This is quite humourous Misbah.I also clean clothes often, and the "good" fortune of finding long-lost money in my jeans has happened umpteen times with me. In fact, I even accidentally washed a computer mouse along with my Bermudas and it was a miracle that the mouse worked even after that torture. Thanks for bringing some smiles on a dreary Monday.

I can relate to this also, Misbah. I never check pockets of clothing either, and sometimes find forgotten change. Our agreement though is whoever does the washing gets to claim any stash found.
      Thanks for sharing, Ravi.

Hahaha! John, you are like me checking pockets is a nosy job. I've been trying to explain this to my family for a long time, but they don't understand. At least, you're lucky to have a partner to blame sometimes. tongue
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I am grateful for your generosity, my friend.
        Take care and stay safe!

Ravi, thank you so much for sharing and for your fascinating and humorous comment. Imagine what would have happened if it was a real mouse. Lol! I'm glad your computer mouse was strong enough to withstand the torture. Lol!

This is a funny article, Misbah. I usually do check pockets, as my mother taught me to do just that. Washing the TV remote is funny though. I can see how that happened. I have certainly washed change though.

Thanks for posting Misbah's article, Ravi.

Thank you so much, Pamela. I am glad you enjoyed it. Washing the TV remote was thrilling; I actually wondered if some ghosts and spirits in the room were switching the TV channels. Lol!

    Hello Misbah!
This is a wonderful read, full of humour. I enjoyed reading this, with a constant smile on my face.
I have the habit of checking pockets before washing, but not everyone in the family does that. So, I can relate to this. It’s not unusual to find currency notes and coins in the washing machine, but thankfully no electronic or other items.
    Thank you for the entertainment.
Thank you Raviji for sharing this.

Haha! You are still safe, Di. Washing electronic items is a lot of fun, but I never did that intentionally. Trust me! smile
Thank you so much for reading and for your kind comment. Much Gratitude!
Blessings and Love, as always! smile

This is a fun article with a lot of humor. I never keep my wallet in my pockets so I have never washed money or coins here or abroad. Neither does my Mom. But my brother once washed his brand new pair of earbuds, which was in his pockets. After that he is extra careful about checking his pockets before giving his clothes to laundry.  I loved this write-up and enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you for giving us smiles.

Thank you, Ravi, for sharing Misbah's post.

Rosina, thank you so much for your kind and lovely comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I never keep my wallet in my pockets, but I do keep money in there! Lol! I've washed many things, but the ones I mentioned here were my biggest blunders. I'm glad your brother now checks his pockets before giving his clothes to laundry.  smile
      Much love and blessings!

Misbah, I love your sense of humor. This was so much fun to read. But I've grown accustomed to highlighting passages I enjoy over at Medium. It took me a moment or two to realize why I could not do it this morning haha.

We rarely use currency in our house, so there are few monetary rewards for the one doing the laundry. I've not destroyed the property of anyone else (to the best of my memory) but I did once sanitize my cell phone. It never forgave me, and there wasn't enough rice on the planet to restore it to health.

Thank you very much, Linda. I'm glad it made you smile. Haha! I, too, am accustomed to highlighting text on Medium and listening to articles. I hope HP offers similar features in the future, which seems impossible:)
I'm glad you didn't wash anyone's stuff in the washing machine, but sanitizing a cell phone also sounds interesting. lol! When my brother was a kid, he used to put everyone's phone in a glass of water, and I recall him damaging many of our phones. Lol! smile
      Take care and keep smiling.
      Blessings and Lots of Love!

Finding unexpected money is a lovely surprise!  The accidents are interesting, though I suspect they weren’t at the time. I don’t have any comparable events with respect to doing the laundry to share at the moment, but I’m thinking about washing accidents in my life. Thanks for creating the amusing article, Misbah, and thanks for sharing it, Ravi.

Creatures of habit, we always use wallets, there is never a loose change in our pockets, only receipts which sometimes multiply there.

Haha....it sounds to  Me like you're unconsciously doing this on purpose so you don't have to do their laundry any longer.

You think they would start doing their own laundry by now.

Hey gal...this one made me smile.

I, too, have washed things in the laundry.

I started checking pockets when Ron was here, because he never emptied them.
I think I even washed an SD card from work...something like that...a thing you plug into computer.

I always love it when I find a few dollars....too bad I don't surprise myself more often.

Glad to see you.  Hope you are doing well.

    Love
    Bredz

      Sshhhh...! Lol!
Bredz, I am very smart and innocent; I washed some unexpected things, but trust me, I never wanted to wash all that. I believe it is my family's fault, as well as the washing machine's, that the machine cannot open while the washing process is in progress. I am 100% innocent. smile. tongue
Thank you so much for reading, and I really appreciate your wonderful comment.smile

        I vote innocent.

I can actually push button in on mine...and it will stop. Then after a few seconds it clicks so I can open the door.

But I never have a clue that something is in there until it's too late.

Yes...you are very smart.  One day they will realize it.

        Take care...and happy washing.
