Take the time to read Brenda's heart wrenching poem reflecting on her memories of her precious Ron and Mothers Day. It is a lovely poem Brenda.

      Pamela...
I've put a few touches to the area below the front porch.

I know your memories of Ron on these special days are difficult Brenda. I feel for you on these occasions. Only time can dull the grief. You are in my prayers.

      Thank you Pamela.

The flowers really help me.  It's a tradition we always did.

      Thanks for sharing.

      Happy Mother's Day!

You have composed a very moving poem, Brenda. It was very kind of Ron to give hanging baskets of flowers every Mother's Day. And I appreciate that you are keeping up with the tradition. I loved the ones you got this time for yourself. I am sure your love embedded in each of these flower petals will reach his soul, and he will be more at peace. Hugs and loving prayers to you.

Thank you, Pamela, for sharing Brenda's poetry.

        Rosina
        Thanks.

I really do believe Ron likes the flowers I've bought so far.
We always started with the front porch and the deck out back was next.

I haven't gotten to that part yet, but the front is starting to come along.

I think I'll finish the flowerbed in front of the porch first.

I'm working on a hill in the front yard where we used to plant flowers, but we didn't last year.

Hopefully I can get all the weeds out of there and start planting.

        Rosina...
Unbelievably our weather has taken another turn.
I've had to turn on the heat...I'm hoping these flowers survive.
They should...only going to be in the 40's but ohh..it's a shock to the system.

      Pamela...
      Each day gets better.

The more I get unpacked & settled.  Keeping precious memories of Ron around...although it does seem to bother others that visit...I don't care.
This is our home and he will stay here with me for now.

The flowers...well its like the best room of the house.  I love them.

      Pamela....
I'm tackling a hill on the front part of the house.

Removing the weeds and get the dirt ready for planting more flowers.

I haven't gotten too far yet.

I think it might need more dirt.

      Pamela...
I've been working on an area we usually plant flowrrs, but now with plumbing issues the ground might have to be dug up.

I'm not sure whether to take the chance or wait.

I hate not being able to plant there.. but if i do I might have to move them.

That was such a sweet gift Ron always gave you on Mother's Day, Brenda.  I am glad you have kept that tradition alive even though Ron is no longer there to give that gift to you.  You will always have those wonderful memories to cherish, and the beautiful flowers to brighten each day.  Thinking of you with love.

      Thank you so much.

Flowers seem to bring comfort and love.  Their beauty will always have a special place in my heart.

I hope my flowerbeds this year will reflect our love.

Brenda has written a lovely poem. The last verse is beautiful. I love the idea of giving flowers in pots or baskets as gifts instead of cut flowers because with the proper care the plants will live for much longer. Ron's Mother's Day gifts to Brenda were very kind, and her poem is a lovely tribute to him. Thank you for sharing it, Pamela.

I really appreciate your kind words.

Ron was very thoughtful on Mother's day by bringing me flowers.

      It's a tradition I plan to keep.

I'm hoping my flowerbeds will do well this year...time will tell.

But I got an Angel helping me look after them.

      Thank you so much John.

I usually always spend time outside.

It's like the outdoors is an extension of the house.

We have a nice sized deck where we always plant flowers too, but we always started with the front of the house.

In time, I'll get more for the rest.

I'm glad you like this one.

          Thank you.

Everyday when I see these flowers I know I will feel better.

There's just something about flowers that soothe me.  Maybe we talk the same language.

I hope you had a wonderful day.
          Happy Mother's Day.

Each day there are new memories.   Each one precious.

Flowers that i can enjoy all summer really helps .

Right now it's strawberry time.  We used to go to the farm & pick them: but the fields are too wet.
Hopefully I'll get there soon..before they are gone.

What a beautiful tradition Ron and you followed on Mother's day, Brenda. Flowers signify everlasting love. Its very touching that you have kept up the tradition this year too. And the flowers that you have gifted yourself are lovely too. I am sure Ron would be very happy. This poem is a wonderful tribute to Ron.

      Thank you.

He knew how much I loved my flowerbeds & he really enjoyed them too.
      I have four matching pots.

Two are on front porch & the other 2 are on our patio deck.

I can't wait until I get the whole yard looking good & adorned with flowers this year.

So beautiful, Brenda. Your intense longing for him came through the last stanza and off the page (screen wink). Thank God for the loving tradition that will fuel your memories of Ron forever. The flowering plants are gorgeous and full of life. Thank you, Pamela, for sharing.

      Thanks so much Jan.

It's hard, but keeping these memories alive and using the pots we've had from years before certainly helps.

Sorry, but I can't help but wish he were here.

This will keep a part of him with us.

Of course, no 'sorry' necessary. I wish he was there for you. I know it's very hard, especially on the days special memories were formed. A day at a time, one day at a time. Sending hugs of comfort.

He's here with me.  All I have to do is look around.
He's in every corner of this house & yard.

I'll get there.  One day at a time.

          Thank you for those hugs.

The flowers on the front porch are beautiful. You will get it all done when you can, and it is just spring time, so you have time to grow more flowers. I hope the weather cooperates for you.

      Thanks Pamela...
      It's getting there.

The weather is crazy.  We've been up in the 80's and 90's and I had turned my heat off.

Only to find the house freezing for two days so the heat is back on.

Only 66 today, but were headed towards 70's.  Then watch out for the weekend. .the heats coming back.

I love my flowers & hopefully i can get some more areas ready for planting.

I've planred a couple of new barrels this year....our old wood ones fell apart.

I got ones that are waterproof  ..I'll try to post a few picks afterbit.

Still no word on plumbing...so haven't planted anymore out front yet.

Maybe I'll do barrels and then i can move them out of the workers way.
