How many Niche Sites are you on?

   I have only about 17% of my hubs on niche sites but have at least one on 10 different sites. I think it would be cool to have at least one on all of them, but there is little chance that I would write about tatoos, popular culture, music or video games.
   Are you a niche specialist?

      Just hit my third today with PairedLife. If I go over that, it sort of defeats the purpose of being a niche writer but I could see someone who has vast worldly experience hitting a lot of them.

      I have about 5%, 25 hubs on niches with over 500 published. About 80% are featured hubs.
      I don’t publish for traffic per se. Many of my articles are for a small audience such as my autobiography. There are over 30 articles and they were written for my family members and friends. I choose to publish here because it is free and easy and I may at some point move them to an ebook format.
      I have other hubs about travel and recipes which are for general public. They get more traffic.
      Some of my most read hubs are political commentary and controvertial topics like climate change...
      
      In order to track my many hubs, I created a table of contents with links to my hubbooks. A hubbook is my invention where I group a number of related articles into chapters...with links forward and back...

      At last count, I've had over 60 of them placed in niche sites. Most went to Owlcation (23) and Letter Pile (21). The remaining ones are in Exemplore, We Have Kids, Hobby Lark and Turbo Future. Most of the articles are new ones; however, I've had a few old article get placed in them, lately.

      Interesting. I have 140 hubs, but my biggest niche is Exemplore, with 58 hubs. That is followed by 13 on Letterpile, 15 on Owlcation, and the thing that surprised me most was I had 1 on Bellatory, Calorie Bee, Delishably, Dengarden, Hobbylark, Holidappy, Paired Life, and Sky Above Us. I have 4 on Reel Rundown, 3 on Remedy Grove, and 3 on Spinditty. So 104 out of 140, and knowing I will rewrite and fix up some of the 36, and delete some. I like a few and don't have the heart to delete them. They aren't bad, but apparently don't interest anyone but me, they need work to get up to speed. Sometimes I find one I forgot about, and realize it has good bones and could be improved. And I have 2 more that were being considered for Exemplore, but after discussing with the editor, we decided they belong on Reel Rundown.
      
      I was happy to see I get my head out of the metaphysical world once in a while! I'm not likely to write about tattoos either!

      Is there an easy way to figure this out or do you have to open every article and just record them manually?  All of mine in my account say HP and it's only by clicking that I see which niche site they are on.  Thanks.

         Hi Natalie,
         
         Go to your Account page and look on the left side. You will see a spot where it says "filters." Double click on that, and it shows a list of all the niche sites. Then when you click on one particular niche site, it just shows what hubs you have on that site, in a list of it's own. So you can see where all your writing is.
         
         I was also tired of looking at the big list of hubs I had under Hubpages.com. The "filters" list helps a lot. And when you click on Hubpages, you can see all the ones left on there which haven't been submitted to niches yet. So it's an easy way to see what you have left, whether you want to improve them, delete them, or just leave them alone for now, because as long as they are featured they are still getting views. You can choose to work on them any time.
         
         I find most hubs do much better on niches, even if it's not my main niche. The ones I have on Letterpile
         don't do as well.

      I'm on 11 sites and am beginning to wonder if that is too many, meaning I have to much diversity in my content.  I enjoy that aspect of things but also know it's good to carve out a single niche or possibly two at most.  Anyone else who has several topics they write on but who is getting a large number of views across the board?

   I am on Dengarden, Bellatory, ReelRundown, ToughNickel, WanderWisdom, Delishably, Spinditty, We Have Kids, CalorieBee, LetterPile, and RemedyGrove.  I don't know if this is a good thing because I am spread out all over the place. But, Dengarden has the most. I have yet to figure out the ratio.

   I have 25 articles spread among six niche sites (ReelRundown, HowTheyPlay, HobbyLark, WanderWisdom, Owlcation, and TurboFuture). I just published my 26th article this week, and I’m hoping that it will end up on ReelRundown. I have numerous interests, but I anticipate concentrating on two or three niche sites for future articles.

   I have 23 hubs on 5 niche sites. Most of them are on Letterpile, followed by PetHelpful. I still have a lot of hubs that need a good overhauling, but haven't found the time to do it yet.

   125 of 162 hubs are scattered over 17 niche sites, with 68 of them on Dengarden.  Of those that are left on HubPages, most should probably be unpublished and deleted.

