ for Israel Zionist then two face with the public and lack of international diplomacy
    .Trade wars and inflation costs.

Like Obama lied about war and bailout. Trump will take it far beyond in history as greatest liar  and war monger dictator. (War monger part may not be so much his fault)
