Why would anyone want him not to be a success for America?

You either have to be anti-American, and be in favor of a one-world-globalized government of subjugation and slavery for all, or just clueless and consider the whole Dem-Rep Lib-Con issue as something akin to a sports game where your 'team' wins or loses.

You can hate the guy all you want... think he is just the most uncouth, belligerent idiot ever to hold the office... but you should still WANT him to be successful for the country.

Makes sense doesn't it? We should want any president to be an overwhelming success. Personally I think President Trump will be fantastic.

Of course we want Trump to be a success. Its just that his version of success doesn't jive with 'the majority' who did not vote for him - which is why protests. He is obviously capable of profound manipulation. He certainly has the potential, ha!

So it is okay then to use Russian hackers to help a candidate win? Can we do that to Russian elections? You bet not. Sorry...success, win win dangle the carrot and push the envelope don't apply in our US Election process.

Success or failure of a President is a relative term.  Some people think Obama was a success while others think he was a complete failure. I think it depends on ones values and beliefs systems which are tempered by what news you believe in. If Trump meets your expectations then he is a success, if he doesn't then he is a failure.

Trump is currently playing to his base that got him elected.  He has not reached out to those who didn't vote for him. In my view, I hope he changes his behavior and focuses on what is important for this country to succeed, not just try to fulfill his pledges to his base.

With Republicans being in charge of the house and the senate.  He will be a great success to their agenda, but not to those who don't agree with their agenda.  I hope he is a great success to all the people of this country, not just one party or the other.  But I also believe that it will be very difficult for him to accomplish in the next four years.

I agree, Mike. That is the problem with our country now. 2 opposing world views...what is success for one is the opposite for the other. We had 8 years of Obama and now it is Trump's turn. Give him a chance but block him within the law...

His idea of success will regress the United States back a hundred years.  Women's Rights, LGBTQ rights are already being eroded.  Racism and anti-Semitism are INSIDE the White House right now.  The very air we breathe and the water we drink are being allowed to be polluted.  Healthcare for the middle class and poor is being eviscerated in favor of profits for the health care INDUSTRY.  Freedoms of speech and the press are being eroded.  Programs for the people like Social Security and Medicare are being lied about in order to make them good for the greedy and NOT the people....  etc etc etc
These are sad times for us.

As someone who has endured 4 decades of Trump in the NY/NJ Metro Region press and lived in the state where he stiffed 4400 employees and dumped 6 corporate bankruptcies on taxpayers, I have no doubt Trump who represents a generation of middle aged male bullies will fail.

Why? Because Trump never does anything without childish spite. Some men do this every do as well. They "get even" with imagined sleights or they "get even" when they manufacture reasons to smear others, usually women.

The very fact that some middle aged men are condoning Trump's links to Russia's Putin only shows how they are "getting even" with their own country for electing Obama whom they know is more intelligent than Trump has ever been.

Here in NJ, the Trump name is so toxic that he flies into his Bedminster golf course in an unmarked helicopter. Something he has never done before.

Men who condone Trump are the same house flippers, thieving contractors who rip off their customers and price gougers who get rich quick by stiffing others.

Trump hired Paul Manafort, a known Putin associate as his campaign manager. But these middle aged males want us to believe that a big mouth, obnoxious, classless boob like Trump didn't know that when he appointed Manafort. There is a YouTube video of October 2013 that makes a liar of Trump who says he "NEVER had any business in Russia." Not only did he, but his son did as well in 2008 when Trump Jr. met with Russian investors. (Ref. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_U2cWpeLSw)

When his now chief advisor, Steve Bannon, a Breitbart and Nazi sympathizer stated at CPAC, "We will smash the state." Every middle aged right wing male stood up and cheered.

In just one month, Trump has managed to violated more government protocols, illegal ban travelers some of whom are citizens of the US who are Muslims in violation of their 1st Amendment Rights.

But...you boys love love love Trump. Right? Time to get some middle aged men's heads sewed back onto their shoulders.

HXProf, in response to your comment, There IS evidence of Russian Hacking by the Russian government. 17 Intel agencies uncovered it. Crowdstrike's IT group was the first to discover it back in October 2016. Intel agents names have to be protected.
