Is President Trump Trying to Kill His Own Supporters?

The only people who listen to President Trump are those who support him, yet if you look at the things he's said regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, it would appear that he's trying to put them at much greater risk and get them killed. How many of Trump's supporters have died needlessly because they listened to him?

Let's start at the beginning with Trump's minimizing the seriousness of the pandemic. Presumably, his supporters believed that everything was "under control" and that the pandemic would quickly go away. Those who believed him probably didn't pay much attention to social distancing rules. They probably traveled without much concern. How many of them contracted the virus and died?

Isn't this basic notion supported by the 10 or so red states who were the last to issue social distancing rules? How many people will die in those states because they didn't take COVID-19 seriously?

What about Trump's support for the use of malaria drugs to treat COVID-19? Now studies are coming out saying that the drugs don't work and actually increase the death rate. Surely only his supporters took that seriously and tried those drugs. How many of them died needlessly as a result?

Then there's his recent tweets to "Liberate!" a few states, encouraging his supporters to go out and oppose orders in certain states. Some of his supporters took this to mean they should gather in large groups. How many of them will contract the virus and die?

Then there's Trump's insistence on state's opening for business early, which many red states, like Georgia, are doing, much to the chagrin of health professionals. How many of Trump's supporters will get Coronavirus in those states and die as a result?

Finally, there's Trump's suggestion that disinfecting the inside of the human body with household products might stop the virus. Clearly, only his supporters would follow this advice. Naturally, poison control centers across the country are reporting an increase in calls about people gargling with bleach and other ridiculous activities. How could those people be anyone other than Trump's supporters?

Is President Trump trying to kill those who listen to him?

Have you seen these mobs, flying confederate flags, with trashy sorts in paramilitary dress brandishing weapons as if there is some other point to be made? Even though in all fairness those that are behind all of this have ask certain people to "tone down" the superfluous items and materials because of "optics". But regardless of how it "looks", it is pretty clear as to what it is and who is supporting it.

Looking at several photos, I noted a dearth of people of color as part of these protests. Since, our (Black) infection and fatality rates are disproportionately high, their demands to "open up" before proper medical precautions are taken subject the Black community to proportionately greater risk.

Who knows, this could be a plot from Trump to eliminate a voting block not likely to support him next fall. After all, he subtlety encourages this rabble while hiding behind official Washington policy regarding treatment of the pandemic.

It's probable that no matter what was happening, the flyers of Confederate flags would find something to complain about.

But telling your supporters to ingest disinfectants will surely kill them.

Hopefully there haven't been any actual discussions of his decisions killing people who will vote against him in November.

It defies logic what Trump is doing - pushing hardest on states that voted for him to use their citizens as guinea pigs and basically see if opening up kills them or not.

Only if the assumption is that everything is done for purposes of being re-elected.  Set aside that assumption, and that everything he does and says is evil, and work hard at figuring out the "why" from the viewpoint of what is best given the circumstances (virus, economy, politics, protesters, food production, inflation, national debt...work with ALL of it) and I'd bet that anyone posting on here could come up with half a dozen possibilities.

Of course, that means that Trashing Trump isn't the game being played so precious few will do that - just maintain that it is stupid in order to keep the game going.

I can't imagine putting your own supporters at risk would get you re-elected. If it goes badly, I don't see how that works out well for him. If it's consistent with his other views on the virus, he thinks and hopes it will work out and is following his gut.

I've noticed the wacko Trumpers on social media are now saying they will not get vaccinated if a vaccine is developed.

It makes perfect sense, to their warped minds. This virus is not as bad as the flu (so they say). It was invented by Bill Gates in cahoots with China to scare everyone into thinking they're getting vaccinated when they're  actually getting microchipped. You know, New World Order, globalist agenda, Democrat hoax, Chinese world dominance.

Somehow, it all makes sense in their muddled minds. MAGA!

Got a couple of friends like that. They brag about how they're not letting tyranny intimidate them! They'll go wherever the want and do whatever they please. It was one of them who just said he will never be vaccinated. He traveled to the state capital for the protests to open up the country. Posted videos of him and others walking around with their guns, high-fiving and hanging close with no masks.

We live in a rural county with a low incidence of the virus. Not for long if theses dumbasses have their way.

                    Freedumb!

I sadly have neighbors like that too. Two of them fly Confederate flags. I am almost afraid to go out and garden now that it's warm out. No, it didn't go away when the weather changed. I get along with my neighbors and like to talk with them. But they won't wear masks, or use hand sanitizer. I am avoiding them. It's so sad. They keep attending events with a lot of people. I guess they are lucky, although one did get the virus.

It's a shame Trump turned a real illness into a partisan issue. But he didn't only do it in red states. I live in Northern NJ. Things are better, but many are being admitted to hospitals each day. R's still insist it's "the same as the flu." Regular flu doesn't attack hundreds or thousands of people in one geographical area. They aren't wearing masks or disinfecting. Now I'm more afraid to go out than ever. My neighbors are having parties, and acting like it's over, and it's not. I feel so uncomfortable around people I like, wearing a mask to protect myself. So we social distanced and stayed home for 3 months for nothing. And still can't get alcohol, peroxide, antibacterial cleaners, and a lot more. It's more scary to me than ever. All the states should have been shut down at the same time. Now it's attacking the South and West, where they wouldn't listen. So many will die after this rally in OK, just like all the congregations who wouldn't listen or thought God would save them at Easter.
