-I hear of all the problems Obama has, but I haven't heard or seen any of them happening. It seems as if he has all the solutions.
-What has Obama done wrong?
*Warning* This seemingly open ended question will entrap you, as a result of my faux curiosity actually being the initiation of a completely one sided assault on anybody that disagrees with my point. I actually have a 5000 page document listing everything that Obama has not done wrong, sitting here ready for your innocent attempts at joining a civilised debate. I may even bring up distant war history (70 years+) as a response to the slightest bit of criticism of a free health care service or any of my personal opinions. Any mention of guns will see a tirade of anti-American critiscm, implemented mainly by my 12 alter-egos.
-The most important and biggest thing Obama has done wrong is implementing more government control in a free country/market. I would hope this should explain itself.
If I had not already fanned you, I would now.
He won't prosecute nor arrest the bankers involved in the fraud and theft of billions of dollars of taxpayer money as a result of selling mortgage backed securities and collateralized debt obligations.
So that's one thing he's done wrong.
Joke or not, I have a problem with the now 45 czars for starters.
I posted an interesting list of 'rights' on the other thread.
Seemed on right
Ok Ryan ,good luck with that exercise since I beleive trolls are sneaky and multi-task if ya get my drift
He has single handedly changed The United States of Freakin' America from the greatest country in history to a totalitarian Nazi / Communist cess pool open to illegal immigrants who want free healthcare.
Whew! I feel better now.
Don't forget that he was born in Venezuela and is not even American. And he is not fully white. Or so it is said........
No NO...born in Kenya, indoctrinated in Venezuela.
Ron, you know I love you, but illegal aliens can get free healthcare right now. If they are smart enough to get caught, or commit a crime in America, they get free health care for as long as they are in detention. I understand where you are coming from, but doesn't it bother you that criminals get free health care and common folk do not?
Yes, that is a great point, but on the other hand we are all sinners in the eyes of God, and equally deserving of his wrath/mercy and since this is a Christian nation we should think like God does and consider everyone a criminal who deserves prison/healthcare.
You know, now that I think about it... You're right. Gosh, I feel so much better now. I'll be back in a few minutes I am going to get born again. I hope it's easier than the first time!
Good point Davina damn good point!
And its thanks to Bush that illegals can get health care, student sponsorship, employment ( sure its against the law ,but 2 yrs ago ,they were flooding into the US.with employers at the border picking them up....ahaha..Govt looked the other way...then right on election Bush came out saying something about building a new wall...hello???...
Illegal immigrants will NOT get free healthcare. Anyone really paying attention should know that by now. THEY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. Unfortunately in this country neither are the poor, children, anyone dying without insurance, and the list goes on...but hey if you can afford it, F*** them right?
Before you get too worked up, Moonchild, you should know that Ron was being sarcastic. It was sort of an homage to the neocon.
Did you say something about not paying attention?
What planet r u on? The illegals already get free health care. They just have to wander into an emergency room.
Then the problem is with the way Healthcare is managed (inefficently if your giving away healthcare so easily) not with Illegals...
It is a problem for Homeland Security, once again ,inefficent
But as for employment ,health ,banks , you cannot convince me that its one sided, it takes two to be dishonest!
Some Americans actually support illegals, and they know it is wrong , so the problem is internal not external.
Right on sister. I'm glad someone on this forum is finally talkin' some sense. I have coverage cause I work hard and deserve coverage. Those without it probably pissed off God somehow. Like you say, F*** 'em.
Lucky I got free health care, so god can go jump!
Yes, but it's socialized healthcare! Don't you feel the least bit guilty about letting someone else pay for your healthcare? Don't you know that socialized medicine equals Nazi deathcamps?
Ron's forum posts - Fair and Balanced
Yes I do, but it doesn't effect me, so I don't care if a few more million get wiped out. That's just the price others pay! I like your balanced view of the world!
LOL I completely support this. But of course you realize, don't you, that somebody here is Hitler. Maybe it's me. Last time I checked, I believe it was. Then I got confused and when interviewed, didn't know what to say...
