In your assessment, will the newly elected president, either Harris or Trump, benefit or harm America?  To those who voted for Harris, do you believe that Harris will bring America forward in terms of equity & full human rights?   Do you further contend that if Harris wins the election, it will be a new day for America or will there be a further chasm in America?

To those who voted for Trump, do you believe that Trump will make America stronger in terms of socioeconomics, law & order, & general strength in world politics?  If Trump wins, do you contend that America is on the right path & that order will somehow be restored?  Will Trump bring America together? Your thoughts

      Great thread!

Absolutely, I believe Trump has the ability to bring strength back to America across all these areas. During his first term, we saw gains in the economy with lower unemployment rates, especially for Black and Hispanic communities, and an emphasis on supporting American businesses. Trump's law-and-order stance was clear, and he wasn't afraid to stand up to those who threatened our cities or communities, which made people feel more secure. I truly felt safe, and that the Nation was on the right track.

On the world stage, he showed a powerful, straightforward approach—he wasn't hesitant to defend our interests or make deals that benefited Americans, and he held our allies and rivals accountable. I think that approach is what we need to regain a sense of pride and purpose. I do believe that if he wins, he will do his best to bring people together by focusing on common goals that make us stronger. There's a lot of division now, but I think Trump’s ability to speak directly to Americans—without the politics as usual—gives people confidence in a path toward unity and stability.

For those of you who voted for Trump. Congratulations.
I hope Trump will do the things for you, you wished he would do for you.

        Thank you Peter!
I think I speak for most Trump  supporters when I say, it's more about what he and we, can do for our Country, and not the other way around.

If I recall correctly... it had something to do with racism and sexism...

However, Trump received more votes from Hispanics and women than many thought he would.

That such a maligned person could get so many to vote for him... speaks more to how badly things have gone the last 4 years than anything else IMO.

Be careful, those in power have a couple months left to play with...

They have us on the verge of a war that will be irreversible regardless of Trump being elected, if they so choose to drive it in that direction...

Now that the election is over... perhaps people will realize how far things have been allowed to go... Iran is being bombed... North Koreans are being deployed to the front lines in the war against Ukraine/NATO...

These are probably the most dangerous weeks America has EVER faced... certainly in OUR lifetimes... these corrupt and incompetent individuals that have led us to the precipice of Nuclear War still have a few weeks to do whatever they want... and now they have nothing to lose.

Well the people over at Google aren't taking it well...

They just cut Glen Beck's live feed... when it was in the middle of a speaker noting how if Google was asked yesterday where to go vote for Harris it gave directions and the nearest voting location...

But when asked about where to go to vote for Trump it would only give pro-Harris reports on the election...

Fun stuff... freedom of speech for me, not thee...

Ken, last night showed Google and the media that the majority are done with the BS—propaganda is all but dead. Many news outlets will realizing they gave it their best shot, but it just didn’t work. Sure, some of them might try to hang on, but this election has popped the air out of their plastic pedestals. And at the end of the day, we know what really drives them: money talks, and BS walks. I think we’ll start to see them singing a different tune—it’s all about the Benjamins now.

Actually I think we will see the much needed demise of Legacy Media...

A Media controlled by billionaires that caters to Big Pharma and Big Government.

People are shifting to Joe Rogan Podcasts and X and the Daily Wire and other online sources for information... the distrust for Legacy Media is permanent and Main Stream News will never recover.

Left or Right... doesn't matter... Cable/TV news is dying and the only thing that will be remaining in 10 years will be Local/State News at 6pm, that will survive for a long time to come... but the days of CNN dominating how people get their information are long gone.

Lol Rogan?  The guy who hosted a show based on people eating disgusting bugs and being immersed in tanks of snakes?  The sources you've mentioned are nothing but dumpster fires of disinformation aimed at those who don't know any better.

People listened to their own common sense. They saw open borders, felt the strain on their finances, watched a confused man left in the White House, and witnessed a Congress that isn’t getting anything done. They saw us supporting two new wars, the deaths and destruction those wars bring, and a failing education system for their children. They saw their communities struggling with migrant crime and the burden of supporting so many new arrivals. They saw migrants put ahead of their own needs, fentanyl destroying lives, and a government targeting a political opponent. They saw FEMA failing Americans because funds were diverted to migrants. FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). This program provides grants to local agencies and organizations to help individuals in need, including migrants, with food, shelter, and other emergency services.

Over the last two years, FEMA has spent significant amounts on migrant-related services under the Shelter and Services program. In 2023 and 2024 alone, approximately $941 million was allocated for housing, food, and other essential services for migrants, particularly those released into the U.S. while awaiting immigration proceedings

They watched lie after lie from a candidate who lied openly and frequently. Did not like the idea of paying for someone's home, childcare, healthcare, and so much more --- most are having a hard time paying their bills... Socialism was not attractive. Plus I can assume many did not approve of men in women's johns and sports, and no one took to all the Gender reassignment.

And many saw through the propaganda from media controlled by the FBI and the White House. If the media doesn’t start being honest, they’ll continue to be rejected. Americans also saw a weak candidate who, even this morning, has yet to address the nation. It’s no surprise—she couldn’t speak to the people without a scripted speech, and as a leader, she would have had to hide from We the People.

They all know strength has made its return to the White House. That goes for NATO too. Trump wants peace, and I think he will start working on that issue today.

        Ken,

How did this happen? Americans listened to what he was offering and asked themselves — are we better off than we were over the past four years? No need to look any deeper into this one-- Simple common
        sense took the day.

I’ve always kept my faith in the American people. We’re resilient, and when it comes down to it, we see what’s right in front of us. Our love for freedom and democracy runs deep, and I’m proud to see that most of us want to protect everything we’ve worked so hard to build.

His speech last night was fantastic! I can bet he’s already up this morning, hard at work for We the People. I couldn’t be more pleased and grateful. an American majority have rejected all the wokeness and the craziness. I feel so confident that he’ll tackle the nation’s problems head-on and with urgency. He makes promises—and keeps them. I’m bursting with happiness and so proud of Americans!

This also showed democracy will work if allowed---
The recent abortion rights ballot measures, with wins in seven states and defeats in Florida, Nebraska, and South Dakota, demonstrate the strength of American democracy. Citizens made their voices heard, showing that in our country, people have the power to shape policy directly. These outcomes, reflecting diverse viewpoints across the states, highlight the positive role of democracy in allowing different communities to express their values and make decisions that align with their needs.

Ken, we are now on a different path, one that will keep democracy first.
