      Perhaps you have expressed the sentiments of many people around the World, through your well crafted and thoughtful poem.
      As if the Pandemic was not enough, that people had to face this senseless war. No one gains anything from war, and that’s certain.

      Like Chitrangada, I also think you have expressed the sentiments of many people in the world through your wonderful poem. I wonder why there can't be peace in the world. I hate wars of any kind.

   This is a wonderful article & poem.
   
   We have all been through too much lately & my heart pours out to those innocent people & children.
   
   The last thing we need is a War.
   
   I wish we could all unite together in peace.
   
   Bombing a children's hospital is the worst thing anyone could do...but that's one event I heard about happening.
   
   I pray this ends soon & takes Covid-19 along with it.

      You said it all, Brenda. The last thing the world needs is war, on top of COVID and everything else. Bombing innocent civilians, especially children, is an atrocity. We must all ‘fight’ for peace.

   John's poem contains some important messages. The suffering in Ukraine is terrible, and as John says the deception of many of the Russian people is very sad. I admire those Russians who are protesting, despite the potential consequences. Thank you for sharing the article, Misbah.

   I agree wholeheartedly with what John wrote.  This war is horrendous and totally needless.  With the fighting spirit of the people from Ukraine, Russia may win some battles, but will never prevail.  Why oh why cannot we all live in peace?  Thanks Misbah for sharing his wise words.

      I can’t begin to describe the despair I have over this needless war, Peggy. This poem was the best I could do and only touches the surface. You are right, “Russia will never prevail”….at least in the eyes of the rest of the world. Thank you or your comment.

         A Beautiful poem echoing the sentiments of all people around the world. Yes why can't we live in peace enjoying the treasures the creator has gifted us with, under one sun. I don't understand why anyone has to hanker for more and more at the cost of innocent lives. Wars are destructive and unnecessary. When will they understand. Thanks for the timely poem John and thanks Misbah for sharing.
