Love Letters to Your Sweetheart

Updated on December 28, 2008

Communicate Through Love Letters

Is your spouse your sweetheart? Whatever your answer, you need to communicate regularly through love letters. You might ask why you should write love letters to your spouse when you are living under the same roof. Love letters will do wonders between couples.

There are instances you have been angry with your spouse and or sweetheart for whatever reasons. How often has it been difficult to open up and say in a loving way exactly how you feel at that moment? In such moments it gets difficult to communicate your feeling to your sweetheart in a more loving way.

Love Flowers

Sweetheart

When you write love letters to your sweetheart, express not only your negative feelings but your positive feelings as well. If you can not tell your sweetheart your feelings, then whom can you tell? When you are wronged by your sweetheart and you are unable to express yourself lovingly, then the best thing to do is to write a love letter to your sweetheart.

Love Letters

To relieve yourself negative feelings, write them down. When you write down your negative feeling, they will lessen whilst your positive feelings will increase. This is especially very true in a relationship situation.

Negative Emotions

To communicate with love to your sweetheart, you need not be angry, disappointed or upset. With negative emotions, you lose your loving feelings of trust, caring, acceptance, appreciation, respect and understanding. Stop. Do not start that talking that will turn into fighting.

In such situation where verbal talking can rise up the temperatures, share your feelings with your sweetheart by expressing your feelings in a letter. Writing will allow you to listen to your own feelings without worrying to hurt your sweetheart. You will become more focused and loving.

Writing down your negative feeling will make you become aware of how unloving you may sound and you can then be able to adjust your approach.

Be True To Yourself

To write the love letter when your sweetheart has disappointed you, follow the following order.

  1. Address the letter to your sweetheart.
  2. Include the following feelings in your letter: anger, sadness, fear, regret and finally love.
  3. Be patient and do not stop your letter until you get to love.
  4. Sign your name at the end.

The most releasing expressions are: I am angry, I am sad, I am afraid, I am sorry, I want, and I love.

If you and your sweetheart practice the writing love letters technique you will be able to be true to yourself and learn to communicate anger in a loving way. This will enrich your relationship with your sweetheart and help both of you to be honest with your feelings.
