   I like packing Humus and snack dried peas for dipping.  I also like tuna salad or egg salad in a red bell pepper halved.

      I just discovered humus and love the garlic flavored one. It can be found at walmart in the family size container. Thanks for the comment.

   I always buy out....  Nonetheless, if you're referring to being out and about (not in an office setting), I pack protein bars, because, they're so convenient...won't spoil...are nutritious and will keep you on the go for a good couple of hours.  If you're going to a location where you can keep things refrigerated, then breads and humus are great; I was just recently introduced to humus by my brother and it's quite tasty.

   I like crackers, cheese, meat, boiled egg, fruit and diet peach tea. :-) I like to have a big breakfast and light lunch.

   If I am brown bagging for work I like to make a big salad and have that for lunch during the week.  If I am going on a mountain hike where a packed lunch is required then I will make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, peeled orange, trail mix, and sliced carrots with ranch dressing.

   I like packing rye bread sandwich with lettuce, salami, gherkins, tomato and egg slices on it. Spices with salt and pepper.

   Sandwiches are my favorite option for an easy packed lunch.  If I can't refrigerate, I almost always go with peanut butter.  If I can refrigerate, there a wide range of options that I like: lunch meat, tuna salad, chicken salad, etc.

   Great question.
   
   I have sports day this Friday and I will take lunch for me and my helpers in the score box and I will probably be taking salmon sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches and ham sandwiches. Mini pork pies. Lots of crisps. Apples and bananas, chocolate, maybe a pasty or two. A flask of tea, bottles of water and a few cans of coke.
   
   Maybe also some wine gums and a few other assorted sweets and biscuits.
   
   For a day at the beach, though, it is just the salmon sandwiches, maybe egg mayo sandwiches, a pasty and lots of tea!
