Rejected by Adsense

   After writing 9 hubs and getting more than 200 visitors I decided to apply for adsense. FAIL!
   
   "Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.
   
   We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as for our advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to decline any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content."
   
   So there goes my pocket money. Hahaha. Forget Adsense? What next?

      I'm not sure on what appens after you get declined but here is how I got accepted to AdSense with no fuss. Before I tried my hand at writing hubs I thought I would give blogging a shot. As any new blogger I chose to find a free host etc etc i.e google blogspot. THen with 1 post on this blog and no traffic the site asks if you want to monetise your blog. Yes. Google Adsense confirmed a day or two later. I then use this same code on HubPages. However, as I have just joined hubpages I am not sure if you don't start making money from adsense for a couple of weeks and thats why it appears that I have no money, or people aren't clicking my ads, or I did something wrong (but i don't think so).
      
      Anyway hope this helped.

      It looks to me like you may have already created Google Adsense Accounts with two other email addresses.  They do enforce a strict one account per person policy.

         Thanks Paul for digging this out, appreciate it. Yes I remember now that I did apply for adsense years and years ago. And through the years, I have changed email and forgotten about having applied for adsense. Inever did know whether I was accepted or not.
         
         So how can I rectify that? Write to them?

   I guess you must be from India,China or phils.If this is the case then you need to wait for 6 months before google approves you.I am also waiting for that.In the mean time you can try other affiliate programmes!!

      You mean to say that if a hubber comes from any of these countries you mentioned, the adsense will be rejected?
      
      I come from the Philippines and my adsense was approved within a week.I never thought that it could be that short span of time to be approved comparing to some hubbers here who waited for months for the adsense application approval.

   John, yes I did follow it precisely. The reason given is not precise or helpful at all. Should I appeal?

      No, don't appeal.
      
      200 visitors is nothing.
      
      Though it won't be about your traffic anyway. It'll be about the quality of your articles. And you need a track record.
      
      Do you have the patient and perseverance to publish one quality article per week for the next 6 months? Because then you'll be in a better position to apply.

         You mean I can reapply in six months time and they don't have a reject file/code kept and will reject all future applications from me from my current hub account?

   I applied for AdSense after only a few weeks here. I had two hubs and they were getting good traffic. It was taking forever for google to reply and someone suggested (Ryan) that I should sign up for blogger as it is run by google. I did this and tried to put in a sneaky attempt at applying again hoping it would give them a shove. It worked and I was accepted the next day. Hope this helps. Anyone wanting AdSense should try this as it has a good success rate.

   I applied for adsense as soon as I had my first hub up, adding a blogger account seemed to help.
   
   As they said though, 6 month wait for some. It seems to apply to him.

   I make much ore than 1 cent a day. In fact my only income is AdSense, as I choose not to have other afilliates. I spent many days reading everything I could on SEO and keywords and all my hubs are optimized. It makes a big difference.

      Some of your hubs on seo and keywords show the research you have done! It is no surprise to me that you get more then 1 cent a day . Anyone looking to make that big difference to adsense earnings ought to go check out your hubs! You go girl!

   In my early days here, adsense approved mine within a couple of days, and i wrote only 2 hubs (which wasn't that great, looking back now). Seems it's getting tougher now.

       Thing is Mine was approved straight away, the first time I came on here, and then for n reason, they decided I was a Risk to their advertisers and disabled the account... I had $67.00 in it at that time. Obviously they didn't believe my page views or something. They have a complaint procedure, but I only know of one person that has managed to have a disabled adsense account reinstated. I did'nt bother.
       Look at the other ways to make money adsense is really not worth the effort. I have made more through e bay.

    I had a blogger account too when I first applied and had no problems. I'm not sure what the criteria is for getting accepted now though.
    Keep writing I'd say, quality articles and apply again....

       Thanks Dorsi for the encouragement. I am not here to earn a living but it is good to get some dosh for the effort though. I am certainly pressing on as I do enjoy writing.

    I say you decide on whether it is more important to be a salesman or to actually be a writer.  Writers get paid to write not to push products as a lot of people do here. 
    If you are a writer you can find places that will pay you for your actual writing and not for your ability to sell product.  Sure, money is something we all need but I think here you have to decide where to put your priorities.
    If you care more about the writing don't even bother leaving this thread going.  If you care about money listen to some of the advice a few of the advertising people have already given you.  Funny thing is, I have not personally seen a lot of successful moneymakers who can manage to dazzle me with their writing. 
    Use this place for enjoyment, expression and experimentation.  Don't stress your scores either.
    I was on my way to hitting 90 then suddenly someone reported me/flagged me to the tune of 13 hubs and I lost 15 points. I just told myself: hey, YOU get paid cash for your actual writing why stress anything in hubpages?
    have fun and enjoy yourself!

       I agree, for the time being I intend to enjoy myself and write for fun. I will forget about adsense for now. I intend to get paid by writing, but a sream of advertising income is nice too.
       
       How did you get flag and lose points?

    Well, as far as I can tell, I was fine until I went into a forum or two and/or made some comments on other peoples hubs.  Once i did that, suddenly within the period of one business day I had 13 hubs flagged and off the air for various amounts of time.
    In fact, two or three hubs for not restored until some time the following day.  I was reported/flagged for stupid things in some cases such as being overly-promotional . . .which was funny because I never have more than 2 links per site on any hub and some hubs have no links.
    I was also flagged because essentially you could see nipples in some of my pics or people having sex in silhouette,etc.  I understand the whole adult content thing but most of the hubs flagged had been up for almost 5 months. 
    So obviously, someone did not like what I said and turned me in to Maddie who did what she felt she had to do.  Much to her credit, she often told me just what to censor and put my hubs back up as quickly as she could.
    Another writer had a hub flagged and pulled 9from what she can tell) simply because I commented on it.  That hub was also promptly restored.  I try to avoid showing nipples in my pics now but otherwise, I don't do anything differently. 
    The other factor I just noticed was I was doing a hub every couple of days and at the point where my score hit 65 it had been almost 2 weeks since I had posted a hub.  SO all in all, the day before everything started my score was 84 and up until I posted a new hub the score had dropped down to 66. 
    Now I bet you're sorry you asked.
    Yes, money is always good but if you don't care about it and don't count on it you'll be much happier!
