Does God Have a Religion and...

What was the religion of Adam and Eve?  Does the Christian Bible, versions way before King James and any newer versions, say anything about that?

Definitely, God  doesn't have a ' religion'- he doesn't need one; If Adam and Eve had  any 'religion', so far no one writes about; my religion (at this time) is good cooking and healthy living. ( It's subjected to change...)

Thanks for yur answer.  God is working in everyone in their daily lives, not just the once a week or in that book called the Bible.

The Bible doesn't say but I am thinking the word Religion is a man-made word.  Does the word Religion show up anywhere in the Bible?  I never noticed it in my studies.  I would say Adam and Eve had a personal relationship with God before they fell to sin.  Even though many Christians have personal relationship it was not as the one Adam and Eve had.

Lois: "Studies" of what? Not scripture! Look in ur concordance in ur bible religion does show up! Stop "studying" what man says and read scripture! Adam & Eve didn't need religion for they were made in the image of God until they fell! Seek "trut

I do read the Bible just saying I never saw the word religion in scripture.  Did I say Adam and Eve had religion?  Like me I don't have Religion I have a personal relationship

Lust Curious LR, how do you read your Bible?  Front to back?  Picking out a random verse?

I actually type out the chapters of the Bible-doing this for several years.  In OT I still have Jeremiah and Ezekiel to do in NT I am done through Galatians.  Gives me a deeper understanding.

That is impressive.  I would not have the patience.  When did you start doing this?  Quick question not meaning to be offensive but does soing this make you a follower of Christ?

I started doing this in 2007 and got halfway through Genesis but had it put it on hold cause of taking college courses.  I started back in 2009/2010.  If this was the only thing I did it would make me a fan not a follower of Christ

LoisRyan, no, she and a few others are like that all the time. They are very mean and they don't know when to quit.  They think they are better than anyone else becuz they think that they know their Bible.

The thing is I have answered some of her other questions and she has responded back respectfully.  Maybe somebody else uses her computer without her knowledge or maybe something else

The original "religion" was a way to commune with god. It was supposed to be a way for people to become better humans.

I think religion was a good idea at one time, but now it has corrupted itself with the power it holds over people's minds. "worship" centers used to be dedicated to improving the community, now it's all about power and money.

Excellent answer. Religion meant a relationship between humans & God, Higher Awareness/Being, & Ultimate Consciousness. It's has been perverted to instill fear, ignorance, powerlessness, self-loathing & a schizoid avoidance of the so-call

When Pastor Howard Storm had his near-death experience, in which he first went to hell, then to heaven, he was told that God is in ALL religions.  Each one teaches a different lesson various people need in order to reach Him.
Sandra Rogers, who also had a near-death experience (hers caused by an attempted suicide), says there are only two true religions; the one of Love and the one of Fear.
When Adam and Eve were sinless, they could commune with God directly, so they didn't need a religion.

The only sin in this world is the one in which religion makes it a point to tell others that they aren't good enough to love God and that God cannot talk through them or be in their lives.  I had a few OOBEs.
