Why do I hate being alone? (also seeks approval/attention)
why do I hate being alone? When im alone I get anxious or feel like im missing out on something. I also seek attention I am an only child, and also am easily persuaded by others opinion..how can improve myself..thank you!
I am a writer and a researcher so I love to be alone. As a parent I fear I may never be alone again until I am dead.
It sounds like you are uncomfortable with yourself or are not sure how to entertain yourself. It's time to find a new hobby, one you do alone. Have you ever tried adult paint by numbers? Would you want somebody to see you try? Find something you can enjoy and reward your alone time. A hobby will also help you learn self approval. Good luck!
What you are asking us is what you should ask yourself. I mean, you should think about the reasons why you hate being alone. Is it because you get bored? Is is because you get scared?
Plus, this fear or this hate is strong enough to prevent you from doing stuff?
I think if you just dislike being alone, there's really nothing wrong with that. Some people dislike being in big crowds. So basically it's about personal taste. Although you need to be prepare to deal with being alone sometimes.
But if you have a fear of being alone, it's a bit more serious. And it's even more serious if it prevents you from doing things you want or need to do. If it's this the case, I recommed you to take it slowly but gradually spend more and more time being alone. Do some fun stuff that makes you forget about the fact that you're alone doing it.
being alone is certainly no fun at all for many of us men that are very seriously looking for a good woman to share our life with, but it is very hard for many of us to connect with the right woman today since many women are so very difficult to meet and really think that they are all that. the way that women have changed over the years certainly does make it very difficult since they are nothing like the Real Good Ladies that existed years ago, and they were very committed to their men since they Accepted them for who they were and they didn't have to be Rich either. today it seems much more women are looking for a man with a Very Large Bank Account since many women these days act like they are Very High Maintenance, and that is very sad.
You may not like this answer. You are never alone since you are always with yourself. If you love yourself than being alone with yourself is no problem. Yoga can help you to love yourself and not mind being alone. Other people can distract you from being with yourself.
Hi Badone,
Chuck makes a good point about yoga helping. Being alone is really not possible with so many living entities on the planet. Most living beings like companionship and want to feel a part of something good.
First, love yourself, there is nothing wrong with loving yourself. Be happy an in awe about just existing and being aware of yourself as a loving being. Focus on those thoughts when you think you are alone. Remember that we all are part of a bigger picture. The sun keeps us company, the planet is alive and keeps us company, the animals, trees, flowers, grass etc are all alive and keep us company. Love those things and you will never feel alone.
There are 7.2 billion people on the planet, walk around and smile and think good thoughts about life and wish others well in your heart, you will be amazed how people will respond to you. Be sincere.
You can improve yourself only if you have a vision of how you want yourself to be. Know what qualities you want to develop and work on those with faith and determination every day. Never give up. The world will test you, remember this life is a test. You are a champion because you have love in your heart and are filled with positive energy.
If you are easily persuaded by others opinion, I would suggest that you take time with yourself to figure out who you really are. People will always have their opinion about others, most of the time it is relative to themselves and their experiences in life. Listen to what others may have to say, but remember in the end all your decisions are your decisions.
Take care and live a wonderful life.
