I go for a run or a walk in the country.
Go out with my camera for an hour or two.
Buy a bottle of my favourite wine, and drink it watching a favourite film.
      Switch off the computer!

The sound of tinkling ice cubes hitting the glass is usually a wonderful start of the stress relief process. The more stress, the more often the sound. It's a simple plan but it works.

Read, walk, write, clean... it really depends on what is causing the stress.  I find that doing something 'opposite' of the stresser makes a difference.

When you have a stress, its very important to know and feel your body. sOME common symptoms is your shoulder. are you tensing your shoulder without realizing it? how about headache?
    do you have a shallow breathing? how about your neck or lower neck is it raw or a muscle pain when you somebody press it gently? if your answer is yes to all these or even just few of them. then, you have in the verge of having a severe stress that may lead to anxiety. Stress symptoms sometimes will manifest it physically by feeling those aches. Some techniques that i know of that i would like to share;

    1. RELAX - but how? how about sit on a comfortable place and try to loosen all your muscles, starts from head, shoulder hand, fingers torso, legs down to feet make sure you count 1..2.. 3. This is a "LET GO TECHNIQUE"

    2. Focus you mind to something positive something you want to do.
    3. Be one with nature. Feel the goodness of sorrounding.
    4. No one can beat relaxation massage. tub bath also works. make sure put salt to remove toxins form skin.
    5. supplements helps like omega 3 Calm.
    6. BREATHING is very important. breath slowly make sure you breath from you abdomen not from your chest. Some people have hard time doing it and they are the people who have higher rate of severe stress. Do this breathing when you are lying down.

    7. listen to relaxation music.
8 MOST important thing be with the people with a positive atitude or outlook in life.
9.Avoid eating or drinking that can make you hyper eg. coffee..
    10. Avoid having a negative conversation if you are tempted silence is the best defense.
    11. If you are Christian always pray all the time

    hmm cant think ANYTHING ANYMORE

I like to take a hot bubble bath, turn off the lights. Place candles all around the tub and play some nice spa music.

Agree - long, hot bath with lots of bubbles. I like the MOR Marshmallow range, Innoxa's bubble baths (there's candied rose scent - I think it's called something 'Love') and anything from Lush (but especially the Creamy Candy bubble bar).

There are many ways people try to work on to reduse stress.. But they find the stress returning again and again...

I try to analyse the cause of stress then identify if it is due to external factor or some defect in me... Then once i find the cause if lies with me, I try to go thro my personality defects those aggravate my stress and then work on it.
I give auto suggestions to reduce that defect and then re-assess...
Most of the times, I have found we are stressed due to our own defects. Why is it so that another person is able to handle the same situation with ease and I am not ? After analysing I got some of the solutions that I tried out and mentioned above.

I have found this very effective and am sure many of those who are stressed and thus are ruining their lives can be benifited by this workout...

To reduce the stress is not to run away from it .. but to make ourself resistant to fight and not flight..

regards and wish all a stress free life
