Dreams with a deadlines, plan to make it tame
Loose your dreams, you may loose your mind and life's game

Dreams from the heart, follow by the mind
Dream for a living,  for the good in mankind

To achieve something great it's important to dream,

There would be nothing if one did not wish for something.

Dreams are as important as stars in the night sky

People who work hard, make their future bright

Reach as high you can for the stars.
For what you can hold on to
          Then come back to earth
It is your to.master for ever more.

The sky is the limit, but it is limitless.
The stars are as gleaming as a diamond necklace.
Wear it or throw it away; the choice is yours.
To be honest, the stars are the only hope on the gloomy sky.
Dreams are the source of hope in a human's life.
Because of the dreamers, the world exists.

    Starting with me.

Every day, I flee into a surreal utopia, to escape
The world's prison. It's the same every time:
I have a dream, I love it, I enjoy it, I live it,
Then I turn my back, open my eyes, and forget about it.

Until the night time comes around once more
And in need to sleep I close my eyes.
      Then Dali revisits my dreams
And I escape this troubled world again.

In this horrible world, there's so much more.
I still cannot suppress my want to flee.
To live and die here, a demand of time.
People dream and commit horrific crimes

But underneath this world of hurt,
Of crime and war and greed,
My heart looks for the threads of gold,
          Good thoughts invades my dreams.

Good thoughts are the reason I'm alive today,
Dawn and dusk brings me some happiness and joy.
To live this existence, I rub my shoulders,
Wishing this world turn like I dream every day.

You're getting there. Leave out the Ms and you've got it! The second line requires seven syllables instead of eight. I really do admire you and John and some of the other poets on HP. My granddaughter can write great poetry, but she didn't get the ability from me. Technically, the third line in a Haiku isn't supposed to relate to the first two, but most people I know don't follow that rule. The only other poetry (if you can call it that) that I can write is an occasional limerick. I've published several, including an epic that has limericks for the verses. Sorry I can't promote it here.

I heard His voice saying: "Come closer to Me."

I moved nearer; my eyes closed. A garden

Of roses emerged as a brilliant Light. Amidst this

Scented garden, butterflies dance, urging me to

Play. I feel like a child in desperate need of my Beloved!

To receive Love, a child must cry.

Within the garden I sense a peace
      I've never felt before
as the butterflies fluttery around my being
allowing me to be one with nature.

      Like a child
      I play in the forest
      forgetting those I left behind
as I embrace the outpouring of his love.

Another morning without you, maybe a bright day for all.

But deep down, it hurts to see the void, I know will never be filled.

A wound too deep to heal, a permanent scar I know it will leave.

Sometimes I'm afraid of the good times in my life,

Sometimes I'm afraid of losing what I don't have, and

Sometimes I cry for no obvious reasons.

Now and then, I recall those long-forgotten promises.

    Just a short poem.

I wish I could see you in my dreams every night, but
    Sleep does not come naturally.

When I'm sick of my insomnia, I try to find you, while
lying by the window, gazing at the stars....

I wish I could see you one more time!
Yes, just one more time I wish to see you.

They say it's easy to love but difficult to achieve, but
I believe that once you are in love, it's impossible to leave.

    Today my eyes are moist,
I guess you've ventured into my thoughts again.

Do we chase shadows, seeking light,
Or embrace the dark, shunning sight?
Is life a journey, or a race,
A quest for truth, or endless chase?
In heart’s echo, what truths lie,
    Underneath the vast, open sky?
Do we seek, or do we flee,
From the reflections, we barely see?