      That is very impressive...good for you. I disagree about deleting or unpublishing from HubPages. This is still a viable platform.
      The niche sites serve a purpose but it is not a total replacement. The twenty or so categories are just a small subset of all that exist on the web...

            True, but then again how many other websites on the web, in the billions and growing by day, get lots of traffic? Traffic is important but not the only reason to have a webpage or presences. For example, my own autobiography will probably never get more than a few hundred reads. That is ok with me, those are a few of the people that I targeted. They are members of my family and extended family and close friends and colleagues.
            In 30 years when I am gone, I hope they will still be around to tell my story...to my grand kids, and great grandkids...

   I have 31 articles on 9 of the different niche sites. Most of them are on Delishably followed by Pethelpful and Wehavekids. Most of my articles not on a niche site I believe would go to Delishably once I do some major editing. Although I do have some that would go to the other niche sites that I'm already on. I do not for see expanding outside of the 9 I'm currently on. I'm working on fixing up a chunk of articles to get them to Letterpile (I already have 3 articles there) and then I will move on to the rest. I have a lot of articles that still need to be updated and edited so I can get them all submitted.
   
   I will never be a niche specialist, but in the future if I decide to write more I might try and stick to one or two topics. I have not produced any new work in a while though, so it's hard to say what exactly I want to do with my account in the future.

    I'm a turtle writer on HubPages, though I'd like to be a cheetah! I've currently published 23 articles over the years. So far 14 are on niche sites, I'm hoping to improve and move about half of those that remain by the end of this year. and most likely ditch the rest (but also add some new ones.) To be honest, I had I treated this as a casual blogging place when I first started and it wasn't until a few years had passed that I realised it was much more! The breakup is as follows:

I've got old invites I just haven't got around to doing what needs to be done yet for because I REALLY prefer to be creating something new instead of re-visiting old things. I do need to do what was asked though.

    I have 8 articles that are on Niche sites; 3 on SoapBoxie, 1 on Owlcation, 1 on LevelSkip 1 on RemedyGrove, and 2 on HealDove. I have over 8,500 lifetime views on all articles. Didn't sign up to Google Adsense until last June. Since Last year, I made over $16.00. Of the 27 articles that I have, only 4 have reached the 1,000+ view mark since I created it. I have another article that rose dramatically in viewership in just 2 weeks, including 95 views on ST Patrick's day, and that was a political article. My other political article has just crossed the 1,500+ view count and has reached over 5,200 words. It's maintaining a constant viewership of just 17-25 views per day, most of them from Google, but every now and again, there are some hubbers who read that article. I keep things interesting.

    Between my two profiles I have 60 hubs on 12 niche sites, with 27 of those on Dengarden and 8 on Owlcation. I also have quite a few more that are niche-worthy topics, but are older and need editing and updating. Aaah, to find the time!

    In response to someone's question above, here's an easy way to find out how many are on niche sites:
    1––Record the total number of hubs you've posted (HP tells you at the top left of your statistics page, under the Title bar).
    2––Select HP from the sites menu above your account page ("filters" , "Site")
    3––Check that figure again under the Title bar. It will show you how many are on HP alone.
    4––Subtract the HP figure from the total figure. This will give the number of hubs that have been moved to niche sites. That way you don't have to count each one.
    
    Of course, you won't know how many are on each, specific niche site. For that you DO have to go niche site by niche site and look for the total on each page.

    I'm on 6, but I have the most on Hobbylark. I was also thinking it might be fun to try and get one hub on each site, but I don't have much to say about tattoos or pets or the supernatural so might stick to writing about things I know about!

    With the exception of one Hub on HobbyLark almost all of my Hubs are on LevelSkip and TurboFuture. Only two Hubs I have right now are not on the networks. One is a Hub I just published yesterday and the other one is... well an issue to say to least.
    
    I plan on writing a lot articles that would be great for TurboFuture and I am coming up with ideas right now. I love to write about technology and it is fun to learn new things as I write. Right now I am focusing on new websites that are being formed and I am writing about Blockchains and Cryptocurrency. I recently wrote a Hub about a website that used Peer-to-peer sharing.

    My newest hub was moved to ToughNickel yesterday. I also did some spring cleaning and deleted another article because I was not getting any traffic from it on the HP site. In this case, I believed that it was the right thing to do.
