   Which Jesus Christ do you know?
   
   If Jesus Christ is: The word, Son of Man, Son of God, One with the trinity, Love, Teacher, and Lord.
   Which one are you to know?

   The Jesus Christ I know was a teacher, a healer and a miracle worker.  An ordinary flesh-and-blood human who embodied the Christ spirit beautifully.  He was one of many who have done similar teachings, healings and miracles.  The Jesus I know is the Elder Brother, the one who said 'all these things I do you can do also'.  My prayer is that my life will in some small way also embody that same Christ spirit.

   Eric, I'd say know the one that God the Father sent to save us--that's our Savior.  However, since He saved me, I want Him for My Friend.  In that relationship, He will tell me everything I need to know about Him.  I'd get to know Him in all the titles that you quote.

      Yes indeed MsDora. I like redeemer and intercessor also. My personal advocate. I like to start some prayers with "Hey buddy can you give me some advice here".

   He is ONE.   He is ALL of these.   To know Him is to Know all of who He is or you dont really  know Him..  The way we know Him is through relationship with His Holy Spirit that He sent to teach us all truth and comfort us.   To fully know Him we must be baptized in His Holy Spirit as that, according to scripture is the only way to know all truth.   That is why so many people that profess to be Christians do not properly understand scripture, they do not believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is necessary, as seen in scripture and /or do not believe it is for today. (it is not a part of being born again it comes after that) The disciples belonged to Christ but they did not receive the Holy Spirit until Christ sent it on the day of pentecost, to those in the upper room.     If they had decided to stay home that day they would not have received Him.
   We Christians are a Spiritual people and the natural man cannot understand the things of God without the Holy Spirit within shows us..    Lord,  I pray that all who claim your name will ask for and receive your Holy Spirit as that would eliminate most of the disagreements among them, if all could see truth.     Thank you Jesus for sending me your Holy Spirit.

      Celafoe, always interesting to read your take. Some folks really like the rules, and I can tell that you feel very secure in them. So maybe we add "the rule maker" to our list. I tend to like HIm in that role. Not like police but like a Judge.

      Eric , its not a matter of "rules", the scripture must be used , complete, correctly and in proper context or it has no real value as it is not truth.  and only "the truth shall make you free".     As for Judge that is not me, scripture is the judge

      Sorry Celafoe, I read your comment as laying out the rules that must be followed in order to "know" Christ. As I understood your answer it was through these rules we come to know all that is Christ, and so your answer was "all of these".

   The Jesus I know is all of the above you mentioned but all in one. Jesus is our one and only Redeemer who died and suffered  in order to save us all.

   The Jesus Christ I know is a relationship that only comes by accepting His grace. Grace is the ability by His power to make us holy without spot, stain, or wrinkle. The Jesus I know operates in the hearts of His body by communicating His divine goodness and character by the inworking of the Holy Spirit.
   
   Under the Law, grace was about receiving blessing and favor by doing beneficent acts (works). Today, grace is the unmerited operation of God in the hearts of man through faith. Through the workings of the Holy Spirit, His church receives truth, which is the character of God personified outwardly by giving glory to His name. This will ultimately manifest fully in eternal heavenly blessedness with Him.
   
   Knowing the true Jesus Christ is about knowing that we are a new creation by His workmanship, not by mans. Jesus poured out His benevolence on all mankind, provided a provision of salvation, and secures and sustains those who are in His grace despite our sinful nature. He continually sanctifies His people and gives them the ability and desire to continually grow and mature to become more like Him.
   
   The Jesus Christ I know is an example of being a servant leader whose love was sovereignly bestowed, and when put into action was towards those who merited the opposite. The Jesus I know reaches out to those who humbly acknowledge that they are deficient without Him and are dependent on His grace for salvation.

