No one would want to disown their child for being gay, at least I don't think so, but I'm pretty sure they would want to talk to them about it, like saying that it's their choice!

HELL NO!  I don't understand why that should even be an issue!  I have only one child and the only thing that would be an issue is that I wouldn't get the dozens of grandbabbies that I want!!!  They'd have to adopt a newborn .... that's all there is to it! wink

No way, anyone who would disown their own child for being who they are has more serious issues of their own that need to be dealt with - firstly cowardice...

I think the parents are not that capable to blend to their sons choice of life. But disown I think that's too much.

There are very few situations in which I can imagine disowning my child and "being gay" isn't one of them.

No, my children are still my children, even when I disagree with them for whatever reason.

Someone who would be capable of that would not be someone who ever really loved his/her own child in the first place.

Certainly not. Not only did my mother not disown me when she thought that I was gay, but she stood by me when she discovered that I am transgendered.

Anyone who would disown their child for who they are and how they were born does not deserve to have children.

I find it funny that someone disown a son or daughter
But I find it funnier that we still have a thought that adverse sexuality is a gene rather than a trait
but hey what ever you need to tell yourself to take any blame away from you and put it on nature

Hell No! If your a homophobe then you'd have issues but they are still your kid and you should love them no matter what otherwise you're not fit to be a parent

no, no and no - they are my children . . . how could there be any question to it.  I can't understand those who turn away.

hell to the NO on that one!  I love who my boy is, and his sexual preferences could never change that.

I can never disown my own child for whatever reason. Even if I don't approve of his lifestyle, he is still my child. I may not approve of his behavior, but i'll still love his person.

No, but I will explain him what are the consequences of being one. Being gay doesn't mean that he have to be a cross dresser or have  a lover, there people who are gay but are very decent and know how to handle themselves.

Disown? Well, that would be ''a little'' too extreme...

Not a chance!!! I love my kids and will no matter who they fall in love with. It's important to stand up for your gay child with all the homophobia in this world. If parents don't stand up and support them who will?

Never!!!!!! I would support him 100%!!! He is my child and whatever he chooses to do I would back him and damn what the world thinks!

Never. I could never treat someone else the way I have been treated in my past. I'm a lover not a hater nor a discriminator.

I would never do that. I believe that a person is born with that predisposition.  Even if not it is so sad. My cousin was murdered and another cousin committed suicide, and their gender preference was involved in these tragedies.

It would take a very cruel and hard hearted person to disown their own child.
