Dang. We need to buy stock in our local hospital. Hubby got out of CCU just a couple of weeks ago, my son-in-law had to have an appendectomy last week, and two of my daughters are there now. One has been admitted for pyelonephritis, and the other has been in the ER for seven hours with severe abdominal pain and CONSTANT vomiting. They're waiting for tests to come back on her. On top of all that, I'm having knee surgery on Wednesday. I think they should at least name a wing after us. lol. If you have time, send up a prayer or throw some positive thoughts our way. Thanks!
Tough situation for all of you. (Ask if they have something like 'frequent flyer miles.) Wish all of you the best with positive thoughts. Spring is just around the corner-- hopefully everyone will feel better, soon.
You're not alone habee. Last Oct. I got a new niece, marrying my nephew. The moved to a small town about 50 miles from me and after a long, long labor she gave birth to a little boy yesterday by C-section.
They couldn't stop the bleeding and gave her an emergency hysterectomy, stuffed her with absorbant and life flighted her to the big hospital near me. Today was another surgery to fix the last of the bleeders and they finally sewed her up. She's had 16 pints of blood pumped into her as of this morning! We're hoping she'll be out of ICU tomorrow, into her own room where her new baby has been brought to.
She's not home free yet, but yes, positive thoughts coming your way now that some of the tension is over here.
Wishing you the best, too, Wilderness,,,,, We humans are actually quite fragile, though we tend to deny it. Stay stong for each other.
Thank you, Rochelle. It's been a tough couple of days and I just feel so badly for this beautiful young girl. A hysterectomy at 20 with her first child is not good.
Oh, Wilder...how sad. I'll send up a special request! Makes our problems seem small.
Thanks, habee. It does indeed put writing that next hub into perspective. I'm itching this morning to get to the hospital, but will have to wait until she comes out of ICU.
Sure hoping the news at your end is as good as ours.
Lots of love and light your way also, wilderness. Praying mom and baby soak up all the good health they can, and that all of you get a little peace and serenity now that the worst seems to be over!
Thanks, Motown. No news this morning, which is good and does indicate the worst is over.
I am so sorry to hear this! It is hard enough when you have just one person ill, but you have more than your share. I hope everyone recovers quickly, including yourself. Let us know how everyone is doing and I hope you recover from your surgery quickly. Prayers going up! Hang in there!
Consider prayers sent from my little corner of the earth! Hang in there Habee. Now I have to go and look up pyelonephritis. Something to do with the kidneys I'm thinkin'. Good thoughts to all.
Will be praying for all of you, habee. Stay as positive as you can, and stay connected to each other. Lots of love and light your way!
God bless you and your family habee. I hope everything will be alright. I´ll be praying for you and your family;-) Take care.
Gosh! what a tough time you are having habee..thoughts and prayers and all the wishes for a speedy recovery to you and yours are their the way to from Oz right now!!
I'm so sorry for all that you are going through - my prayers are constant for your daughters and for your up and coming surgery. You have so many hub friends that love you.
Bless your heart(s)! What a lot to deal with. I will pray for you and your family.
Holle,
I am not religious yet defo sending some positive vibes to you and your family. Can I make a suggestion? Have one helleva banquet and get together with your family (like a Thanksgiving type) at your house post hospital visit just simply to celebrate life and show that with the school of hard knocks, you still can celebrate life and positively.
Families and get togethers seem to just help with being positive and celebrating major events.
hi habee,
i am so sorry for the pain that you and you daughters are receiving. i wish nothing but the
best for you and your daughters. get well soon for your daughters and for your knee surgery to
be successful. best of wishes.
Sending positive thoughts, prayers and lots of aloha your way.
Aloha,
Stephanie
Just have faith in God and will be fine. Will keep all of you in my prayers. God Bless you and your family.
This is really bad news, and it just seems that bad luck comes in bunches. No one likes being in the hospital and I hope all of your loved ones get better and out soon. I'll say a prayer for them, and I'm sure everything will turn out fine with faith in God.
So sorry to hear all of this, Holle. Let us pray that everyone returns to good health and that you all got it over with all at once, so you can move on with life!
