Doesn't matter how much weight you want to lose.

The law of energy conservation is the same for every person-energy can't be created or destroyed. If we overeat consistently, we will put on weight. If we cut out on the amounts that we eat, we lose weight.

The idea is to eat regularly(every 3-4 hours) and healthily, which means that each of your meals should comprise protein/complex carbs and "healthy" fats.

Such a nutrition programme will provide you with energy and all the necessary nutrients for your body to function properly and for you to carry out your daily activities.

Don't bother, your weight will fluctuate between 1 -2 kilos (2-4 pounds) from eating and drinking.

If you really want to loose a couple of kilos then do some walking and just eat natural foods (unprocessed foods). Stay away from filling yourself.

Eat good during breakfast, and light for lunch and dinner. For late snacks - just eat a fruit.

By the way everything depends on what your weight is right now. If you're overweight - loosing 5 kilos shouldn't be a problem otherwise you have a problem.

If you're at your ideal wieght according to charts then loosing a couple of kilos will take some effort.

    Cheers!

yes.. those few kilos seem to me the hardest to lose. I suspect that the extra stubborn fat is storing toxins which your body does not want to release into your system.
Try these out to help you with detoxing:
        * check out for food allergies/intolerances
        * cleanse your colon (remove mucoid plaque)
        * eliminate unrecognised parasites in your body (ie candida, etc)
        * Detox, drink lots of water, sweat it out
        * avoid drinking alcohol
        * check for hormonal imbalances
        * relax. relax. relax

Maintain between 1200 and 1500 calories a day by eating fruits and vegetablea and exercise everyday for twenty to thirty minutes.  Liquid nutrition drinks can get you started by having two cans and day and then a regular meal of a salad.

If any body has been looking to lose anywhere from 1 to 200 pounds you should visit http://web.me.com/vsi77/STF and you will get the information you need to know there on losing weight. It works. Always remember you must eat to maintain a healthy body even when dieting.  Diet pills do not work, nor do those "magic" potion or cookie diets.

Eat 5-6 small meals a day
Exercise - at least 1 hour of cardio then strength training

I think first and foremost a good exercise routine.  Getting your heartrate up for at least 20 minutes a day - jogging, cycling, swimming, etc.  Also, eating a healthy breakfast is important.  If you eat in the morning it kickstarts your metabolism for the rest of the day.  I usually eat a banana and some granola with yogurt.  Also, fish oils such as omega 3s are supposed to help regulate your weight as well as help your nervous system and circulatory system.  And then of course the obvious - avoiding junk food an binge eating.  (-:

For my part, I just combine 5 smaller meals a day with 3 visits a week to the gym (45 to 60 minutes each).

I boost my metabolism combining weight lifting exercices and healthier eating habits.

My goal is to both lose extra pound fat and gain extra pound muscles.

So far I am satisfied with the results. My 6 pack abs are beginning to take over the fat layout. My other muscles are also toning up!

Best thing to do is to look at different types of diet and exercise routines and make a note of ones that you would be willing to do.

You can find a lot of different diets and exercises on YouTube.

You don't need to make any big changes just figure out how you can adapt the diets and exercises into your lifestyle, you basically just simplify them to make them more suitable for you.

Because regardless what anyone else tells you, you need something that's tailored to you in order to be successful.

and don't rush weight loss it's always going to be a long process so take your time and concentrate at the task in hand.

Diet control and regular body exercise iare very important for the weight loss. Eat more vegetables and less food and take at least 8 hours sleep during night time. Do exercise half an hour day in evenings. Avoid sleeping in afternoons. You should have tight control on your snacks and fat rich food items.

All these people have given good advice. I would also recommend that you cleanse yourself. It will make your belly flatter and make you feel less bloated. If you cleanse yourself properly you should loose about 5 to 10 pounds

The last few kilos are always the most difficult to lose.  It could also be that you don't really need to lose weight, you just need to tone up.

Try this for instance - stand sideways in front of a mirror.  Look at how much your belly sticks out.  Now raise your arms above your head - right up - and look again. If your belly is now flat, you're not carrying excess weight, you just have flabby muscles.

There are fun ways to tone up, my favourite being (of course) belly dancing, and there are quite a few DVD's that target specific areas.

Marisa has made a good point here.

We have become so obsessive in our need to measure everything that we start to lose the feeling for our body. It is not really about kilos or pounds, it is about our wellbeing and self esteem.

So, instead of counting and measuring your pounds and kilos, think about all the things that give you energy and flow and do them. For one this is belly dancing for another making music, and for some it is writing hubs. While writing is not as effective as something more sporty, it is certainly better than eating or worrying about what the scale will tell you after dinner - and it may even boost your self-esteem.

