How often do you hub hop, especially now that the classic hopper is gone?
With the classic hop hopper now gone for good, I find that I am not hub hopping as often. How often during the week do you hub hop, if at all? Thank you for answering.
I had not been hopping at all. I did however hop a few hubs last week.
I hopped a couple last week. But since they have done away with the classic, it seems to take up so much time.
I can't remember the last time I hub hopped. If I'm reading something of someone I follow and the article featured to the right is one I haven't read and sounds interesting, I'll read it. I just don't have the time to hop.
Hi Sha, thank you for answering. Yes, it is very time consuming for sure. Glad to know others feel the same. It is a way to get to know of other hubbers, but the new way is just too slow.
I don't hop anymore, i can't veven see who is the author of the hub, so i read the main page only
As often as I can Faith. I am juggling working on a Hub (challenge) and backup emails right now. It may take a few seconds more but I found a way to still do the 'classic' Hub Hopper.
Hi Kevin, Oh really ... wow, it takes so much time and from what I understand it will not allow you to skip over those you do not want to read. I understand about juggling too.
Not much time, maybe a few seconds more.
Oh really. I just need to get the hang of it then. Have a great day.
Just let me know if you need any help. You have a great day too.
Thanks, Kevin. I can do it, but it just seems to take a lot longer than the classic hopper. So, are you only following questions now? Have a great weekend.
Am I only following questions now? Do you mean Q&A? No, I am working on my Hub right now in between checking my email, HubPages, etc.. You have a great weekend too.
Oh, okay. Just wondering where you have been is all. Keep working hard on those hubs! But try to enjoy the weekend too. Blessings.
I have been around still. Maybe not on here as much because of taxes and things like that but I still manage to be active on here.
Oh, taxes ... not fun! But if that is your job, then you are truly busy right now and that is a good thing. Well, glad you have time to answer questions here too at least. Blessings
Whenever I can is the answer to that! Writing my hub's come first though.
Honestly, I really miss the old classic hub hopper! I do not hop much anymore because some of the articles I just am not interested in and do not want to read them and if I did and had to rate them, I feel I may be biased since I didn't want to read them in the first place, so I just don't hop anymore.
Hello sallieannluvslife, Oh, me too for sure! That is exactly how I feel. I wish it would allow one to just skip over those we are not interested in reading to be fair to that hubber.
I don't think I hub hop anymore. I read most of the ones from the email notifications, and when I boot up the program I get interested in the hubs that are featured. This is all the time I have for hub reading, and I have to admit, it is quite limiting.
Hello MizBejabbers, I only have a couple of times since they did away with the classic hopper. I work full-time in the city during the week with an hour commute, so that limits my time here already. @EGamboa, it was in a weekly email few weeks ago.
Hi Faith, I only hop some hubs about once a month if I have time. It isn't very enjoyable though. Any well written ones are usually on topics that don't interest me and ones I think may be of interest from the titles usually turn out to be poorly written garbage. If you could choose the category that you read it may be better.
Hi Jodah, So true, especially being we can't skip over ones on topics we do not care anything about. Yes, that is a great idea to be able to choose a topic to hub hop in! I hope HP sees your suggestion here.
Hello RoadMonkey, Yes, me too. If they could just tweak the hub hopper to allow us to skip over something we do not care to take time to read, as it would not be fair to the hubber either, I think.

I decided to give hub hopping a try. I was curious to see how good (or bad) the hubs were. I found some good hubs, others not so much. After about my second or third hop, I came across a hub that read alright for the first two or three paragraphs, and then quickly devolved into some kind of...

Does anybody still use the Hub Hopper?I still try and use the hopper, but it just seems like it's constantly filled with rubbish; short articles, ones with no grammar or punctuation, or hubs not even written in English - I was hub hopping just a minute ago and found one hub written gljwgl lafiwjei...

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

I really don't like the "new" hopper and have not bothered to hop hubs since it came out several months ago. In the spirit of helping to clear up the backlog, however, I gave it another shot tonight. The sliding scale ratings are too much to worry with, IMHO. I tried to thoughtfully apply...

There is a new Hub Hopper that is available today. I've posted some details about it on the blog and set this thread up to discuss it and to get feedback. *Note, the Hopper is only collecting data right now, but will soon be used to select Hubs to feature.

I like hopping hubs, learning new things and meeting other hubbers. However, I have absolutely no interest in reading hubs on religion, politics, poems, fictional stories or some far away place I will never visit so I skip them. Usually this is no big deal but I just hopped about 30 hubs and no...
