   We living in times where we over indulge on so many things.... but is it a gluttony is sin?

   If it ever was I would think being surrounded by it would not make that change. I've always thought of gluttony as something akin to addiction. Not merely stuffing your face but overindulging in excess.

   All obsessions are mistakes for sins are misses of the arrow that is aimed badly... 
   
   The aim is bad because guidance an direction is not provided by obsessive regimes intent on using their citizens as its slaves to build its empire of greed so the citizens find solace in their own personal obsessions founded in the likeness of their leadership...

   I don't know, I have more than I need, and I call it being successful.  I'm not sure what the people that have nothing would call it.  I think wasting things so they can be of no use to anyone is gluttony.

   Yes.  It's one of the seven deadly sins.  I learned this in my religion class in college.

    For a person who does believe in sin, traditionally, it has always been considered one of the seven deadly sins.  Addiction, I suppose could be considered gluttony, but at some point an addict loses control of his/her desire and understanding of what their addiction is and is doing to them.  In order for something to truly be considered a sin, the person committing the act must be completely and fully aware that it is sinful.
    
    Gluttony by definition is basically continuing to eat (or consume) after you have enough, and then to continue, and continue, and continue...etc.  Overeating is a very good example.  For example those individuals who get up into the 600lb bracket or more and just continue to eat and eat.

    As "sin" is a Judeo-Christian notion I'd have to say no. But I would call gluttony a very stupid lifestyle choice.

    Not being in control of one's desire can lead to sin but gluttony is not sin. Just like fasting for a day and going to a food convention for 10 hours and every possible food you love is in your face.
    
    It just make it easier to break the fast.
    
    Gluttony makes it easier to sin (by not controlling one self) as in taking in way too much.
    
    Nothing is wrong with a little more than enough but when someone wants to lose weight and they are eating 10 slices of pie a day there's a sin of breaking their own word and which will lead to more lying and lying is sinning.
    
    Everything should be done in moderation for things to be right:)

    One of the 7 deadly sins? Maybe, but ask this to the homeless guy or gal who is sat before a buffet and hasn't eaten a decent meal in a week. All things taken into consideration, It depends on circumstances. That is only my opinion, of course....And,,, If there is a God, then he will certainly understand those circumstances if he is indeed a God of love as we are told.
