I have to say relaxing in the bath knowing that no small folks are going to knock on the door and I can just chill out for a while without any interruptions.

I run everyday because it releases stress and makes feel good afterwards. I also will go outside and sit on my deck and enjoy the fresh air. It makes me feel free.

An exercise is necessary for good health, so is relaxation.  After eating and  putting in hard work the body needs rest. A person exhausted by hard work recaptures his strength immediately after resting. There is no better  remedy for tiredness than rest. Sleeping is the best means of rest. Generally people rest physically  but mental rest is far from them. .For  a while stop mental exertion, close the eyes, feel peaceful and without tension. this will give relaxation. Unwillingness to do any work is an indication of requirement of rest.

The best way to relax is to practice a form of meditation which you find suits you.  It provides release, centering, and an action plan that eliminates today's information overload and helps the days go more smoothly.

For me, the best way to relax quickly is a combination of deep breathing and muscle tension-release. This shakes out the stiffness while providing the oxygen that turns energy into excitement. I can do this with tension-release exercises, or by dancing.

If I want to deepen my relaxation (either after tension-release, or before I get tense in the first place) I practice mindfulness meditation. With that, I never get stressed out in the first place - I stay relaxed and excited, or relaxed and calm, most all the time.

As a coach, I've found that everyone is different. Some people benefit from: exercise, meditation, yoga, music, or relaxing with a good book.

My best ways are doing physical exercise and carrying on my hobbies. By doing exercise, I release stress with sweating. Usually, I take outdoor running in good weather with warm sunlight, gentle breeze, birds chirping, and green leaves swaying. I never drink and wipe off sweat, which takes the stress out and improve skin. On the other hand, I take hobbies. So-called hobby, it means you like what you are doing. I love changing old clothes into new ones to show my creativity and imagination, which give me satisfaction and happiness.

I definitely like going for a brisk walk and then coming back and reading some reading outdoors when I can! I do so much writing on the computer that it's always great to be outside.

In my experience taking a walk, whatever the weather relaxes me in the stressful situations I've encountered. As we live in a forest right by a beautiful lake, stress is a million miles away before I've taken the first ten steps on my journey through the ever changing woodland.

We're privileged living here and naturally we're all unique, so this may not work for everyone, but I certainly do recommend a good walk to put things into perspective, blowing away the cobwebs, bringing new energy, providing inspiration to tackle whatever brought on the stress in the first place and it's great too for your health.

well, lately i've been in a rush, but, my ways to relax? EAT - foods that you really enjoy that you even; TV - soap operas or movies (comedy); MALL - for people (including me) who don't have many books to read, going to the mall is a good option, not just to buy buy and buy.... Take a walk, talk with someone, well there are lots of stuff that you can do: Basically, anything, some people like to do hard stuff or  do some kind of work to relax, it depends, you know - but relax is the best thing you can do... HEy!, but don't confuse relaxation with laziness!

Massages.  Massages relax my muscles and feel great.  Second favorite way to relax is in a hot tub or hot bath.  Third way is to laze at the beach or park with a good book.

For me, going fishing.  The only thing that matters is whether the cork is
bobbing up and down or the plug being snapped up and causing tugging on my rod if I'm casting.  I can forget everything while I'm fishing except the present moment.  Love it.

The best way to relax is to listen to guided meditation and I prefer when it is of a short duration. I am a very busy mum and sometimes I struggle to find time to have a cup of coffee. I am a big fan of guided meditations but they should not last longer than 10 minites otherwise I get bored or I will definately be interrupted by something or somebody and as a result get even more frustrated.

Another way to relax is to go for a walk.

When it is time to rejuvenate, a few minutes sitting on the sofa where I keep an electric back massager seems to do the trick.  It is so relaxing; I often find myself awakening thirty minutes or so later feeling extremely refreshed.

I try to meditate in a quite room. Let myself relax and clear my head. If that doesn't work I go for a long drive. Then I have to focus on driving and not things that bother me.

The best way for me to relax is to get near water, or in water. I live near a river and just to sit and watch it flow by causes the brain to release endorphins because it has a hypnotic effect. If its bad weather then I tend to go swimming as that is so relaxing just floating around a pool. I feel great afterwards.

Watsu is the best way because you are getting a massage in water. The practitioner holds your head up and your body is suspended on floaters in strategic places. The therapist then moves your body through the water, and your neck is completely relaxed because she is supporting your head with one arm while moving your body with the other. The best relaxation therapy I've ever had!

I've found that the best way to relax is a long walk at night. There is something about being in calm, consistent movement that just releases all of the stresses of the day.

Earplugs.  Life can be very noisy, and it is so relaxing to be able to be still and hear our mind's voice, and then hear that voice be still... I have children, so I use one earplug only --that way I can fall asleep, but I can still hear activity.  Whatever works!

I like yoga stretches at night, refusing to think about problems as I am going to sleep (this is difficult! but possible), and drinking lots of water.

Also a glass of wine can be helpful.

For me, I can relax the most when I am watching a film  on the couch with my love. It is very calming and I fell asleep most of the time after the movie.
Also, I love to take warm baths or occassionally go to get a massage: thai massage is a great way to relax your body and have your muscles streched at the same time.
