I come from mostly a mix of liberals and conservatives in my family. And literally every single liberal voter in my family believes that Donald Trump staged his own assassination attempts. I told them that I doubt they were staged considering during the first attempt, I believe it was confirmed that the bullet barely grazed Trump's ear. If that's the case, then if he had turned his head ever slightly the other way, that bullet would've gone through his skull, and we'd be having entirely different conversation right now. Therefore, I doubt seriously Trump would be that stupid to stage an assassination on himself, with live bullets and not blanks, where he could've been killed legitimately. My family members who believe this laughed asking me if I'm sure, as they believe Trump is that stupid and insane enough to do something like that. Either way, it has come to my attention that Trump was almost assassinated again earlier this week for the second time this year. My goodness.
Look, I'm not a Trump supporter, as I hate both candidates personally, but I need to ask. Do you guys think Donald Trump is that crazy and/or stupid enough to stage his own assassination attempts on himself for a attention? Or what?
In my view, no, I don’t believe Trump planned to be shot at. He is arguably the most hated man in the U.S. right now, largely due to relentless propaganda from Washington, the media, and social media. He’s been subjected to an intense and vile storm of attacks. Those who have tried to bring him down have repeatedly failed, but the rhetoric has not faltered. As a result, we now see a former president becoming a target due to extreme and unhinged rhetoric. It’s disheartening to witness this in America, but I’m grateful for a man who remains steadfast and unyielding despite the onslaught.
Hardly. A husband & father died that day (during the 1st attempt on Trump's life) two others came very close to death!
This is one of the craziest things I have heard yet. But it is par for the course in the never-ending Saga to end Trump or, at the very least, discredit him....
Why do you dislike Kamala? I am not fond of her nor her policies. I contend that Kamala doesn't care about people but is using them for her own ends. She is just playing a game & the voters are the pawns in her game. Don't you agree? Kamala is just a politician & intends to use the presidency to further her prestige, nothing more nothing less.
I agree and cannot figure out why anyone would hate her. Dislike, of course, but she is just another sad hollow politician willing to use fake accents, steal positions she does not believe in, and hurt anyone that comes in her way to further her political career.
That is the name of the game. After all, politics is just a game of chess. The one who can out-maneuver & is the most cunning, wins hands down. Harris is just playing the age old political game. The average politician doesn't care about his/her constituents. Politics is merely a means to a gilded end. People enter politics to become rich & famous. Politics is seen as being a celebrity-that's all. The constituents are merely pawns. It is sad that people view politicians as their parents/saviors so to speak.
I don't think it was faked. But, who is pulling whose strings I question with the would be assassins using my conspiratorial mind. What better way to start a civil war, right? Can you imagine the unrest if it occurred? Wouldn't all hell break out? Then, who would that serve the most and why? Just playing around . . .
In my view, no, I also don't believe Trump planned to be shot at. He is arguably the most controversial man in the US right now, largely due to his own toxic and violent rhetoric and relentless propaganda posts. He attacks anyone who disagrees with him, even going after their family members and has inspired multiple attacks on our country.
The people that are turning to the violence are either former voters of his or those from Republican families that now see him as a danger to the country due to the domestic terror he inspires. With the latest example being the fabricated-attention he has drawn to Springfield, Ohio. Even after multiple bomb threats were made against schools, he continues to amplify those falsehoods. Not even a threat to children will cause him to desist spreading his lies. Let that sink in for a second before casting your vote this November.
I also doubt those assassination attempts. I can't believe any politics. They are getting nastier day-by-day.
Totally concur with you, Vent. Politics, especially American politics, has been a gladiator spectacle.
When people actually die, there is little room for doubt.
Agreed. There is no way that the assassination attempts against President Trump could have been staged. Thomas Matthew Crooks may have had a screw loose, but I seriously doubt that he would have volunteered to let himself get shot dead after making an attempt on President Trump's life.
I agree with all of you that it wasn't staged, but my family that's voting against Trump think he's staging these assassination attempts to gain sympathy votes from swing voters. I'm not even joking, as that's what they believe. I told them even if that was the case, it was confirmed live bullets were used during these assassination attempts if I'm not mistaken. And if that's the case, I doubt seriously Trump would arrange to be shot at with live bullets knowing he can legit be killed just to gain a few sympathy votes.
Probably. They also believe that this country will go into a Civil War if Trump is elected again. I just tell them that I doubt that too because it's nearly impossible to predict something like that unless you have some sort of inside information that most people aren't aware of. I did tell them that if Trump is assassinated, then it's likely to happen considering a lot of people were mad when Trump lost the last election. I'm not saying anything bad will happen again like it did on January 6, a few years ago. But, I can definitely imagine a similar situation happening if Trump is made into a martyr, which is why I agree with Biden that the best way to beat Trump is through the polls. Not through violence.
Those who want him dead (literally) are in the Middle East, (and Ukraine?) Both shooters had ties to foreign influences. I heard there was a photo from BlackRock showing both of them in it.
DJT will bring an end to their profiteering wars. They do not want to see their sources of revenue ended. Of course, they want Kamala elected. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
