Where can I find free videos to put in a hub?

Also wondering what the "code" capsule is for.

    Thanks!

Youtube is usually the first place to look for video's.

The code module is for displaying programing code as in a tutorial. You might want to check out my hub on "how to add an Amazon store to a Wordpress theme" to get a view on how I used the code module.

Videos from YouTube, Google Videos, Revver and Metacafe will work in the video capsule.

Code module is to display code, it is so you can display html and the like without hubpages trying to process it.

      Oli, please answer this question:

Does that mean you could insert a widget code from any other site, like ... say, being an expert ezine author, or insert a calory counter, that sort of thing? Or would it just show up as html for someone else to copy onto their website?

No, by shows HTML I mean it displays the actual code, so if you tried to insert a widget it would just show a lot of code gibberish.

It is more for people who make hubs about web programming than anything else.

You can see an example of the Links widget in action on my Backlinks hub.

Right, that's what I figured. So there is a lot of stuff you can do on a website that you can't do on hubpages.

Right.  Hubpages is fairly strictly formatted, and your placement choices are limited.  You just need to be a little more creative with photo sizing and video placement.  The way the text wraps around the photos depends on which of the 3 photo widths you use.  You can use your photo height (anything you like) to your advantage.

The up-side is that it's fairly easy to set up your hub page, compared to designing a web page (from scratch at least).

Yeah hubpages is limited, but this is in my opinion a good thing.

Opening up hubpages to coding would make it vunerable to hackers, allow people to insert spyware and allsorts.

Right now I find that bar Geotargetting my adverts, Hubpages covers all my needs.

Well that's true, Sue, especially using banners and images and all the other stuff affiliates have to offer.

But on the other hand, you can put all that on a website and no one will visit it, unless you work really hard at promotion.  Whereas your Hubs will get buyers with much less work.  So it sort of evens out.

You can find this with the youtube video that you have selected under 'embedded' - check for videos that are NOT disabled.  Disabled videos wont run in the video capsule.

You find a video you like on U Tube. To the right of the clip is a box that says embedded. Just click in that box on the code displayed and it automatically copies it.
Then just paste it into your video capsule.

    Another question -

Can I check the video in my own hubs?  I'd like to make sure they're working.
