No.  Everyone is human.  And we will at some time disappoint someone else, even if unintentionally.

It would be a shame if you couldn't. While we may all be human and some day make mistakes, to have no one you can trust is perhaps a dangerous way to go through life.

Yes, you can fully trust someone so long as there is open communication and mutual respect and understanding for each other.

Unfortunately, I don't think so.  You never know anyone completely no matter how well you think you do.

The only person you can ever fully trust is yourself

Of course you can if you know the person very well and you have love and respect for each other.

I don't think so. You can trust to a point but even if you think you know somebody really well, one little thing can change that opinion..no one is ever perfect....

I don't know if you are a believer or not, but you can always trust God. I am considered to be a trustworthy person by almost everyone I know simply because I don't like to lie. But I wasn't always like that and I do lie, but it kills me till I tell the truth or will tell the truth once I realize I told a lie. But you can't fully trust anyone, not even yourself at times.

Personally, I can not.......not fully...........all of my life, since early childhood, some little something, has been held in reserve.   There is always a little worry, a little thought, a wish, a desire, a silly fear, a hope, a little something that must be mine alone.

Just a little something, that no one else can intrude into, dismiss, or stomp upon.

I have always been quite protective of this undefined thing............it is mine.

Is it not the same for the rest of you?

I would love more than anything to find a soul mate I trusted 100%. I find it very dificult to trust as people let you down and it hurts like nothing else.  I have friends I trust with my life and hopefully in time I'll find a man like that too.

the bible says:    it's better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.  it also says flesh will fail you, you dear not trust your own

    what does this mean?

to the extent to which you trust your ownself, you may trust someone.

however, be aware that man will fail you.  even your ownself will fail you.

therefore, it's better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man

I guess in life you have three  approaches closed and open and inbetween.

    1. Closed never trust anybody and I am going to leave in my little whole the rest of my life.

    2. I am always going to trust everyone since I am a little hippy and everyone is happy joy joy.

    3. Intelligent person:  Listen to your gut. If it says trust then trust until they defiant it.   If your gut says no then run quick as it is always right smile  no matter how good looking they are.

No but you can decide to love someone and give them your trust.  They may still hurt you but giving them your trust did not make them hurt you. It is like a gamble, and you have to be wise about who you bet your heart (trust) on.

There is an old Arab saying, "Trust in God, but tie your camels."
I think it applies to man as well. While we like to trust people, we need to exercise caution as well. This is especially so when it comes to big monetary matters. Always put them in black and white! ;-)

There must be at least one person whom you trust. How can you manage your relatonships if you don't trust anyone? It's sad to live your life this way.

Only family members.  Outside of family, I do not tend to trust most people.  I tried a few times and got "bitten." Lesson learned!

No, I do not believe you can ever fully trust anyone.  No one is perfect, and the people we love the most are the ones who will hurt us the most.  I trust based on previous actions and how credible and confidential that person has been in my life.

the verdict is still out on this one because i feel that everyone has a breaking point and it depends on the benefits to them of betraying your trust. some people just cant be trusted period and then you have others that will die a person that cant be trusted by any means. you just have to know who and what you are dealing with

Depends on if your glass is half full or half empty.  You can walk around suspiciously, and never have to take risks, and possibly never get any friends.  On the other hand, you can trust someone until they give you a reason to think otherwise.  People are always bound to disappoint you - whether it is a white lie, or not being available when you need them, etc., but if you give them a chance, you will find that most people are good hearted and not out to hurt you.

I think it is not possible. But we can trust anybody until he/she is loyal to us.

Life experience, family, friends, co-workers and mutual friends of friends can never be trusted period. Been burned many times over the years (between you and me) Wisdom and whispers are far apart in this life.

I believe that you totally can.

In order to love someone, you need to let go of all your inhibitions. That includes feelings of mistrust.

If you get hurt, you get hurt. Life goes on. You pick yourself up and you carry on.

Well, doesn't everyone lie? I think if you want to trust someone, you can. But no one is always telling the truth, do they?
