Yea Habee, I agree I think the system glitches every once in a while. Because a couple of times I'm sure I had already became a follower of a couple of people only to later learn I have not.

I have had that happen to , no worries sometimes people leave and sometimes they drop off in error. I don't know why but it does , there were quite a few times the darn approve button popped out and was dangling in from of me again asking me to accept or deny there comment and there following. I pushed the button to accept again because I did not want them to think I did not want them to be a fan. lololo Don't worry
It's possible your follower got banned, cancelled his account, got suspended for being under age...many reasons

I've been known to "un-fan", but a person needs to work real hard to earn that special privilege.I have only lost fans when they leave hubpages, and would suggest that is the most likely explanation. So far I have lost 2 that way.