Hey, that's free speech in America!
Lita you do not have the facial hair! It must be me or Eric.
You do not have the right kind of jaunty mustache. It must be Eric, then.
I can trim if I get the job. Eric may have too many heads!
OK, but we need Ron's opinion on the matter. This is a serious job, you know. One step down from the 666 anti-christ, after all.
I don't know. But he has gotten recent press for being an artist, and Ron's cupcakes are all about preventive health care, so! It, like, so totally follows. It's completely Ron's decision therefore...he and Barney Franks'.
Sorry to disappoint you both but the winner of the I wanna be Hitler contest is.........................................................................
I believe everyone deserves health care Ron and nobody should be treated better then someone else, they are all equal when they come into our ER. They are all human and they are all people. What happens if you no longer have health care , you became unemployed etc. how would you feel then? I am a nurse, my husband is dying and he cannot work, our benefits are o.k. but I am now the breadwinner in our household and a portion of my check goes to healthcare we used to be a two-family income would you like to pay the bills that my healthcare is not paying? Healthcare should be for everyone not just the people who can afford it, everyone deserves to be taken care of.
Ron, I apologize if I came off harsh and you my friend are a great writer I did not mean to take anything out on you please forgive me.
Me and Davinagirl just got reborned. We feel soooo much closer to God and now look down on the rest of you heathens, don't we DG?
So here's the latest affront by that un-American, socialist Nazi Obama: I just read in the news today that he's now going after the CREDIT CARD COMPANIES! It's true. He is putting in limitations on what they can "offer" to their cardholders (the nerve!). Such restraints are a blatant attempt to control the last, great free-market industry (except of course the insurance and oil & gas industries). If credit card companies have to live by Obama's rules, how are they expected to make a profit? What is this country coming to???
I worry for the CEOs of these credit card companies. How will they feed their children? As soon as I can pay my rent I will send them a fruit basket, or something, but as for now I will just pray for them 5 hours a day.
Oh dear, who will the wealthy be able to look down upon when home repossessions are no longer the norm? I really do sympathise with their predicament.
They profit off keeping irresponsible citizens in debt.
The people have demonstrated time and time again that they are dumb sheep who couldn't make rational decisions if they tried.
The recession is what follows from letting people go ahead and loan whatever they want.
The American people are begging to have caretakers put rules in place to protect them from their own stupidity.
This is reality.
Good question. Who WILL the wealthy be able to look down upon?
I think they will always look down upon the rest of us suckers. It's really about who will the former middle class have to look down upon, once they (we) are at the bottom of the heap in the same pile with the already poor and we watch as the illegal immigrants (aka "aliens") gobble up all the jobs that we got fired from. Oh yes, don't think we don't see that. Those Mexicans are coming for all the jobs we white people should be doing!
DG -- May I suggest you cut your prayer time to only 3 hours a day and spend the rest of your time SHOPPING (using your credit cards, natch). I believe that is the most direct way to help those poor, poor credit card CEOs and their families! MM
Oh, Hey Jiberish! Very clever idea!
Ryankett -- As an outside, objective observer, would you classify the actions of the Americans you see here on this Forum thread as
a) uber patriotic
b) uber idiotic
This is obviously a use of the word "objective" that I wasn't previously familar with.
I quite liked the term 'Alien', so can I be an 'Alien' instead of simply an 'Outsider'?
As an Alien, I see many Americans as b) uber idiotic, which deep down they acknowledge whilst attempting to pass this off externally as a) uber patriotic.
I would say that being uber patriotic is not a bad thing, but a true patriot would wish nothing but goodwill for his fellow patriots, even if this is advocating the basic human right for urgent healthcare should they be in pain or distress.
I happen to love Americans, so that judgements relates only those those to which you refer.
I hope that I have got my terminology right there, I was saying that they are huge idiots, but like to pass this off as being very patriotic. Just to clarify!
