The following user at the site Papatoto.com has been posting hubpage user content.
ht tp://papatoto.com/article_members-profile_Gelal (remove the space, I dont give backlinks to thieves)
So far i have only noticed articles by CMHYPNO (on apple cider vinegar), myself, MoneyGlitch (butt naked ice swimming)and RCMcCrayne (vegggie burgers)
They seem to all have been the top/hot hubs at one point.
( http://papatoto.com/article_members-profile_Gelal_5)(nevermind this users lifetime is so short, the backlink wont help)
but every article i checked was stolen from somewhere and i dont expect only 5 of 140 were from hubpages.
The site owners contact email is:
ryanliu@papatoto.com
I have emailed and requested complete removal of the user from his site. ( With the suggestion that would be an easier solution than dealing with the dozens of DMCA notices that will come his way for lack of compliance)
If You find your own articles there I suggest you do the same.
also an article by wandererh was stolen
and stephhicks68
Thats 7 hubbers with content stolen and hosted on another site.

There are more, but im done looking.
Take a peek, see if your own or friends work you recognize has been stolen.
Heres one of Gaz Cooper or cgull that was cribbed

My 12 belly fat foods was cribbed
and I see there is a 60 dc rss feed hub there too.I thought 60 dc was invented on hubpages.
Also this one by JGuant http://hubpages.com/hub/Best-Computer-Monitor-2010
I tried scrolling through her index to check titles, and I could not get past the third page of her articles. Does that mean anything?
and this one by DRBJ http://hubpages.com/hub/Worlds-Largest- … ip--Review
Thanks for the heads up sunforged. For some reason the Apple Cider Vinegar hub has been a thief magnet, and it has already been copied on several sites
Heres the belly fat one
http://hubpages.com/hub/12-essential-foods-when-dieting
Almost everything is copied there...And also I see that it has been more than 3 months and like Aficionada, I also could not browse through after 3rd page.
Can I report too even if my hub is not copied(I mean adsense)
Thanks for letting us know!!
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Most-Beauti … en-Over-40
that is from sabreblade here at HP,

and I saw of course SF's RSS hub
just use the back or previous arrow
I find that adsense notification is rarely necessary when the thief is not the site owner. When its this obvious, the site owner just hits delete to avoid a headache.
of course, your welcome to email the site owner, simply to show support and make it very clear that hubpage users dont sit still when stolen from.
ive contacted site owners for theft of content that wasnt my own.
I will also do the same and show my support and solidarity!!
Update: Emailed the site owner.
site owner notified me that my stolen article has been removed. That doesnt satisfy me, I want the thief's entire account deleted.
If your hub has been stolen it seems the site owner, is at least willing to delete the stolen content when contacted.
Check this one out. Stolen.

I asked the contact to remove. We will see.
I emailed Money Glitch already! It is funny because her copied hub -- Butt Naked etc -- adsense was disabled here at HP and the one who copied it is earning from it, LOL
He's GETTING Adsense off of that hub!!!!
Now if that's not enough to make me spit fire...
I argued with and always felt HP was being way too sensitive on that hub, simply because of the words 'butt naked'.
Thanks for the e-mail Maita and SunForged thanks for letting us all know. I'm off to e-mail the site owner now... I'll post my results, later grrrrhhhh!
Thanks sunforged. I used the email address that you provided for the site owner to ask my article be removed, and inquired why the user Gelal was not removed. Time I should have been spending to prepare for my peds eval!
it's great to know someone is watching out for us...
i checked and didn't find any one mine...
i guess t pays to be mediocre..LOL
maybe we shouldn't have numbers showing on each profile or hubs...only have them available on the hubbers control panel...
This hub on "Real vampires" has been copied http://hubpages.com/hub/Real-Vampires original writer CrazyHorseGhost on scam site papatoto.com
I will be contacting GoDaddy and Adsense - the site owner has had ample warning to deal with the thief, any one with a modicum of net savvy can tell all this users content is stolen and failure to react can only be seen as acceptance of the practice.

hmm, you think the theft is at a large enough level that Hubpages corporate should step in?
They should definitely step in. Infact every article there is copied mostly the ones that were in the "Hot" and "Best" Feed. I will have to carefully check again if some of my hubs are stolen too.