   All of them....there is no exception. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross, raised from the dead, ascended to heaven and now is seated at the right hand of God! The Rose of Sharon, the Bright and Morning Star, King of kings and Lord of lords, the Cornerstone, the Lamb of God....there are so many names, characteristics, and examples of love....provision, protection, reconciliation, restored, delivered and healed that is associated with the person whose name is Jesus Christ!

      I get your point. But I have to say I do not "know" Jesus the condemner. And I really do not know Him as a king or the Rose of Sharon. Probably just a failing in my education.

   The implication of the question is there are more than one and there is. The attributes of Jesus are many; He is Healer, Teacher, Wonderful Counselor, Provider and on and on and on. Attributes do not define they describe. More than 400 years ago my people were brought here in a ship called Jesus. Slave masters believed they were chosen to have dominion over Africans and everybody else who wasn't white and they evoked Jesus to justify their anointing. This is not the Jesus I serve. The Jesus I serve is the same one who died but Lives; He was against slavery (bondage, whether physical, mental, spiritual or emotional) which is sin. He came to set the captives free and so I AM.

    In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. All things were created through him and without him nothing was created. 
    Best of his timing is perfect. The longer I live the more I am amazed at God's timing.
    Local people went off the mountain on their way home from Tahoe last Sunday.  Their car rolled 45 feet into the river. There was a kayaker up river who helped.  A fire truck with H2O rescue equipment watched the whole thing happen.    The pictures of the car tell that nobody should have lived.  One of the teens was able to get herself and little sister out of the car.  The mom had a concussion.  Dad is on blood thinners and would have bled out if the help hadn't been there. There is a new trauma center down the hill from the accident, dad wouldn't have made it any farther.  They are all making good progress.

    To know is odd for this author and not presupposing any or of. To know is both relative and relational to understanding, of which is personal. The question above asks "Which Jesus ('the') Christ do" (presupposing of self, which this person defines as the social self as subject being 'I' and the object of self being 'me') "you", of which really is a 'self' with a name is asked, "know?"
    
    The answer for that self today is only three of many verses. With faith and offered through grace as a system of belief those three verses can be supplemented by a fourth from the Old Testament too.
    
    1) John 3:16
    2) Galatians 2:20
    3) Hebrews 13:08
    4) Psalms 27:1
    
    This person in this response is happy knowing both through theism and gnosis, today, whom is Jesus 'the' Christ, of which is known through revealing.

    And don't forget three more: The Way, The Truth, and the Life. And he is also the Babe in the manger and the husband who's bride is the Church and the body of which we are a small part, and our elder brother and the first risen from the dead.
    
    I work to be open to all of these facets of the One God Who Is Three in One. In humility, whether we choose one face or many, let us seek to be known and guided, rather than to claim to know.

    To be quite honest with you, there are so many versions of Jesus Christ floating about, everything from the Good Shepherd to the Judge on the last day, that I don't really worry about which of them I know anymore. I just hope that He knows me.

    Thank you for posing this question as I heard someone say recently there are many Jesuses floating around, but which is the right one?
    In addition to all the foregoing that was mentioned, He is the great I AM. When He said this the Pharisees became angry because they knew He was referring to Himself as God, and so He is. My God, My Savior, and soon coming King!

    If you ask me to define Jesus “He is a white man with a strong manliness and spirituality.’
    
    I have been very familiar with Christianity as I live hearing moral stories, pray songs, and church in my school days.  As those days were the perfect days, I love Jesus too in a perfect way.  He is like the color white – no stings, no adulteration.  I have been labeled as an anti-Christ reading Dan Brown books, but the reality is I became a Jesus follower after that.  Apart from the religions side, he is the gem of the person which led a complete side of a man.

       I just assumed he meant it like when Jesus is on that hill with the two dead guys and turned a brilliant white along with his clothes. Certainly not the really really dark guy that came out of the desert.

    I know that Jesus is omnipresent and savior who died for the people and still alive for all his children's. I learn t about him in my school days(Avila Convent) were our days starts by going to the church... Praise The Lord!!
