These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold - and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Lam 1:1  How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
Lam 1:2  She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.

You're from Australia, right? Six years ago, I spent some time in Roweville which is upper or middle Victoria I believe. Some
friends introduced me to this guy who was in Queensland at the
time Steve Irwin. I was introduced to Him and his wife Teri. I
was there courtesy of a friend who was attached to Australian SAS. He was doing some security work for your PM at the time.

Oh. Steve was killed by a stingray, his ex Canadian wife and their two children are running the Australian Zoo. Steve had a huge following for his crocodile series on TV. A guy who was so full of life and love he is sorely missed here.
Rowville is an outer suburb of Melbourne and is on the lower Victorian south coast. smile I am about 15 Miles from Rowville. smile

When we met, I didn't know who he was. I was straight out of the
bush in South Central America off and on. At the base of the Andes here and there. Anyway, when I did find out he was THE Crocodile Hunter I'd heard of, I was all sorts of interested as Cayman Crocs run rampant in the areas I was traveling.

The man is a worldwide phenomena. He did all the American talk shows and was so enthusiastic he seemed manic to those who did not recognise the depth of love he felt for animals and all creatures including human! You must have loved being amongst the crocs. I have been amongst them often when in Northern Queensland and the NT. They have always fascinated me. A croc looks at you as if you are smothered in his favourite sauce! A little unnerving at first. smile The SAS is a very formidable force. smile

Let me share a story with you. For a bit of time, we had a camp within the area in question. There was this one croc. Female. We came to name her Elizabeth. Anyway, she'd visit our camp in the morning, poke around for food and then roll out. Sometimes, we'd deliberately leave a spidermonkey there, but usually she'd either walk away from it and sometimes she'd take it. This went on for a few weeks. She never attacked anyone nor did we bother her. Yeah, it was a good place for me. If that little venture wasn't work-related, I might've stayed past, but it is what it is. The guy I'm telling you about I met in Panama. His buddy was one of the two police officers shot in Melbourne in 1998.
              Remember?

Yes I was living close at the time. We had a spate of crime here that has been cleaned up since. We had another attack on an Australian Indian today. So sad. Some drunk racist.
You must write a hub about your experiences as they sound quite unique.
I am hurting at the moment from all the bad press my city has been getting from India over the robbery and bashing os Indian students here. I am as angry at the perpetrators as the Indians are, but this guy is in court this afternoon, and we announce the racist event, not hide it. I do hope the police get the rest of these hooligans soon. it will help everyone. smile

Why would any one be fearful of the any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

Tongues is a gift to Gods children, actually to these who operate in purity and a clean heart. Gods does not give a spirit of fear, satan does. And there is nothing Horrible associated with glossolalia, When a saint speak in tongues he has become mature in his relationship with the Father to a point were he does not have to have his prayers mediated by Christ, because they are perfect and go directly to the Father.

So why are you blaspheming the Holy Spirit and his gifts.

If I could've figured out a way to get her home on a military C130, I would've. I had a buddy who was serving with SEAL Team 4

I believe the reason we really didn't get popped for that was because at the time, there were many old Hueys still operational in that region and the one we "liberated" had no markings.

Pro 9:7-8 CEV  Correct a worthless bragger, and all you will get are insults and injuries.  (8)  Any bragger you correct will only hate you. But if you correct someone who has common sense, you will be loved.

Pro 9:12 GW  If you are wise, your wisdom will help you. If you mock, you alone will be held responsible.

Pro 13:1 BBE  A wise son is a lover of teaching, but the ears of the haters of authority are shut to sharp words.

Pro 14:6 ASV  A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.

Pro 15:12 KJVR  A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Pro 19:25 BBE  When blows overtake the man of pride, the simple will get sense; say sharp words to the wise, and knowledge will be made clear to him.

Pro 20:1 Webster  Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whoever is deceived by it is not wise.

Pro 21:11 BBE  When the man of pride undergoes punishment, the simple man gets wisdom; and by watching the wise he gets knowledge.

Pro 21:24 KJVR  Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

Pro 22:10 GW  Drive out a mocker, and conflict will leave. Quarreling and abuse will stop.

Pro 24:9 ASV  The thought of foolishness is sin; And the scoffer is an abomination to men.

Isa 29:20 GW  Tyrants will be gone. Mockers will be finished. All who look for ways to do wrong will come to an end:

    GET IT??

People with common sense will not need correcting. Which makes this meaningless nonsense. Especially as you are using it to correct some one. wink

From there Elisha went up to Bethel.  While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him.  "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!"  The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord.  Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces.  (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter.  And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?   (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV)

Mar 8:38  Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen.  "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."  (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

Son 1:7  Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
