I always taught my patients fruits ith edible skins...looks like you guys were right on way to go!!!
if you buy organic, even better. the skins are saturated with pesticides. but that is where the fiber is, in the skin.

Eat lots and lots of healthy cereal that aren't kids cereals and you'll be fine
They say eating apples before a meal is a great way to get fiber and eat less.
I like to get my fiber through whole grains. I'm a huge Kashi Go Lean cereal lover.
Hi ! Mighty Mom !
Glad to see you.
How you doin' ?
Whole bread is good for fiber.
Mighty Mom got a lot of good fiber too.
hehehe
For high-fiber content, I eat a good share of apples, pears, bananas, and cabbage. For my soluble fiber source, I eat oat bran, rolled oats. For my insoluble fiber source, I prefer rice, whole grain cereals, and bread.
Great thanks so much! I am really getting into veggies and fruits I have been a meat and potato person for a several years and leaning to eat better. Follow me here on hub pages. I am dieting and sharing with all and also posting low fat recipes!

beans. spinach, brown rice, whole grain bread, pineapple, celery, barley, quinoa, nuts
For highest fiber, I would say beans. For my favorite, probably Clif bars.
avocados, surprisingly, are really high in fiber. i just can't get into them though for some reason.
bran cereal of course, tons of fiber.

Like Betty said, bean have the highest amount of fiber per serving, kidney beans if i am not mistaken have the most. Second and often easier to eat are raisins. Sprinkle them on some greek yogurt for a
great breakfast or late night snack.
If people have a hard time eating raw vegetables, then try cereal. Many cereals can have up to 100% of the daily requirement.
I think liver has a high percentage, but who wants to eat that?!
If you get a natural suppliment, either tablet or meal form with linseed meal, oatbran, and psyllium husks in it you will have heaps of fibre. There are some good tasteing ones you can add to a smoothie or on your cereal. Tablets are a good option if you are worried about calorie intake.
I eat a high protein diet so I need to get fiber and protein.
I have either Fiber one or Kashi Go Lean every morning.. Fiber one has like 14 grams and Kashi has 10 grams.. that is A LOT of fiber for one meal. I pretty much can get the rest with a fiber bar for a snack.
do not think that is high in fiber ..lol
I am honored, thanks. lol Which one is it?
why, is it because when you drink too much you have a big splodgy poo by the morning? lol
Spelt...I know it doesn't sound great but it's like whole wheat only sweeter, nuttier, and higher in protein. Also a great resource in manganese and copper.

The foods highest in fiber, containing more than 6 grams per serving, include :
dried beans,
legumes,
dried peas,
dried fruits,

sunflower seeds,
sesame seeds
These foods are excellent sources of fiber.
Juts posted a recipe for Irish Stew, high fibre spuds/potatoes
if you dont like veggie you can try chlorophyl product, it is said that one full spoon of chlorophyl equals 1 kg vegetables..
grain? tea ? bean? hah I really enjoy tea , especially green tea , my favorite.
Bran cereal, oats, whole wheat products(the less refined/processed the better), berries, almost all vegetables.
all green leafy vegetables, celery, carrots, cabbage, lentils
but Some fibers can cause bloating, especially those contained in onions, grapes, beans
It doesn't matter what you "think" they either are or they are not based on whatever definition qualifies for "high".
dietary fiber:
two top are Avocado & Dates.
1 Avocado has approx. 14 grams dietary fiber for a needed 35 grams/day. 6-8 Dates have 12 grams.
Also very high in protein and essential B vitamins plus off the hook amino acids and the three natural sugars. ( I am actually developing a product line using them as we type ) .
James.
Hi, I think the foods which are highest in fiber and the healthiest are pears, apples with the skin, avocados, raspberries, blueberries, broccoli, cabbage, cooked carrots and peas. There are others but these are really high in fiber.
There are many foods high in fiber, such as fruits and vegetables which also provide roughage. Then you have high fiber in pulses, whole grain cereals, rice and pasta.
Added bonuses of eating high fiber foods:
1. It is satisfying so that you feel full for longer.
2. It is slowly digested and keeps blood sugars balanced.
3. Helps weight loss.
4. Keeps bowel movements regular, and
5. It is also a low GI food.
Tip: If you are following a high fiber diet make sure you drink lots of water, at least 6 glasses a day. This aids digestion.

Fibre optic cables and fiber glass are two foods you should not eat as they will make your tummy quicky dicky!
Oatmeal (especially steel cut) is high in fiber and can help reduce blood cholesterol levels. Fruits and vegetables are pretty rich in fiber, too.
veggies. most have no calories and people have not become overweight from simply eating vegetables.
i like oatmeal though.
Most fruits and veges are high in fibre, not the juice tho. Wholemeal bread is a good source of fibre. Also a food I've been eating lately - Chia Seeds! An awesome source of good fats, magnesium and heaps more, aswell as fibre!
high in fiber?
wholegrain cereals(as bran) e.g. wheat, rice, oats, wholemeal bread, breakfast cereals, wholegrain pasta, crisps bread..fruits especially skins of apples plums, vegetables, especially leafy vegetables, celery.potato skins.
Hi All! I thought I would add my bit to the forum by sharing with you all a part of my daily diet containing a mix of chopped raw vegetables that I prepare myself.
I chop the raw vegetables into in a 10 litre air tight container then I store in the fridge - I prepare enough for a whole week which ensures my regular visits
I can say that since I introduced raw vegetables into my daily diet, I have been affected by the benefits: people are telling me how well I look for my 43 years - making remarks about how my skin is glowing. I have lost fat, gained an abundance of energy (20% more), and developed a lean body simply because the raw vegetables fight fat cells and flush out the fat and waste which the body accumulates over time. So don't give your body chance to store bad fats.
For more advice on burning fat see my web site: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-burn-fat-super-fast
You all take care now - you hear!
Paul
I can add one information no one speaking about .
its why foods rich in fiber is good in weight loss?
my reply is :
1-Foods that are high in fiber help you feel full sooner and for longer.
2-Fiber also helps to move fat through our digestive system faster so that less of it is absorbed into the body.
