This article by Pamela describes the hot and humid days of summer in Florida and how she enjoys the flowers blooming and birds chirping all the same. Here is the link to her article:

Pamela, I enjoyed reading your lovely hub. I absolutely loved the poem and the way you appreciated the beauty of flowers, chirping birds, and butterflies. Nature is mindblowing. How marvelous it is that God has filled summer with such vibrant and beautiful colors that they make us forget about the heat of the sun. He certainly knows how to balance. What if all we had in the summer was a hot sun and no exciting colors and beauty? How dry would that be? smile

    Thank you for sharing, Rosina.

    Take care and keep smiling.
Blessings and love to both of you!!

We are experiencing hot days where I live, but thankfully the temperatures haven’t hit the mid nineties. Pamela has shared interesting information about Florida in her article. The article and the poem were both educational for me. I hope she doesn’t experience any hurricanes.

Nice work on this, Pamela. The term "Dog Days of Summer" is interesting. I had to research it to write a poem on it for my Poems From the Porch series. I enjoyed your poem.

Hi Rosina,  Thanks for highlighting Pamela's poem about the dog days of summer.  It is also hot and humid here in Houston, and this time of year we keep abreast of any tropical storms or hurricanes headed this way.  The Gulf of Mexico us very warm and will help strengthen any storms that end up there.

Like Pamela, we appreciate the birds, butterflies, antics of squirrels, flowers, and more, like the many anole lizards that scurry about in our yard.  They are so cute to watch.
