What do you think about change? Do we really change or do we just adapt?
We are humans and as we all know that humans are subject to change sooner than later. But do we really change or do we just merely adapt to the situations given to us by the world?
I think it to be both. We are destined for change, so we adapt to those changes. I think many people would be very surprised as to what their bodies and minds can adapt to.
Isn't adapting a part of change? I think we must adapt to certain situations. However, if we have certain beliefs or convictions, we will want and put forth change into becoming the person we want to be.
We adapt. Only one out of nine people successfully change their life. It's a depressing statistic from an article called Making a Change by Alan Deutschman. Because of this low statistic, it seems more realistic that we adapt to the differences, but rarely dramatically change.
Change is a permanent thing regardless of how you see it and also depending on what you exactly want to mean by such word. Obviously we change physically from birth up to this point of our age and this is a natural change. Intellectually or knowledge-wise we also change because we learn something every day whether we are aware of it or not. Emotionally, we also change, it's a personal thing to find out what changes you have in this area. All these personal changes would be the sources of all the changes that could happen to our lives in all areas over time and space of a persons existence. Changes in relationships, jobs or careers, financial changes, change of domicile and everything else depend on the changes that had occurred in the personal level...to adapt is just a perception...change is the universal truth.
What do I *think* about change? Not sure. I know that change is always occuring. And I mean literally. It is the one constant. That goes for humans as well. Adaptation IS change.
I personally think that adaptation is a subset of change.... There is not much of distinction between them...
1. I have adapted to their way of living.. .(which essentially means I have changed)
The only difference is that adaptation may or may not be permanent, whereas change we assume to be permanent...
My few cents..
I had many changes in my life over the years and adapting is more like it, a person changing is not so. It depends on the individual if they want to change. Acceptance is also difficult with change. So fa it has been easier for me to adapt, adjusting is not easy.
I think change is what happens in our lives bad or good and we either adapt to it or we don't. I have adapted to many changes in my life.

What are your thoughts on this? Do people have baseline personalities that don't change? If we want to "change" do we have to constantly work on our behavior, what we say and do? I just am not sure. I used to think people can really change, but I am now not as confident in this belief as I...

Or is it not?Have you ever noticed how people can come up with different answer for that simple question? And sometimes they also come up with more than one answers.“I...

She shows us that we can adapt to all kinds of circumstances. Knowing her loss of dear Ron make her poems especially poignant. https://hubpages.com/literature/Poem-Adapting-Behavior