That seems like a direct insult to me, this piddling little site is copying staff members content! They have been notified about the large amount of copied hubpages content they are hosting and failed to respond in a timely manner.
Crush em!
This may sound novice, but how does a hubber know if an article has been ripped-off other than when a very savvy hubber like you alerts us? By the way, it's nice to know you have a huge amount of integrity Sunforged and a wonderful team spirit.
You can paste a unique para of your hub in google and see the google search results. Alternatively, you can go to the site that SF mentions and directly search for your hubs by title, these copycats dont even change that!!
Yikes! They seem very bold. Thank you for the advice englightenedsoul, your response is appreciated.
I was notified by the Hubpage feature (the little copyright symbol) , when scanning the users hub titles I noticed many that I recognized.
There really is no surefire way to check for dupes outside of manually searching random strings of your text in google or using a paid service that does such a thing for you.
Thank you SF. Not that I have any reason to worry about my hubs being used, but over time, this may be a concern. Thanks for everything by the way. You're a good leader here on HP.
k9keystrokes you can also visit http://www.hubdefender.com/ and type in the url of your hubs to see if they are copied elsewhere.
I think Edweirdo(a 60dc participant) is now providing basic account for free. May certainly help.
Hhhmmm, that was fast mine has been removed. I guess the owner is beginning to feel the heat. But, I agree with SF, the member should be shut down obviously they've copied a lot of work done by others...
Thanks again, SF, if I haven't told you lately, "I really appreciate all the help you've given me as well as others"
WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED!!!

Interesting Author.... Detective IW Kickurarse
Your comments will ensure that these guys think twice about doing this BS again.... And will also give Defective KickButt a vastly improved web presence! I think he's a Great Commodity for us here!
Thank you SF!
I have just signed up with HubDefender (got a free account!) and ran a search on some of my Hubs.
A couple come back as having been used by someone else... Me.
A few weeks ago I shut down a HubPages account and opened a new one as myself, slightly renaming some Hubs and taking them to the new account.
I was told in the forums that when an account is removed, the Hubs are deleted. Luckily it is only me copying my work, but is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks again for the heads up on the bogus site and on HubDefender.
An elephant stamp for your efforts!
Edit... Have since found that my old Hubs are gone, but URL of some remain. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks for all your great information Sunforged - I have just got an email from the site saying that the article has been removed.
Good work SF! I commented on the site too, but I really really didn't like given them traffic and exposure. If you read their front pages, each article lists how many times they had been read, and most of them were single figures.
The site owner probably thought it was Christmas when he saw the stats from our visits. (there are always a lot more people visit sites listed here than there are commenters).
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Get-My-K … e-Services
This one has been copied -it was written by Mark Daniels - I'll send him an email but he doesn't look to active on HP anymore.
Thanks for the heads up. I signed up for HubDefender after reading this forum thread and found a handful of my hubs copied on other sites and even made into video presentations without my permission. Now I'm wondering if I should add a copyright statement at the end of each of my hubs.
you can, but it doesn't deter them if they want it. a few weeks ago I found one of my personal accounts of my time in Paris was stolen and the guy had changed pronouns to the feminine when talking about his romantic partner! I felt so violated!! I contacted the owner and it was removed. some of these jerks simply go to the front page or the best hubs and steal them, and yes, some of them have accounts here!
good work Detective Kickbutt!!
Thank-you prettydark horse for letting me know, this is the second one of mine that has been stolen that I am aware of and another hubber told me about the first so, thank-you all for looking out for each other...
OK, is it lame that nothing of mine was worth stealing?
The thief had 140 stolen articles...now only 7 remain!
Good Job hubpages! you not only defended your own work - but also the work of another 100 authors who may never have known they were stolen from.
to bad, we already ranked this thread for "papatoto scam" .. guess, admin should have done the right thing a little bit quicker?
Death to pirates and thieves
looks like only one stolen article remains for that user! (the other 6 are about nepal where the user claims to hail from)
How did you find out about this anyway?
