STILL NO WAY to receive your payment from Hubpages except Paypal???

   I would hate to not be able to participate in hubpages any longer, but paypal is beyond ridiculous now with their spying and thinking they can just take $25,000 out of people’s checking accounts because they don’t like/agree with what people post online (NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS PAYPAL) and I need to close my account.  I’ve wanted to for years and only kept it open to receive my hubpages payments, but I just need to get away from them.
   Is hubpages never going to have any other payment method??? Everywhere else I get payments for my writing they deliver it right to my bank account.

      I've never heard of PayPal taking money out of people's checking accounts. How can that be? How and why did it happen to you?

         I think that you can pay for an item from your checking account via PayPal, but likewise, I've not heard of PayPal removing large amounts of money from a PayPal account because someone liked a comment or expressed an opinion. It does sound most irregular.
         
         I'm not a particular fan of PayPal, though I've had an account for years. That said, it does occasionally come in useful for sending money to friends and family.
         
         I don't see HP changing soon, as they've used PayPal for many years.
         
         Most of these sites use a company to handle payments, even if the money ends up in your account. Medium, for example, use Stipe.

      I don't think there is a way other than PayPal, and I've never had problems with it, and I've been sending money to the family through it for a long time.

         I agree. I've never had a problem with PayPal. I don't have a website that offers them as a way of payment. I only spend online and receive payments from freelance work via PayPal. I don't have a website that is offensive. Perhaps that's the problem. Many sites, whether social or otherwise, are being banned for offensive material. If you're not engaging in spreading ugliness, there should be no worries on your part, Nour.

      People have been asking for years. I also wish there was an alternative payment method but apparently this isn't a priority for Hubpages.

         PayPal is the only form of payment HubPages offers. There is currently no plan to add a new form of payment.

      Thanks for the link, Bev. It would be unconstitutional and reprehensible for any company to withdraw fines from a user's account simply because they don't like what they have to say or stand for.

         Yes, crazy. PayPal has also cancelled accounts of organisations they don't agree with. For instance, the Free Speech Union in the UK, of all things. They reinstated it but it caused a lot of problems. Not least because so many individuals are closing their PayPal accounts in protest.

   Just as a side note about two years now my bank canceled its relationship with PayPal. So, I cannot use PayPal for any purchasing online or in a physical place of business. And, cannot send money to someone. It will receive money from PayPal. So, it seems PayPal is getting shall we say weird.

      PayPal has been sending daily emails offering me discounts if I shop so-an-so-a-site and pay with PayPal. I normally do use PayPal when I shop online because I feel it's more secure than using my debit card. That said, the daily solicitations are tacky at best.

   All I can say is that Paypal has put itself in a sort of mess or confusion.                                     We all know what 'misinformation' represents, and that it leads to nowhere. Alternate payment choices would be best for each author. Let hubpages' hear.
