Thanks, John, for walking us through your journey of 13 years and 600 pieces on Hubpages.

Your poem goes through the good times and then gradually through the deteriorating times when comments were eliminated, ratings were discontinued, and Google algorithms started playing havoc. I must also admire your dedication and resilience, with which you continued your passion for writing on this site and helping all new authors in their journey.

Thanks for being a poet par excellence and a good friend in HP. The link to John's article is as below.

Ravi, thank you for your support and friendship here. Despite all the changes, there is a wonderful group of people here who support and encourage each other. It makes writing here still worthwhile.
      I appreciate you sharing this.

I am glad, John, you wrote a hub to celebrate the milestone of having authored 600 hubs. And you gave me the credit for making you aware of that. Thank you so much. Yes, naturally, I loved the poetry you wrote in this hub, narrating all the ups and downs of HubPages, the facilities fellow writers once had and how your passion is still alive today to keep writing here. You are an inspiration to everyone here, and you do deserve to celebrate the great achievement.

Thanks, Ravi, for sharing John's post.

Hi Rosina, I don’t know how it happens, but this is not the first time I have not been notified of a comment you made about one of my articles. I swear last time I checked the first comment after Ravi’s initial one was from Val…but now yours has appeared as the first. Maybe if two are made at the same time only one shows up for a while…no idea.
Anyway, I love your generous comment and appreciate your congratulations. If I can inspire even one person I have succeeded. Thank you.

John -- I have no right to talk about accomplishments of this kind, ever since I closed my account twice here, not caring about losing hundreds of articles. But I can certainly imagine your own joy -- so congratulations!

John, congratulations on your 600th, and thank you for writing this, the 1st of the next 600. There have been a lot of ups and downs with Hub Pages (more downs recently, it seems), but through it all you have endured and I am glad that you have. Writing isn't something you do, it's like breathing. You simply must write.

We have found many friends here, have lost a few, and have recently gained some new ones. I'm glad you are here.

Hello Linda. I agree writing is like breathing and that is why I am still here despite all the changes. The friends I have here are a big part of ensuring I stay. I am optimistic that things will eventually improve here so I am sticking it out. Glad you are still here too.

Great message I learned in the very last video about when someone aspires to be a writer. Congratulations John! It may be 600 articles here but I think you've written poems and short stories published or not, near a thousand or more already it's also a lifetime achievement I think.

It's a great motivation that even if at first things aren't going well there's still ton of possibilities for success and to how much of literary pieces we can produce.

Thank you, Gianella. I am glad you learned something from the last video. Oh, yes I would have written well over a thousand poems and articles. Each of my Poems From the Porch articles contained at least three or four poems and I write at other sites as well. Yes, we need to persist as writers, and you never know what may happen.

I always love your poems, John, and this was no exception. Congrats on your 600 articles. I have deleted a few dozens over the years. There was a lot of truth in your poem.

    Congratulations John!

It's a milestone that will keep you going to reach the next one.

I love that video...so, you want to be a writer.

I think you fit that writing mold...when your muse hits...you tap the words away.

Looking forward to the ones to come.

Hi Brenda, yes, I  have my sights set on the next milestone…602 articles lol. Sometimes I think my muse isn’t doing her job, that’s when she surprises me and I have trouble controlling her. Glad you enjoyed that video too.

    Hello John!
Thank you for sharing your journey (of 600 articles) by writing this article and taking us back to the good old days of HubPages. You have beautifully summed it up in your well crafted poem. I can relate and feel the same.
HOTD, the Q-A sections, the comments section, the ratings options etc. are some of the features, which I miss the most. So many good writers have left, due to these changes.
Yes, things are not as good as we have seen before, but we are still sticking around. It’s the community and the love for writing, which binds us together. I wish you all the best to keep doing great work.
    Thank you and good day.
    Thank you Raviji.

Hello Chitrangada. Some of us are very stubborn, or determined, and keep sticking around. I like to be optimistic and hope that everything will improve in time. At least HubPages is still around, while many other similar sites aren’t.
I do miss a lot of the old features though…things used to be more fun here.
I am glad others like you are still here as well. Have a great week.

CONGRATS John. Hoping that HP will improve for your sake, and the sake of other excellent writers like you. You deserve the accolades, and more tangible rewards. You are one of the essential staples on here. Best to you going forward!

Thank you MsDora. You fall in the category of excellent writers here at HubPages as well. But, yes, let’s hope things do improve in the future so we can keep on keeping on. Blessings to you.