My thoughts are with you and your family, Habee. I think I would be a complete wreck if I was going through even half of what you are experiencing. Take care-- and take care of yourself during these trying times.
David
I'm very sorry to hear that and I want to send much positivity your way. It sounds like a very tough time for you - hope that you all improve. Best wishes from the UK.
Gosh - Holle - it wasn't thar long ago your little granddaughter was so ill, if I'm not mistaken? So sorry you're all going through this - and you are in my prayers. If they won't name the wing after you, see if you can get group discounts?
Hugs to you, Dear Friend!
Best wishes and prayers for all who are sufferring with ill health and their families. Also praying for the medical services who are there for us when we need them.
That's awful, habee! I hope an end to this family medical drama comes very soon!! Our hearts go out to everyone in your family. May they all have a VERY HEALTHY remainder of the year!
Habee,
Keep strong, .....just breathe....
Prayers and many healing Angels are being sent to you and your family. And, keeping your sense of humor is a Good thing...speaking from experience...it seems stuff always seems to multiply. But finding something to laugh about does help so much. ps
Prayers on the way for all suffering health problems in their families -- been there many times and it's a rough, rough road.
Hi Holle,
I wish you and your family all the best. So does Jasmine. She ask me to send her best wishes, too.
Dear habee - stay strong yourself. Your family is in my prayers. You are loved.
Good luck on your knee surgery on Wednesday, habee. I hope everything goes well. My prayers and best wishes to you and your family.
They found out what was wrong with my youngest daughter - acute appendicitis. She's still in surgery.
Oh, I hope it goes smoothly, and that she recovers easily. At least they found the problem. Someone in my church had an emergency appendectomy about two weeks ago - he was doing well (a bit weak & tender) less than a week later. Still sending prayers!
Should come out of it well then habee. Here's hoping for the best!
She's out of recovery and in a room now. She and her sister are sharing a room! Poor nurses!
That is amazing - (sharing a room!). Hey - I have been in the hospital only a few times, but I can attest first-hand that not everyone is a good roommate. At least they know who they're dealing with!
Good! Mine is out of ICU, too, and nursing her son when I was there - it's a good day.
Habee - I just remembered your son-in-law had an appendectomy a week or so ago (according to your original post). Same daughter?
Are they running a special on removing appendix? You are setting some sort of record!
This fall and winter has been harsh on most everyone. Praying the surgery tomorrow goes flawlessly. and everyone get healthy soon.
So sorry for all you're going through! Sending up prayers for you and your family right now. Just keep thinking "Better things to come."
Hi Habee,
Many a times we have to face difficulties from all the sides. Its the same situation for you now. I believe that God is testing us. He wants to know that how much we trust Him, and what is our patience level.
So have patience and trust the Supreme Being. He will never do any bad to us
Isn't that a contradiction? If your Supreme Being is putting people into the hospital because He's "testing us" that IS pretty bad. What kind of loving entity would do such things?
I hope you are all better now and that all of you will recover soonest!

In what is absolutely the LAST thing I and what family I have left need to hear at this point in time - my father is back in the hospital with sepsis. He's been fighting an infection in the bones of his foot for ten years now, he is severely diabetic...and they're finally going to amputate his...

Earlier this evening, my daughter went to the ER because she was having terrible stomach cramps. When I arrived, she was in a hospital bed holding a dead baby. It was a perfectly formed, beautiful baby girl, about 10 inches long. I didn't even know she was pregnant. We're all heartbroken. I can't...

As most of you know Lynnechandler is my mama .. Well we recently found out that she has been near stroking out of this world. I am not going into detail about all of it but let's just say she was misdiagnosed and it nearly killed her. She finally went to the doctor about it and now they are on the...

I wasn't sure where to make this post. I thought maybe I should just pop it under the food thread but it seemed cowardly. I considered posting it under the health section, but that felt like admitting defeat. I thought of posting this in the christian living forum, but was too certain it would...
