this is a question I have asked myself as well.
I don't know about the Holy Bible.In hindu philosophy you have the ardhnariswar (shiva is half man and half woman). Shiva is the light or Allah and from him all entities arise ,he is all entities.This is slightly different from gays but basically there is too much of a woman in a man or too much of man in a woman-gays.
There is a community called eunuchs who mainly beg . People are sacred of their curse.The story goes that when Ram was sent into exile he had many following him as he was supposed to be the next king. At the edge of the forest he says- "all woman and men should go back this is my order".
The eunuchs being neither man or woman stayed back for thirteen years till he returned from his exile.
Happy he bestowed the power of the word on them- what they say will come true.
I suppose god is fine with gays as well
I think "latent homosexual" is the term you are looking for

He is not bashing anyoneI found it a genuine question and even I have thought of it very recently.Have this friend who is from South Africa a gay and has a German boyfriend, we talk quite a bit on spirituality.

I haven't gone through his threads but I did not find any offense in this question.
Even gays have god in them, this entire universe is made out of god.I don't think any man can judge god

Morality has nothing to do with god.Some of the most moral people do not follow religion. As for being a homophobe, get over it. All my family have homosexual friends as has yours, even if you don't know it! Who is gonna tell a homophobe that they are homosexual?

Glad to know you are not homophobic, you said it about yourself first, I know understand that you have not been in agreement with all your experiences with homosexuals, and I can relate to that also. I have been called a homophobe by a couple of people too, I wanted to throw some light on that.
As far as morality goes, we understand a lot about children these days that allows us to assist moral and mental development.
Modern parents understand a lot more than they get credit for.
My view of it is that until age 7 a child should be allowed to be narcissistic as this assists in a knowledge of "self" and in this period parents need to respond to the child's feelings with love and real life situations are introduced later that allow discretion of good and bad that is related to the child's own feelings when the results of his behavior affect him.
The many opportunities to display the results of "bad" behavior of the child are carefully selected to reflect back on the child's own feelings.
This work goes on throughout these first seven years while the child's mind is establishing it's individual values.
Siblings and peer interaction teaches the basics to children, but that does not mean they are going to accept it yet. Patience is essential with parenting.
If confidence and self worth are well established in these first seven years, the child will always have good moral values, because empathy has been learned through early contact with the child's own feelings from experiencing the outcome himself.
Children, if left to develop in their own way like this become loving, caring people in the main.
No moral map from any religious tome was be taught to any of my children and grandchildren.
They are able to see the results of their selfishness and adjust accordingly as any human being who is sane can.
The ten commandments come with threats.
I do not teach with threats, I teach with love. I would not let a loony like you anywhere near my children!I don't know where you are from, but this is irrelevant side stepping that you always do when you have no answer. You do not even have enough love to understand how to be with children, no heart.
What would you teach a 3 year old or a 5 year old from the bible that you could not teach from, say, simple transactional learning? And how would you teach it? Children learn in many ways, but not from being told "because I said so, or this book said so."
By the way my twin girls at 3 could learn so fast, but if told to believe anything, they want proof! Most of the contributors here are not that switched on!The religious tomes are a source of so much hate, that people hand pick whatever they hate from these books and project them on to some minority.
All the evil that is "in the world" is really in the world, not in or outside any particular belief.
Humans are inherently afraid of dying, and have a built in fight or flight mechanism, of course no matter how "far out" a religion is it will have followers based on this fear until psychological proof of the roots of the human condition are established and accepted.The thing is, that if the parents are not parenting, how do you reach them? Transactional learning comes down to one small book with a reading age of about 8 years.
It is logical, proves it's outcomes and does not involve faith, just simple application. Would you prefer to teach from something as old as the bible?
There are hundreds of training and teaching systems based on what we know today. Love is the key. Same story, comes about through good socializing skills being developed. What does that answer in this thread?
