I love that video by Neil Gaiman.
His words touch upon the very core of a writer.

We must keep writing...it's in our blood so to say.

    Nice reminder.   Thank you.

Thank you Brenda. Yes, I thought that video said it all.
I enjoyed your article/poem ‘Life Is Like a Chessboard’ too and the video by Monique Medved was great too.

    John
    Thank you.
There's times when I wonder if God and the Devil play a game of chess together.
    Maybe we are the pawns???

Once upon a time they do. On which side were you? God or the Devil? The later was not smart enough and he lost. So are those on his side.                       Whosoever doubt that put money on the table.  You can't expect a boy of 3 years old to outwit a man of 60 years in a game of chess.

Bredz, I enjoyed reading both John's and your hub today.

This is so bad that we can't comment on each other's works anymore. I'm extremely disappointed with the situation.

Thank you very much for your and John's  generous and ongoing contributions.

Sending Blessings to you and John. smile

Brenda, life is like a game of chess and only thing is that we are playing against an invisible player. You have selected a good topic. Have a nice day.

It’s a wonderful article by John!...and yes, the video at the end summed it up. It is only when we are honest that we start touching the reader's heart and attention. Even if it is science fiction, if we the person writing it doesn’t believe in what he or she is writing, the reader quite naturally, won’t believe in it either. So we need to be honest. Wonderful tips, John.
