You could speak to those who have passed on.

Maybe there is. Who has been and come back to to say it is or isn't so? And then again, why would you need it? Everything and everyone you need to know would be known.

I don't think there will be. I feel that when we get there it will be the wake up call to realize that there was so much more going on in the world than just what our friends were doing on facebook.

Maybe Heaven is divided up into historical periods?  You could visit Civil War folks at one place, first century Jerusalem folks at another, and I guess there would be a big "YOU ARE HERE" signboard with directions to where you'd go...or maybe Google Maps will have a Heavenly Site with everyone located?  Good question, DK!

Will you need a Facebook if you are in heaven? What if you are able to communicate by just thinking and everyone in heaven receives your status update in their head.

No. I would be horrified. Facebook is for people with issues who cannot connect with others or individuals who are lonely and wish to share their lives with others who don't care. There is plenty of time to speak to everyone who has died since you will be there for eternity.

Facebook is also for wolves who use it for their volunteer work, sharing data, posting Hubpages articles and keeping Anonymus, as usual. : )

What will you need to share and post about? Everyone will know everything. And there won't be "volunteer work" in Heaven.

You can still speak to those who have passed on, the only problem is that you might not be able to hear their reply. big_smile
No, seriously... it is entirely possible to communicate with the spirits of your loved ones that no longer exist in the flesh. It takes practice, and obviously it won't happen with the easiness and clarity of reading and writing with the use of technology. But it can be surprisingly effective nontheless.

Most who can spent our childhood being told to "Stop!" or that we're making it up, so it has been lost or repressed.  With a Heaven FB, *everyone* would be able to communicate across the Divide with ease.  Using this imagery would be good practice smile

Now THAT would be a cool visualization to use in meditation.  Thanks for the idea!  LOL of course, I'm assuming that you mean the Heaven FB would be connect those of us still on this plane to those who have crossed over instead of a means of connecting everyone in heaven to each other ... :-P

Exactly, those of us here on Earth being able to communicate with those who have already passed on, through a medium like Facebook.

Haha ... this must be one of the most outrageous questions (by the way, I like outrageous things - more interesting ...) I have read in quite a while. Do You think You might need Facebook in Heavens to find all the past buddies?

I was thinking that once we get to Heaven, we can use telepathy or something cool like that ... but back to Facebook?! Even in Heavens I am going to be poked? ... lol

Perhaps for some but not for me. I think God will have much more interesting things for us to do when we reach heaven. Things so heavenly and devinely Facebook will be totally forgotten.

Hmm, maybe...if in heaven we don't have to accept new profile formats we don't want or updated policies about our privacy info every two weeks. And I can envision that one annoying angel who endlessly posts "SHARE NOW" motivational images and pix of his butt-ugly kids from their vacations to Nirvana.

Since Heaven is theoretically the most harmonious inter-connectedness of all things in one place, Facebook should surely figure within the Heavenly landscape, it being based on inter-connection.

Though for many it could be their idea of hell :-))

Heaven is for our wildest dreams and wishes to come true and for glorifying God. So, I'm cool with facebook in heaven and all those Jesus status's. But, I must insist on not having any Jesus chain statuses -- you know, "share this status or God won't bless you." I also do not want all the keyword advertisements. We don't need Christian Singles sites in heaven or life insurance. But, we could use chocolate and ice cream ads.. :-)

Funny question and I guess you would have to go the root of it in order to answer it.  Would there be computers and high-speed internet readily available?

if you wake up in the next life and they have face book there,.... you are in hell.

mark suckerburg will change the layout and format every 28 days,...

you will be bombarded by chain posts like,... "bet you wished you had clicked like and share on my picture now,.. dont you,.. SINNER!"

you will no option but to swtch your time line to "deadline"

you will not be able to "like" anything anymore, but you may click on the "brimstone" button if you dont like somthing,...

and lastly,.... you will be forced to read posts from your sicky sweet buddies who made it to heaven and keep posting sacrine drivel from beyond the grave,... "click like and share if you love heaven"

No, I don't think it's gonna be cool cause Good angels might get addicted, start making and liking every other useless post and also forget to lock up the gates of heaven  and the fallen angels will come back and make everyone's life hell...once more!

If you wanna talk to dead ones, I suggest you try twitter!

I believe that heaven is a collection of positive intelligent energy, that joins together to contemplate the next step in your spiritual journey. worldly technology's are irrelevant  in "Heaven" or apart of that wave of positive collective thought and preparation.