Watching reruns of Dynasty is probably not the most effective way to build an impression of America.
Dynasty is a great show. It showed how America should be. We should all look up to them because they are rich. They are obviously doing something right. It doesn't matter how you behave when you are rich. You shouldn't be held to higher standards either. The middle class should pay more taxes, because they are not trying hard enough to be rich. Dynasty is not a representation of America, but it should be. Praise the Lord!
Everybody should pay some taxes. The poor should pay some income tax for the privelege of living in America. Not much, just a little. Like a doctor visit co-pay.
Most definitely, we should be taxing the poorest at 90% as punishment for their lack of innovation and enterprise. We can tax those trust fund babies at 10%, somebody in their distance bloodline has shown that true enterprising capitalist spirit.... so they must have the same genes!
Of course, England has *no* royal family or any societal structure that rewards bloodlines. The don't have ancestral titles like Prince, Duke, King, Queen...
Now that's the American spirit. Let's get baptised together!
While we are at it, lets give university scholarships to the stinking rich and charge more to the poor. If they want to join our little club, they better break their backs trying to pay for it! The smelly little cretins!
Then after they have completed their educations, that their wives worked nights to pay for, let us pray that they leave their wives for a more suitable upperclass wife. That way they can have really deserving children. Hallelujah!
Let's give government scholarships to people because they look different than us!
I win again
Immigrant nation , hey were all in
Actually I lost , just gotta bill for $800 an emergency June visit....hell I better start whistling dixie huh, or can I send it to you Nicomp an Ron.. now if Id been Cuban , it would have been free.
You guy dont even trade with Cuba !
Isn't your health worth $800? Guess not. At least not $800 of your money.
Don't delude yourself; in Cuba you'd have been dead unless you're a tourist.
"Whistling Dixie"? You are the winner, because that is the best line I have heard all day. I am really lol.
No Way! We should only give scholarships to people who look the SAME as us! Nobody wants different looking people around. Homogenous... That's what us Americans like. If I had my way, only brunette women would attend my college... Oh yeah, I didn't go to college. Praise God!
Burn the bra ( please no )
Burn credit cards ( )..
So God ,this what freedom means! yaayyyyy...Banks get yer greedy chubby hands of my wallet.
If that dictator, Obama, can put government regulations on the Credit Card companies, what's next? Pretty soon there will be regulations (laws) for us common folk to follow. I mean, we may have to start following speed limits, or get our cars insured, by law.... Oh wait!
ShamWow-- perfect! What better product to wipe up the entire mess this country's in!!!
Burn bras -- Too scary, Eaglekiwi. My state (CA) is already awash in brushfires (always happens this dry time of year). All they need is my DDs to fuel the flames. LOL!
Gotta go SHOPPING (for reals) with my mother-in-law. Will be thinking of all of you and new ways to help the credit card CEOs. We may need to create a movement with a clever name:-). MM
Did I just see something? I think it may have been a troll, nah... couldn't have been...
Is Becks a beer or a cult following?
Seriously I only get 4 tv channels , cant afford cable ( actually dont want it yet)...but Ron quoted Becks?
(I know its a beer back home)
It is both a fine German beer AND a right-wing TV nutjob. If you drink a large enough quantity of the former, the latter begins to make sense.
I thought that Becks was a famous English soccer player!
Popping in for just a second - clean from the shower with my paid-for water!
Eaglekiwi -- I believe when people in the Politics Forum refer to Beck they mean GLENN BECK the Fox News "commentator" (I use the term loosely).
For our participating ALIENS who may not be familiar with the American "liberal media" Fox is the aptly named network because they are truly, truly clever over there. If I could choose only 1 news source (besided Rush Limbaugh, of course) I would choose Fox.
Rush rocks. No one can unseat him. He took on the entire Air America network and they went bankrupt trying to oust him.
The real shame is that so many people just can't differentiate his entertainment from his information. They need a "laugh" light on their radio.
Ohhhhh thankyou MM Supergirl that you are!!
