Once you get over sixty years old, your bladder does the job for you!

Just think about all the possibilities and surprises a new day can bring. Plus, a good breakfast and some yoga early in the morning always make me feel ready for a long day ahead.

I like this answer smile very true that our days are always filled with new possibilities.  We sometimes get so busy we forget that.

I am a happy person, staying home now, retired from 25 yr Teaching Career, I am allowed to enjoy each day keeping our home as spotless as I can work to make it that way. I am motivated on automatic. I enjoy Facebook, Writing on Hubpages, checking emails and researching all kinds of Musically related subject. I enjoy Country Music, Jackson Brownies music and my home is  my life. I also walk for around an hour a day which is very enjoyable and good for my health. Motivation to walk is directly related to the bathroom scales..This is my big thing to work on, those 10 ils that crept up on me! Motivation is not hard to find for me. Coffee is my  big luxury! 2 pots a day!

Wow! If i had that much coffee I'd never sleep (and might never leave the bathroom either).  I also love country music smile

Well let's see there is coffee and then there's more coffee, and then there's 5 dogs at my bed saying it's time to eat, 2 horses banging or hoof stomping saying the same, 2 1/2 acres, my favorite part of checking HP and that makes my heart go pitter patter in the morning (along with the bladder thing) lol

Coffee is deifnitely helpful -  and I imagine all those noisy animals would be a big motivator.

As a christian, it's another opportunity to walk with Jesus and enjoy another day spent with him, keenly aware of his presence in my life throughout the entire day.  His love for me and my love for him are all the motivation I need to get up.  To live is Christ, to die is gain.  Phil 1:21

I love to wake up early to see the beautiful smiles from my family that brighten the day!

I believe that whether we are happy or sad, we still need to face through the day. So why not be happy and the day will always be wonderful!

Well, first, I'm actually a morning person, so I'm filled with energy and things to do in my head, so I usually feel like getting up and doing it... But even if it's one of those days... I have my kids, that crawl in our bed in the morning with lots of kisses to go around and smiles and that's motivation enough...

When others are reliant on my promptness.

Prior to joining a carpool, I was a champion snooze-hitting sleeping-inner. Now, I feel like I have no choice and just get up as soon as the alarm starts buzzing (even if I only had 6 hours of sleep). I don't know if this would work for everyone, but it certainly works for myself, a compulsive-arrive-on-time-to-an-appointment person.

Ah this is a good tip, and probnably would work well for me but unfortunately I hae no one to carpool with sad

Great question ElleBee.  This year has been a true test for me and also the reason I get up and go in the morning.  It started with a trip I took to South Africa in February.  While the trip was amazing - going on Safari's, visiting Robben's island, etc - we visited several villages and just to see those people get up everyday and put a smile on their face in the poverty they are living in Is my biggest motivation.  Also, after being unemployed - my faith has grown.  They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  I don't undersestimate or take for granted any blessing I have and that is my motivation.  With my faith - I believe God is not done with me yet and something big and truly amazing is about to happen in my life -so that is what motivates me to get up and go.
