A lot of people have a lot of ideas of what prayer is, and how to pray. Prayer, like any other communication process, has a proper way to go about it for maximum effect and positive result.

Praying is just like talking to a stop sign. According to the bible and Christian doctrine Gawd knows your every need and will supply them according to his riches in glory. So when people pray they are begging Gawd to change his mind as far as their destiny is concern whether good or bad. Christians really don’t trust gawd and his decision making.
Life is 50 – 50 so when things work in favor of the individual the credit is given to Gawd. When they don’t it’s given to the make-believe devil.
Believers sometimes do not have enough faith in God, you are right and therein lies the problem.
God said it very clearly if we even have faith the size of a mustard seed (the smallest of all seeds) we can move mountains! Yet we see where this has yet to become a reality. Which shows how little faith we actually have.
But it is not God which has failed, it is us failing God.
And this too, that sometimes our answer comes in ways that differ from our own way of thinking or wanting it to. In other words, sometimes it is Gods Will and not our own that God demonstrates His power to answer our prayer.
This is most evidently seen in healings.
(God sometimes heals by taking the loved one home).
God never fails.
We fail.
Yes it is true that satan comes in to deceive, to destroy. He and his army of demons wreak havoc on this earth and on its people. Sometimes we are attacked whether it be physically, spiritually, financially. This is all true. But if as a believer you put on the full armor of God you can withstand these attacks! You can prevail against them!
Sadly if the case is that you lack all faith and do not know of the armor, God gave us all then you fall victim and prey to those attacks.
What planet are you on? The one I live on half the children do not have enough to eat and praying apparently only works for well fed middle class Americans.

How To Pray A Powerful Prayer That Opens Closed Doors?
by Faith Reaper 11 years ago
I do not know if this is a proper way to address this, but I am making a plea for a call to prayer for all those affected in this most dangerous storm's path (many here on HP, our friends, i.e., Colin a.k.a. Epigramman, Joseph De Cross, a.k.a. Lord De Cross, Mary (tillsontitan) from NYC and many...

Can you really change God's mind? If yes, then what does that say about God? If not, then why do it? And why ask others to pray for you or for someone who is perceived to be in need of prayer? I have asked this question to many religious people because I've never understood the purpose of things...

Does have faith help us to get a cure, while all the healing is going on? Does prayer helps the healing go faster, or more effectively? Is prayer doing something or doing nothing to help us get a cure from the healing process? We doctors are always striving to get a cure, and most of the time, are...

eg the the people that didn't get healed when you prayed for them? Not enough faith? Hidden sin? God doesn't care? Answered prayers are really just luck anyway?
