    very true Daniel.
labels are used to classify.. insignificant unless you're looking for m&m's without the m. even then they may or may not be accurate about what's inside the package.
actually a label is simply a word.

    Sufi said:

"This thread has nothing to do with civil rights or free speech, however much you want that to be true."

    Oh yes it IS!
Don't you know that civil rights, free speech, and freedom of relgion (meaning, freedom to IMPOSE one's religion, but only if it's fundamentalist Christian) are all the same thing?
And are not only guaranteed by the Constitution (which also applies to citizens of every country with which America interacts-- in other words, everyone), but guaranteed by the terms of use of Hub Pages?

How daft of me to forget that!

@Mark - Agreed. Scott.Life was a great  loss and that other nice young guy - Peter, was it?

@Ryan - That is her Modus Operandi. She tries to direct any thread towards the idea of civil rights and freedom of speech so that she can play the oppressed martyr.

We could hand out some scourges before people enter, so that they can indulge in a little self-flagellation.

Perhaps we could give them some nails and wood so that they can nail themselves up to a cross, whilst saying 'See, you ARE oppressing my civil rights and freedom of speech.'

Okay Brenda, It is futile, some people will go on an on and we will never get anywhere. We have to just let him think whatever he wants. Money is all that matters, apparantly and you will never get through to anybody who feels that way. I say it is a lost cause and to coninuing to butt heads will not work.

I guess if we made thousands, no millions on christian hubs, he would jump on that bandwagon too.

Of course he will say he wouldn't but he has already proven that he would.

On some occasions he has apologised - so I think we should leave him be -  "let him be he and we be we."

All hubbers must donate 50% of their earning to nearest church for holy work of brainwashing(err in the name of charity for poors). All hubbers must indulge in activity of making remarks on obama(or anything that is secular or atheistic). Cut 20% income of non-christian hubbers till they convert into Christianity. Ban adsense account of islamic hubbers to stagnate their population on hubpages. Do it...Just do it i say

I had to read through all 22 pages of this thread. I can only dream of having the same fame and notoriety as Mark. Those christians here that are upset by him should also be aware that among his list of fans are a fair number of friends of Jesus. So he hasn't pissed you all off that much.
One thing I have noticed that seems to be a recurring theme is; Why post in the religious forum if you are a non believer?
It's not that any of us visit that community with the intention of causing mayhem. But when you post or start a thread it appears on the first page of the forum list. So when someone starts saying that their god is "The One" and everyone who is not his slave is going to be damned for eternity, or when we see a thread that calls evolution satanic and anyone who votes democrat is not a true christian then of course people want to reply and bring it all into question.
Christians are mocked because their posts do not appear only in the believers forum. Their propaganda is right there on the first page in our faces.

As many people have pointed out time and time again, this is HubPages--not YayGod.net or JesusSavedMe.org. All of us are free to discuss our views on any subject in any forum at any time. If you don't want to listen to other peoples' opinions and beliefs, no matter how similar or different they are to yours, you should be posting on a Christian site and not here.
