Well, yes i do think that there is life on other planets because science says that it is possible. Scientists have already stated that there are other Earth-like planets in the universe, even if those types of planets are rare, the chance of there being more of them is sufficient.

Somewhere out there, whether they look like us or not, whether there is only one blueprint for life which is the Earth-type life, i.e. humans, reptiles, mammals, fish etc or they are some other type that truly are alien to us, I believe they are out there.

I don't really believe in all these conspiracies though, if aliens were here or have been here we would have some concrete evidence. Instead, we have sightings, stories and so called coverup conspiracies which I believe are only due to human nature.

I also believe that if a race is technologically advanced enough to travel vast distances across the universe and make contact with other races, then they won't be the war-like aliens we see on T.V.

In order to become sufficiently advanced and organized enough to begin space exploration with real intent, the race probably had to advance beyond the war-like, primitive, power-mongering stage and become much more unified and peaceful.

I believe one of the main reasons we haven't gotten deep into space is because we are still in the war-like, competitive, power hungry stage. Once we pass through that stage, which may happen when we experience a massive cataclysmic disaster that brings us together, we'll become a unified and technologically advanced race. Instead of hiding technology and trying to be better than other countries, races etc, we'll be sharing one technology and combining the brains of every race.

I think it would be awful arrogant of us on this planet to think we are the only ones in the entire universe. Whenever someone asks a question like this I immediately think of Star Trek and wonder if I will be around long enough to see the day that it comes true.
I can imagine that the life forms on other planets or galaxies are probably wondering the same thing, is there anyone else out there?
I think people with a more open mind will believe there is life out there, but there are always going to be those that "poo-poo" anything they themselves have not seen and think the rest of s are obviously all loons!

Yes.  There are so many other planet out there.  I made a hub about extra-solar planets yesterday ( www.hubpages.com/hub/exoplanets ) and the debate about whether there is life out there and what form it takes seems to be erupting in the comments.  I personally think there must be life out there, the universe is just too vast for there not to be.

I think there has to be.... Back in history, the UK must have thought "are there other beings across the water?" Your question is the same only it is the next step up, it's basically on a larger scale.

This question has been asked a number of times before.   My view:  Yes.  Why should our one little planet be the only one amongst zillions planets be the only one to have life.

I think it's a mistake to assume that all living things must require what earth-bound creatures require to categorized as alive.    I'm talking oxegen, carbon, et cetera.  For all we know there could be life within our own sun, but life that is inconceivable to our minds.

It's vanity indeed to think that human beings, inhabiting the surface of the third planet out from a very average star in a very average galaxy should be singled out for special treatment.

I am actually reading the book Rare Earth right now. The premise of this book is that microbial life is probably very common in the universe but "higher level animal life" is probably extremely rare due to the wide variety of factors needed for it to be possible. I tend to agree with their premise although it seems reasonable that judt due to the vast number of stars and planets that there is probably some other intelligent life out there somewhere.

If the society like human being, I don't; but if they are occupied by other creature (like angels), I do believe - because angels can live everywhere - they do not need oxygen to stay alive. Their live dimension is different to human. Although, there is a little possibilities of the existence of the living like on the earth on some other planets, but due to the condition that there is no proof for that, I do not believe.....................................!