We used to get Fox until the changover thing, bought a new TV and dammit ,still couldnt get it...( I missed Seinfled) wahhhh
But ahhh ok Becks is the hero huh ,wouldnt mind his income , lucky man..bet hes got good insurance too.
Are you republicans pissy cuz ya gotta more taxees now or what?
something or someone has definately tinkled in your cornflakes?
Hallelujah, Sister! If it wasn't for Rush, how would we know who to be mad at? And if it wasn't for Fox News, how would we know what to yell at town hall meetings? We might have to think and deduce things for ourselves... Who wants to do that?
Glenn Beck is a "Reagan Zombie!" http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/24/opini … ef=opinion
LOL, Nicomp. No one can unseat Rush because he weighs about 400 lbs! And it's all body -- no brain! MM
Absolutely, humor is a great way to get information across. The concern I have (and I believe many people share with me) is that too many viewers/listeners don't recognize it as humor and think it's gospel truth!
The only gospel truth-teller-humorists on TV are Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert:--).
The difference between Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck is that Jon Stewart is a COMIC. He is not a journalist. He pretends to be a journalist, but will reiterate that he is just a COMIC poking fun at news shows. Colbert and Stewart are on Comedy Central, for Christ's sake. I don't know what Glenn Beck is. I try to be objective and watch him, but he lost me when he said that the 9/11 families got on his nerves.
No, they are not making fun of the NEWS, they are making fun of the government and all the mistakes they make and when they are caught being hypocritical and stupid. It's an easy job.
I was very sad today to find out that my hair dresser is dying of Melanoma, and cannot get proper care because he doesn't have health insurance. I disagree with this new Health Plan, but I agree with maybe making affordable insurance available to those who need it.
Thats very hypocritical.
Insurance corporations are exactly that, they are corporations. They pay the medical bills from their income.
By offering cheap insurance they will be taking less revenue, but paying more in medical bills. The way that they will make this money back is to put extra money onto the premiums of its other customers.
That is effectively exactly the same principle as a national health service, except that the government would charge you less money than the insurance companies for this priviledge.... one has to make profits to pay a dividend to its shareholders
(and for its fat cat bonuses) and the other is a not for profit organisation.
In fact, that is a pretty ludicrious bit of logic there.
Thus would the gov. plan put most private insurers out of business and become an ever bigger draw on gov resources (ie tax $) over time.
Why is it hypocritical to ask for a revision not a total overhaul of the system? We're told that this plan is to insure the un-insured, and while the insurance companies are in it for the money, like all businesses are, provisons should be made for pre exsisting conditions.
The Ideal Thread / Question should be "What doesnt emperor Obama control?"
To me the biggest thing Obama has done wrong was when he signed the documents to close Guantanamo Bay without knowing all the facts.
Yes, because of the insurance companies and all the other big businesses being able to do what they want after the deregulation during the Reagan years and beyond, America is the land of plenty! The streets are paved with gold and everyone is happy and rich and they all have enough food to eat, $20+ an hour jobs, their own homes and proper health care for those willing to pay for it...
But...oh oh...if you get sick and can't afford it well...we can't help you, you are screwed. You should have saved money for that eventuality. You say you got hit by a bus?...well, it was stupid of you to leave your house. I shouldn't have to pay for your stupidity...this is a dog eat dog world and caring about your fellow man is stupid.
It's sad if this is the kind of country you want to live in. I'm glad I live elsewhere.

Can the United States afford to have free health care for all? Why or why not?
by Poppa Blues 11 years ago
Under Obama's health care plan every American would be REQUIRED to buy health insurance, essentially you are being forced to trade your labor for something you may not need or want.At what other time in history were Americans given the benefits of food, shelter, clothing, and health care in...

With forum posts about the good and bad, mostly bad of Obama, Obama voters are constantly harassed by the question, "Are you sorry you voted for Obama." Honestly, no I am not. Look at our choices during the last presidential campaign. As I've stated before, giving what...
