      Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't.  Who cares, it his message of peace, love, and acceptance that we should be commenting on. 
      
      Oh how great he was!!!
      
      You know, when I see stuff like this, I try to put things into perspective.  I think of Alexander the Great.  He was openly bisexual.  However, I don't think there is a single person that would have called him a fagot to his face.  I don't think WestPoint teaches young Cadettes about his sexuality.  No, they teach him about his brilliance. Not who he was poking that day on the battlefield.

      If the bible is true, Jesus died at a very young age. (I would like to know exactly how old he was when he died.) If that is the case he might not have been interested in marriage, as most young men are not.
      
      Also, it would seem that he was more interested in gathering worshippers than having any known interest in sex or love of any kind. That could be why most priests take the no-sex vow. but, we all know none of them really practice it.

       A sock puppet is a sort of alter-ego of someone who has another account, but uses the alter ego (usually) to stir up mischief. It's generally frowned upon, but I understand lots of people do it...and many people know about who's sock puppets are who's. I, for one, have never been able to unravel it. I assume that every avatar is a single entity until proven otherwise. LOL

       Ehhh...the worst they'll do is flag your hub and ask you to edit it to comply with TOS if it's not in compliance. As long as you cooperate with TOS (terms of service) you should be fine. Make sure to read all the FAQS in the "help" section.
       
       If you're really worried about a first Hub, go to the Hub Makeover thread and get some help. There are all kinds of supportive people around here willing to lend a hand.

    There are rumors that Jesus was married too... And had children. Since we have no proof of Jesus even EXISTING, other than a book dedicated to his teachings, which could be entirely made up since there are MILLIONS of other books out there written about imaginary characters, there is no way for anyone to know if Jesus was a homosexual.
    
    Personally, I don't think it should matter either way. Christianity teaches its followers to love and accept people for who they are, although about 85% of Christians seem to have forgotten that the main focus of Jesus's teachings were about love, peace, and acceptance of your fellow man.

          I guess it all depends on your personal interpretation of the Bible and religious texts. If you look at the teachings in a negative way, all they will teach you is hatred. If you look at the teachings in a positive way, they will teach you love and tolerance.
          
          Unfortunately, most use the Bible as a way to put fear of God into the people. Perhaps this is part of the reason why I am no longer a Christian. As I grew older, I realized how easy it is to misconstrue the teachings of the Bible to mean, "Hate anyone even slightly different than you." Of course, I believe the people who have misconstrued it to mean these things must be miserable little people who only want others to be miserable with them.
          
          Fortunately, I have found a different path, one that teaches us to embrace differences and accept all other living creatures for what and whom they are.

    Back to what Elton John said: I think he'd like most men to be gay, just so as he could (according to his own conception of things) feel 'normal'.
    In actual fact, thinking, intelligent people don't give a damn about who is or isn't gay, and certainly have nothing against anyone who is -- because that would be plain stupid.
    I think he's also saying that only a gay man could have such good virtues as Jesus did.
    It's totally ridiculous.