I think the answer is simple and maybe surprising to some...Eat. You should eat breakfast and small meals all day long. This does not mean eat sugar donuts, candy bars and drink soda. You have to eat smart. Non processed foods. "Good" carbs and drink plenty of water. Proteins are important too.
Of course, a little exercise never hurts. A short brisk walk once a day will help boost natural calorie burning. Its all about the foods you chose to eat.

Have a look into the lemon detox diet. It really works to lose a few kilos. However, as with any diet, without consistent exercise and nutrition, the kilos are bound to come back.

How to lose those last few pounds

The mistake that people make too often is trying to lose fat with reducing their calories and aerobic training. Both of these factors are very important, but people often neglect one other important factor - strength training. For a person who is overweight, it may seem that people who are thin, even though they don't eat the right foods are just lucky.

The secret to lose those last few pounds and get really lean is muscle mass. The more muscle mass you have the faster your metabolism is, so you burn more calories. Aerobic training burns a lot of calories during a workout but it has little effect on your metabolism. If you combine both strict diet with intense aerobic training, then you certainly lose muscle. So if you are trying to lose those last few pounds then losing muscle mass is a very big danger.

So the only way to maintain and gain muscle is with strength training. You may not be able to build muscle when you are on a relatively strict diet or do intense aerobic training but will at least maintain muscle. When you are doing strength training, then do not reduce your calories drastically. You need a lot of energy to do aerobic and strength training and if you go below 2100 calories for men and 1800 for women, then you just don't have the energy. Do not starve the muscle but feed the muscle.

Well, there are a lot of very complex answers here. I just use the basics. Y'know, STOP putting junk food in my mouth, then get up off arse & actually move. A good brisk walk to get the heart rate up & actually burn some of the fat off. You do not need to eat only healthy food. Try a balanced diet. Balance, mostly good healthy food, with a little junk. Walk if possible, not drive.
Bottom line, STOP eating lots of shit, & move your arse. Everything in balance.

To lose only a few pounds, all you need to do is cut something out of your diet. Examples include soda, candy, potato chips, ice cream, etc. Do this for a few months and you should drop a few pounds.

One easy way to lose just a few pounds is to change what you are drinking.  Many people don't pay that close of attention to how many calories they drink in a day.  Just by cutting a few drinks a week, whether its milk, juice, coffee, alcohol, or pop, you can quickly lose a few or more pounds.  Hope this helps some.

Start a food journal.  I used fitday for years and now I use SparkPeople.  The key to weight loss is taking in less than you burn.  Those last couple pounds are stubborn because your body likes them!  Other ideas; eat 5 small meals a day and make sure each has protein (aim for about 300 cals per feeding).  Or, up your cardio by 10 min/ day for a month.

Something that worked incredibly well for me--I cut out almost all of the sweets out of my daily eating habits. I also started exercising more regularly, almost religiously. It wasn't much, just two or three times a week for about an hour. I also started carefully monitoring when I was eating because I was hungry and when I was eating because I was bored. I used to weigh in at a hundred and forty--now I'm a hundred twenty some odd and my tummy hasn't looked so unflabby in a long time.

Find your why.  Why do you want to lose weight?  Assign an emotion to that why. It has to be strong enough that it will keep you self motivated when it gets tough and it will get tough.  This will induce a unstoppable faith in yourself  giving you the courage to accomplish not just weightloss but anything that you set forth to accomplish.

i suppose it depends how close to your body's set point you are right now...if its a few pounds but you are 20-30 pounds overweight that's not very hard, but if its the last few pounds to get to a low bodyfat percentage that requires a very different strategy...

one way to lose a few pounds without changing your diet plan at all is to add more activity to your day...if you have kids; play tag, or basketball, or go biking with them after you walk them home from school... if you live near a river, lake or the ocean; take a break midmorning and go for a walk ...if you work in an office; pick a parking spot which requires a 10 minute walk each way to your car...take the stairs... if you are a shopaholic, shop in a big mall instead of online!...if you are a social butterfly join a new hobby group, but pick dancing lessons instead of bridge...
...if you'd like to read about my experience losing my last 5 pounds, i have a hub about it but you'll have to click on my user name to find it as i don't quite know how to insert the link here

Your problem is easy to answer, if you have to detox to lose the weight you don't want, and you need to eat more healthier, and you need to do exercise but time is insufficient there are more problems being added to your current problem without giving some sound advice, two things you really need to do, that will not take up to much of your time, in essence already use the time you have, just more effectively. Eat brown rice, it will detoxify you, provide you with nutrients and minerals in the fastest most effective manner, and drink water. The detox to rid your system of any residue in the form of toxins, the water to flush your system out, and let your body do the rest. No need to exercise, I suspect you already have a good physique. Just brown rice added to your meals, and more water, your body knows how to rectify the situation with the correct fuel supplied.

dial in a nutritional plan suitable to maintain your goal weight with a sedentary lifestyle. Then create a calorie deficit through strength training for up to an hour a day.
Over the weeks ahead, gradually increase back up to an amount that supports your goal weight with an active lifestyle.
